OUR MASTER PLAN:

thoughtful building since 2012 When the founders acquired the former campus of Marian High School in 1983, the facilities had been left vacant and unlocked for several years, leaving the space open to considerable decay and vandalism.

With only a year to prepare the campus for students, the founders worked tirelessly to renew and repurpose the original and aged buildings. With extensive ongoing maintenance, these buildings continued to serve the campus for many years until enrollment and heavy use required new facilities to prepare students for the ever -evolving world ahead of them. Through extensive campaigns and the generosity of countless donors, the EHS campus has been transformed:

• Increases space for the arts by 52% (from 40 ,000 to 61,000 square feet). D emand had exceeded capacity, with 85 % of EHS students asking for an arts experience all four years.

• Allows for cross- curricular collaboration to flourish. Instructors can now capitalize on newfound proximity and facilitate classeswherestudents actively engage in lessonsdepicting howart relates to academics.

• Helps develop well- rounded students who are also renowned world- class artists. Positioned at the heart of

campus, our modern arts facility has amplified one of the School’s most distinctive strengths and expanded opportunitiesfor artistic expression.

• Introduces upgraded classroomsand new equipment that arts students want and that top colleges expect us to offer—everything from theatrical equipmentto the latest digital animationtechnology.

• Includes the addition of Sarofim Hall, a multi- functional venue for all forms of performing arts – theatre, dance,

instrumental, and vocal ensembles – that is adaptableto multiple configurations (including proscenium, thrust, and theater in the round) and has state- of- the- art lighting and sound systems, top- of- the- line tension grid, and acoustically tuned ceiling panelsand wallcurtains to enhance variedacousticalneeds.

THE RENEWAL OF THE BENITEZ CHAPEL

The Beating Heart of Our Community Daily Chapel is the beating heart of our community when we come together for Episcopal worship that is welcoming to all. These moments are for every student to have the opportunity to reflect, to form their faith, and to share sacred time and space as we are all one before God.

Chapel

IS THE PLACE WHERE OUR COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER DAILY. A larger Chapel will accommodate every student and faculty member. In addition, EHS will be able to welcome parents, visitors, and guest speakers to campus, enhancing programming and fostering the ongoing growth in our community.

The Chapel is intentionally designed as a place of shared formation, community, and reflection.

Thoughtful architectural planning ensures that every student has clear sight lines, while carefully engineered acoustics allow each voice and message to be heard.

The new design will bring students closer to the altar, providing deeper student participation and engagement.

The balcony will provide flexible configurations for musical and vocal performances, as well as additional seating.

Mental Health & Wellness Center The new Mental Health & Wellness Center is an integral part of the renewed Chapel and will unite all student support services, bringing together the expertise of mental health counselors, nurses, and chaplains.

It will include a new nurse’s office and will consolidate wellness, counseling, and pastoral care, allowing for more cohesive and personalized student care.

By combining these three groups in our new wellness space, we are creating a holistic support system that addresses the physical, mental, and spiritual well - being of our students.
