Here comes summer (hopefully)!! It does seem a long time in coming. May is the traditional time for the Romerias so we can look forward to the colourful processions over the coming weeks, the ViĂąuela Romeria is the last weekend in May, which you will see from the ViĂąuela updates on page 5, unfortunately I have not been informed of the dates of any other Romeria. Also May is the time the Spanish celebrate their First Communion so be warned it can be quite difficult booking a restaurant on a Sunday throughout May.
A little bit of exciting news for you, myself, Stewart and Carol together with our partners, have been invited to the British Ambassadors Residence in Madrid for a Garden Party to celebrate the Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle we are really looking forward to it! On to Club matters, we have been working very hard to come up with a full programme of events for the coming months which we hope you will enjoy, page 9 gives you the itinerary for the proposed trip to Valencia in October, we hope you will be able to go.
Last but not least I would like to say a big Thank You to Carol and Yvonne who have stepped down from the committee, they have worked hard over the past 12 months and will be missed. Also I would like to thank Anne for returning and also to Louis for putting himself forward for the committee I look forward to working with both of you over the coming year.
