When we apply a force to a spring, it stretches or compresses. The spring’s extension or compression is proportional to the applied force: đ??š = đ?‘˜đ?‘Ľ

Where: F = The applied force x = The spring’s extension k = The spring constant This law is known as Hooke’s Law. It enables us to use the extension or compression of the spring to measure force.
