Alumni Profile: Hameeda Uloomi During her two years at El Camino, Hameeda Uloomi became a straight-A political science major, an award-winning debater, an active student government rep, and founder/ leader of a nonprofit. She found friends and support at El Camino and said it seemed like everything was possible. Uloomi transferred to Yale University this fall.

New Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Care El Camino students can now earn a bachelor’s degree in respiratory care. Our existing two-year accredited associate degree program recently expanded to offer a Bachelor of Science degree that prepares students for careers as respiratory therapists. The accelerated 18-month bachelor’s degree program includes 41 units and is offered in an online format across three semesters. This new degree path offers education and training for high-demand and well-paying careers at a much lower cost than earning a degree from a four-year college or university.
