أعلنت الخطوط الجوٌة السعودٌة إٌقاف الحجوزات والرحالت من وإلى مدٌنة تورنتو الكندٌة اعتبارا من ٌوم االثنٌن المقبل ،على خلفٌة األزمة األخٌرة بٌن البلدٌن. وأضافت الخطوط السعودٌة الٌوم االثنٌن فً بٌان لها أنه سٌتم إعفاء جمٌع التذاكر الصادرة من وإلى تورنتو من أٌة قٌود أو رسوم عند اإللغاء أو إعادة إصدار التذاكر أو استعادة قٌمتها. وأكدت أنها ستعمل على إٌجاد حلول بدٌلة للحاجزٌن على رحالت الخطوط إلى تورنتو.

تسٌر شركة مصر للطٌران الٌوم الثالثاء 19رحلة جوٌة إلى جدة والمدٌنة لنقل 4753حاجا إلى األراضى المقدسة من مبنى الصالة الموسمٌة بمطار القاهرة الدولى. وقالت مصادر بمطار القاهرة الدولى إنه من المقرر أن ٌغادر الٌوم الثالثاء 4753حاجا من حجاج القرعة والتضامن وبعثات وزارة الداخلٌة ،مشٌرة إلى أنه من المقرر أن ٌتم تسٌٌر 19رحلة من مطار القاهرة ،وذلك إلى مطار المدٌنة وجدة بواقع 12رحلة إلى جدة و7 رحالت إلى المدٌنة.

مصر للطٌران تنقل 870حاجا من قطاع غزة على متن 3رحالت إلى جدة
أشأ سٌرت شركة (مصر للطٌران) ،أمس االثنٌن 3 ،رحالت جوٌة خاصة لنقل حجاج قطاع غزة إلى المملكة العربٌة السعودٌة ألداء مناسك الحج ،فً إطار الجسر الجوي الذي تنظمه (مصر للطٌران) لنقل 3321حاجا فلسطٌنٌا على متن عدد من الرحالت الجوٌة خالل 4أٌام. وذكرت مصادر بمطار القاهرة أن الشركة الوطنٌة (مصر للطٌران) سٌرت 3رحالت جوٌة إلى مطار جده الدولً أرقام 3276و 3278و3280 على متنها 870حاجا فلسطٌنٌا ،بعد وصولهم عبر النقل البري قادمٌن من معبر رفح. ٌذكر أن (مصر للطٌران) بدأت ،أمس األول األحد ،فً تفوٌج الحجاج الفلسطٌنٌٌن ونقلت أمس 1105حجاج فلسطٌنٌٌن عبر 4رحالت جوٌة، وخصصت سلطات مطار القاهرة فرٌقا من ضباط الجوازات لسرعة إنهاء إجراءات السفر بتنسٌق من مندوب السفارة الفلسطٌنبة بالقاهرة.

نقل حاجة فلسطٌنٌة لمستشفى مصر للطٌران بسبب إصابتها بجروح فً قدمها
حنان عز الدين أصٌبت حاجة فلسطٌنٌة بجروح مختلفة فً قدمها ،وذلك أثناء نزولها من األتوبٌس الخاص بنقل الفوج المرافق لها ،وذلك أمام الصالة الموسمٌة بالمطار ،وتقرر نقلها إلى مستشفى مصر للطٌران لتلقً العالج. وقالت مصادر طبٌة بمطار القاهرة ،إنه أثناء نزول "ف.ح ".سقطت سٌدة مسنة من حافلة سٌاحٌة كانت تقل مجموعة من حجاج دولة فلسطٌن قادمٌن من معبر رفع الحدودي ،سقطت على األرض. وأضافت المصادر أنه على الفور أخطرت إدارة الحجر الصحً بمطار القاهرة برئاسة الدكتور حازم حسٌن ،وتم توقٌع الكشف الطبً على المسافرة وتبٌن إصابتها بجروح متفرقة فً الساقٌن ،وتم إلغاء سفرها ونقلها إلى مستشفى مصر للطٌران تحت إشراف محمود غنٌم مشرف إسعاف المطار ،بتكلٌف من إبراهٌم حسن مدٌر إسعاف مطار القاهرة ،لتلقً العالج.

