Renovation project at Hillcrest Health Care Hillcrest Health Care Services in Hawarden is embarking on a renovation project that will give the facility a fresh new look and make the facility available to more individuals. Currently one wing is being cleared, making way for the renovation. These rooms, which are all semi-private rooms, will be renovated with new paint, carpet, lighting and many other furnishings. The hall will also receive a complete make over. When completed, the resident rooms will be available either for single occupancy or for a married couple. Individuals needing assisted living but who cannot find immediate placement can occupy one of the renovated rooms in Hillcrest. Special pricing options are available for these rooms depending on whether the individual requires nursing home level of care or

assisted living. Once an individual occupies a newly renovated room, it secures their spot for preferential placement in Mica Hill Estates when an apartment becomes available. Melodee Wilkens, Administrator of Hillcrest and Mica Hill indicates that interest is strong in the newly renovated wing. Dan Myers, President of Careage Management, LLC, the owner of Hillcrest and Mica Hill adds, “We will start preparing the hall in the coming days. The order has been placed for many of the materials and unfortunately it can’t come quick enough. This renovation will set the stage for other future enhancements to this great facility.” For more information, please contact melodee Wilkens at Hillcrest at 712-551-1074.
