Writing Clips 2014-2015, Groove Korea

In May 2014 Groove Korea devoted an entire issue to women, and I contributed a piece about violence against women. I interviewed some brave survivors, a Korean professor, and a representative of the nation’s police agency in charge of investigating sex crimes. The story starts on page 74. The February 2015 issue focused on expats in Korea who’d made a difference. I spoke with Yiombi Thona, a Congolese refugee and renowned human rights advocate, for a short piece on page 102. For the October 2015 issue, I looked into animal abuse in Korea and the laws and systems in place to address it. The story starts on page 16.