مصر للطٌران تستهدف إطالق خط جوي بٌن القاهرة واشنطن

https://www.aircargonews.net First A330-200 freighter conversion delivered to Egyptair Cargo Egyptair Cargo has taken delivery of an Airbus A330-200 Passenger-to-Freighter (P2F) converted aircraft from Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW). The delivery comes following the successful completion of test flights in June and awarding of the Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA) in July. The A330 conversion programme is largely seen as a successor to the Boeing 767 programme, which will begin to see feedstock dry up over the coming years just as A330s reach the right age for conversion. For Egyptair, the order is part of plans to expand its fleet and launch new services. The A330P2F conversion programme, launched in 2012, is a collaboration between ST Engineering Aerospace, Airbus and their joint venture EFW. The companies said: "The timely redelivery of MSN 600 is a result of the excellent spirit of cooperation between the partners EFW, ST Engineering Aerospace and Airbus and the remarkable support by EASA, Launch Customer Egyptair and the ECAA. To date Egyptair Cargo has firm orders for three A330-200P2F units." ST Engineering Aerospace, as the programme and technical lead for the engineering development phase, is responsible for applying for the STCs from EASA and the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Airbus contributes to the programme with OEM data and certification support, while EFW leads the industrialisation phase as well as sales and marketing for the freighter conversion programme. The re-delivery of the A330-200P2F marks the successful inauguration of the all new A330P2F family with the larger -300P2F being certified and delivered to Launch Customer DHL by end of 2017. "Both types are ideal aircraft for serving the international regional and medium range cargo and e-commerce express markets," EFW said. "The A330P2F can carry up to 61 metric tonnes of structural payload over up to 3,900 nautical miles, while offering significant volumetric capabilities with up to 26 main deck and up to 32 lower deck positions. "This and the new P2F generation efficiency are supposed to lower cost-per-tonne compared other available freighter aircraft types in this size segment." While this is the first A330-200P2F converted aircraft delivered by EFW, it placed its first larger A330-300P2F with DHL in late 2017.

The summit is being hosted by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) in cooperation with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), a United Nations agency responsible for managing civil aviation activities across the world. The event will take place in Cape Town from August 8-10 and will aim to bring a meaningful gender transformation and equality in aviation. According to South Africa’s Deputy Minister of Transport, Sindisiwe Chikunga, the days of marginalising and relegating women across the globe to mere spectators when it comes to the air transport sector, are simply over. “The discussion about total inclusivity and gender equality in aviation is long overdue, especially considering the fact that it has been over 104 years since the world's first scheduled passenger airline flight took-off. The time has come for all of us to vigorously challenge the status quo and in the process shift everyone’s mindset, and alter the systems that have enabled the status to continue, namely education, media, social and organisational values. We simply have to dismantle all barriers and build enablers that would bring about equality in aviation,” said Chikunga, in a press release. ICAO’s Secretary General, Dr Fang Liu, said gender equality is central to sustainable development. “Aviation already contributes greatly to peace, prosperity and sustainable development, all over the world; yet aviation can do even more for our society, and especially for women. In order to accomplish this, it must first become a better example of gender equality in action. We must address head-on why women are still underrepresented in the majority of the technical and executive positions in aviation. This summit should be seen as a key opportunity to explore the challenges and enablers to women’s advancement across a variety of technical and scientific disciplines,” Liu said.

