NEWS FROM ENGLEWOOD HEALTH FOUNDATION • SUMMER 2025

There is something irresistible about the pace and pressure of a good game show. I am always drawn in, watching eagerly as contestants give it their all.

Here at Englewood Health, I see that same drive and determination every day. And the prize is indeed life-changing: brighter futures for families across our region.

Thanks to your generosity, we continue raising the bar—expanding access, enhancing care and building a stronger, more innovative health system for all. There is still so much more we can do, together.

In this issue of Connect, I am happy to step up to the puzzle board and turn a few letters as we reveal just how far philanthropy takes us. Thanks for being in it to win it.

Audrey de Jonge

TO LEND A HAN D

Let’s give a big round of applause for standout contestant Audrey de Jonge. This lifelong Bergen County resident brings heart, hustle and a whole lot of hometown pride to Englewood Health. Inspired by her mother’s remarkable 30-year volunteer legacy, she proudly carries the torch as a member of the health system’s high-performing volunteer team. From answering phones and delivering supplies to offering a warm welcome to visitors, Audrey is always ready to help. She is one of nearly 200 volunteers who in 2024 alone contributed close to 30,000 hours and completed more than 11,000 service calls across the hospital.

But Audrey does not stop there. She is also a supporter of the Englewood Health Foundation, giving back to ensure others receive high-quality, compassionate care. When she is not winning hearts at the hospital, Audrey enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, soaking up every joyful moment. Her passion for people, service and community makes her a true Englewood Health all-star. Let’s hear it for Audrey—a hometown hero who is always ready to play the giving game for a win!

Put your hands together for a powerhouse doc who is a champion for prevention. Internist Anand Srinivasan, MD, brings heart, hometown roots and a patient-first mindset to his role in the Englewood Health Physician Network (EHPN). Guided by a philosophy passed down from his father—always try to help people, all people—Dr. Srinivasan is committed to advancing the delivery of high-quality care and improving outcomes for families across the region.

To address common health issues like high cholesterol and high blood pressure, Dr. Srinivasan believes lifestyle changes often offer the biggest returns. He is a strong advocate for managing health challenges through smart, sustainable habits like diet and exercise—turning to medication only when necessary. For patients with chronic or complex conditions, he leans on a coordinated care model, working in collaboration with EHPN cardiologists and other specialists to develop seamless, personalized plans.

Dr. Srinivasan’s ties to Englewood Hospital are longstanding—his parents worked here, his children were born here and he attended school in nearby Demarest. Returning to this community to work as a physician felt personal. That history shapes his approach to care, with a focus on building trust and making high-quality care more accessible. He credits philanthropy with helping to recruit top clinicians, acquire leading-edge technology and bring preventive services closer to home for more families.

Look who made the bonus round—Englewood Health! This year, we celebrate 135 years of care, commitment and community impact. From our roots as a community hospital to our place as a trusted regional leader, we evolved with purpose and a patient-first philosophy.

Generous philanthropic support throughout the years fueled incredible progress, enabling us to prioritize access, equity and innovation. Whether expanding behavioral health services, strengthening heart and cancer care or embracing digital transformation, we are building a system ready to meet the future. At the heart of it all is a world-class clinical team, featuring exceptional physicians and top-tier nurses.

“We are educators, advocates, leaders and innovators who know that our collaboration leads to stronger patient outcomes,” says Englewood Health Chief Nursing Officer Kathleen Kaminsky, MS, RN, NE-BC, now in her 40th year with the health system. “This anniversary is a celebration of people— those who paved the way, those carrying our legacy forward and those who depend on us for next-level care.”

There are many more big wins to come. Thanks to you, we are more than in the game—we are changing it.
