Chairmans report by sue Jones I’m pleased to say I have managed to shake off the bronchitis that plagued me earlier in January and am looking forward to getting back to normal. It has been quite a cold start to the year but at least we don’t have the snow that seems to be covering the UK and we do have the beautiful almond blossom which is appearing all over to cheer us up. Keeping warm is the most important thing for all of us as we are getting older.
Please remember, if you haven’t renewed your membership it is time to do so, remember we cannot book you onto trips and events at the members rate unless your membership is up to date . There is still time to book for the Menu del Dia on the 14th of this month and also the Petanc and Wine tasting, please note the change of venue due to the ongoing works at the cultural centre in Viñuela.
There are still places available for the Cordoba trip, but the hotel will not hold the booking beyond 1st March so we must have the final numbers before the end of February a deposit of €50 will secure your place. The AGM is fast approaching and your committee is, as always, looking for new members and welcome you with open arms, please give it some thought, there is only so much we can do on our own.