Africa, last frontier for air service development While Africa has one of the biggest populations in the world with about a billion people, its aviation industry is considered small, weak and fragmented, representing only about five per cent of the global market. The continent is rich with breath-taking tourist sites and natural resources, ranging from minerals to oil and water. It is undoubtedly easier to travel and explore the African continent today than 20 years ago and infrastructure is improving in many regions enabling more visitors and a better business environment for corporations. But, significant efforts still have to be achieved in specific regions where infrastructure, protectionism, high taxes, safety or regulatory issues continues to undermine commercially aviation and possibilities for efficient intra-African travel. One of the reasons why African countries seem unable to attract a large amount of foreign investments is that there is no direct airline connection to reach them. Foreign investors are less likely to travel to distant and not easily accessible places, even if there are great opportunities. As a result, aviation in Africa should be considered a priority sector by the respective African governments so that it can boost the economic development of their countries. Being the biggest pan-African airline, Ethiopian Airlines has greatly contributed in making the Addis Ababa Bole Airport an aviation hub and a gateway to Africa. Similarly, for Kenya Airways, the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi is a springboard to access not only the east African region, but also the central and western part of Africa. As for South African Airways, from its Johannesburg base at OR Tambo International Airport, it covers most of the southern African region. Growth Except for South Africa and Nigeria, where their economic growth stagnated in 2015 and eventually fell into recession in the first quarter of 2016, Ethiopia and Kenya grew at a very fast rate of 7.5 per cent and 5.8 per cent in 2016 respectively. 2 Fastest growing economies Aviation is the critical link that not only connects Africa to the world, but also builds bridges among the various African countries. It is only when there are better airline connections, enabling the movement of goods and people, those business activities can flourish. With lower business travel costs, countries can then better attract foreign investors and create better business opportunities. According to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the top-five African countries that had the biggest stock of foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2016, are South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Morocco and Angola, with $136.8bn, $102.3bn, $94.2bn, $54.8bn and $49.5bn respectively. Of the five countries, only South Africa, Egypt and Morocco have a major national carrier. Nigeria is at the verge of establishing a national airline by December 2019. From the 2016 World Bank statistics, among the top-10 fastestgrowing economies in the world, there are three African countries – Cote D’ Ivoire, Ethiopia and Tanzania at third, fourth and 10th position respectively. Moreover, the top-10 fastest-growing African countries grew by at least five per cent in 2016, with Ivory Coast the highest at 7.8 per cent. Among these 10 countries, only Ethiopia and Kenya have a major national carrier, while Ivory Coast, Senegal, Djibouti, Mali, Burkina Faso and Togo have mainly small regional and domestic carriers.

3 Massive investment As for Rwanda and Tanzania, they are investing massively to build their national carriers and support their economic growth. In 2016, RwandAir took delivery of two new Airbus A330s, enabling it to reach London and other major European cities in the future, whereas Air Tanzania is investing in a new Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner, as well as two Bombardier CS300 aircraft. For 2016, those fast-growing countries – Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania – that have or are in the process of further developing their national carriers, have been able to attract significant Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) of $3.2bn, $1.4bn, $410m and $394m respectively. As for the others without a major national carrier connecting them globally – Ivory Coast, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Togo, Djibouti, and Mali – they attracted significantly less FDI with $481m, $393m, $309m, $255m, $160m and $126m received respectively. Hence, if these countries are able to boost their national carrier and aviation sector, there may be a greater possibility of attracting bigger FDI. Besides developing the aviation industry, the increasing passenger traffic not only helps to support its growth with increasing connectivity, but it also brings about economic spill overs like the creation of jobs in hospitality, tourism, logistics and other industries. According to the Air Transport Action Group (ATAG), the aviation sector supports about 6.8 million jobs and generated $72.5bn to the African economies in 2014. There are tremendous opportunities that Africa can tap into in the aviation industry. At the moment, the passenger traffic is mainly from 10 African countries, representing a population of about 600 million. If there is a one per cent traffic increase from the other half of the African population, there will be an increase of about six to seven million passengers every year. Besides, with the rising middle class in Africa, there will be higher demand for travel. As a result, the increasing passenger traffic will easily justify the heavy investments needed in airlines and airport infrastructure. There are tremendous opportunities that Africa can tap into in the aviation industry. At the moment, the passenger traffic is mainly from 10 African countries, representing a population of about 600 million.
