Chairmans report by sue jones Good morning all, I hope you are all managing to keep cool despite this intense heat! I just want to remind you to keep your mobile phones etc safe when you are out and about, do not put them on the table while you are in the cafes and bars. A favourite trick of the ‘lookie, lookie men and women is to put their goods on or near your valuables then pick up your phones etc with their goods as they move away - it’s very easy to be distracted by them.
The committee have been working very hard to come up with ideas for the rest of the year so keep checking out our website for updates, we are already in the planning stages for our trip away next year, which will most likely be to Valencia. Remember, there is no meeting or newsletter in August, also, there will not be a committee member at Meson Sara on a Friday mornings during August, but there is the walk on the 10th.
Also you can contact any of us by telephone, although some of us may be out of the country! Don’t forget Mario Blanke’s visit in October, you may submit one question of a general nature, (Mario cannot answer personal questions) these need to be handed to a committee member before the end of July if possible Enjoy your summer wherever and with whoever you are spending it and I look forward to seeing you in September.
