تأخر إلالع 5رحالت طٌران دولٌة بمطار الماهرة شهدت حركة الطٌران بمطار الماهرة الدولً ،الجمعة ،تأخر إلالع 5رحالت طٌران دولٌة عن موعد اإللالع الممرر لها ،بسبب ظروف التشغٌل وأعمال الصٌانة واألعطال الفنٌة .وأوضح مصدر مالحً بمطار الماهرة أن رحلة شركة نسما للطٌران 170المتجهة إلى جدة تأخرت ساعتٌن بسبب عطل فنً ،كما تأخرت رحلة الخطوط الكوٌتٌة المتجهة إلى الكوٌت ساعة ونصف الساعة بسبب أعمال الصٌانة. وأضاف المصدر أن رحلة الخطوط التركٌة 691المتجهة إلى إسطنبول تأخرت ساعة ونصف الساعة بسبب أعمال الصٌانة ،كما تأخرت رحلة الخطوط المغربٌة 273المتجهة إلى كازابالنكا ساعة لظروف التشغٌل ،وتأخرت رحلة طٌران النٌل 143المتجهة إلى أبها ساعة ونصف الساعة لعطل فنً.

كتب أحمد طارق وصلت منذ للٌل بعثة منتخب الكونغو إلى مطار برج العرب باإلسكندرٌة ،على متن طائرة خاصة ،استعدادا لمواجهة الفراعنة بعد غد األحد فى تصفٌات موندٌال روسٌا .2018وعرضت لناة "أون سبورت" لحظة وصول بعثة المنتخب الكونغولً إلً مطار برج العرب ،بعد أن تم إجراء بعض التعدٌالت على رحلة السفر ،وإلغاء الترانزٌت الذى كان من الممرر أن ٌحدث فى مطار أسوان. وحدد المنتخب الكونغولى أكثر من موعد للوصول ،لبل أن تصل البعثة رسمٌا منذ للٌل استعدادا لمواجهة الفراعنة. ٌذكر أن منتخب مصر ٌتصدر المجموعة برصٌد 9نماط.

Egypt Air uses Boeing Dreamliner and Airbus A320neo Ahmed Saad The Board of Directors of EgyptAir Holding Company agreed to use the Boeing and Airbus models to develop the company’s fleet within the plan that was previously established. Safwat Musallam, chairman of EgyptAir Holding, said the use of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner was approved, as well as Airbus A320neo. He told Daily News Egypt that the board has agreed in principle to those models, which represent a large proportion of the 33-aircraft deal, which EgyptAir had previously announced. He explained that the company is considering the financing methods of the deal after the selection of the model, including purchase or lease for the purpose of purchase or lease financing. He said other meetings would decide on the other models and sizes of aircraft that the company will rely on in the coming period as part of its plan to modernize the fleet. Minister of Civil Aviation, Sherif Fathy, said in press remarks that they have great flexibility in the strategic plan to modernize EgyptAir’s fleet, which allows them to contract aircraft according to financial capabilities. He stressed that other major airlines lease their planes as well. EgyptAir signed a deal with Boeing for nine aircraft of the same model. The deal was valued at $850m and was financed by Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE).

Bernard Dunn, President of Boeing Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, told Daily News Egypt earlier that EgyptAir is among the most important Boeing customers, with most of its fleet of Boeing aircraft. He added that his company had submitted offers to EgyptAir for a bid put up by EgyptAir to obtain new aircraft. Egypt Air is seeking to modernize its fleet with adding 33 planes, including 27 medium aircraft and 6 wide planes. The deal will continue through to 2020/2021, which would make the fleet of 84 planes

STAR ALLIANCE ANNOUNCES THE 21 WINNERS OF ITS 20th ANNIVERSARY MILEAGE MILLIONAIRE COMPETITION As part of its 20th Anniversary celebrations, Star Alliance ran an online competition offering 21 winners, one from each of the 21 Frequent Flyer Programmes (FFPs) of the member airlines, one million miles or equivalent* to be credited to their selected FFP account. An independent panel selected the winning entries from a large number of high-class submissions. These feature cultural experiences from across the globe, stretching from the Grand Canyon in the USA, through the ancient cultures of South America, across various cities in Europe, to the stunning beautiful cultures of Africa and the diverse vibrance of Asia and the South Pacific. A map showing the winning entries can be found on the Star Alliance website. The Competition ran from the Alliance’s 20th Anniversary, May 14th, 2017, through to July 31st, 2017. It was based on the 20th Anniversary theme of “Connecting People and Cultures”. To enter, participants needed to upload a profile picture, or selfie, of themselves together with a photo of their favourite cultural experience. A unique photo tool merged the two pictures to create an overlay which formed the Competition entry picture. Entrants then provided a brief textual description of the cultural experience and its unique attributes. The text and picture were judged together to determine the winners. All entries can be found on a special map on the Star Alliance website. In line with the theme of the competition, this map can be used by other customers to gain inspiration from the cultural experiences shared.

Each of the 28 Star Alliance member airlines also suggested a local cultural experience from one of their destinations, ranging from tile painting in Portugal to home cooking in Shenzhen, China, and to joining the locals in Bogota, Colombia while they turn major roads in the city into cycle paths on Sundays. The five founding carriers – Air Canada, Lufthansa, Scandinavian Airlines, THAI and United – went one step further, by challenging National Geographic’s Travel Nomad Robert Reid with their own unique cultural experiences. These were filmed and made into a brief documentary series of five short video clips that can be viewed on the Star Alliance website and - in high resolution - on the Star Alliance YouTube channel.

U.S. Hits Bombardier with New C Series Duties The Department of Commerce has proposed a 79.82 antidumping tariff on sales of Bombardier C Series jets in the U.S., the agency announced Friday. The decision comes only nine days after the department announced it would impose countervailing measures amounting to 219.63 percent on the new narrowbodies. Together, the near 300 percent duty on each airplane would effectively disqualify them from sale in the U.S., removing the biggest market from Bombardier's available pool of potential customers. The rulings come ahead of planned delivery next spring of the first of 75 Bombardier CS100s to Delta Air Lines, the U.S. launch customer for the program. The latest determination stems from a complaint filed by Boeing with the International Trade Commission in April that Bombardier sold the narrowbody jets for well below their cost of manufacture with the help of improper subsidies from the province of Quebec and the Canadian federal government. Bombardier has contested both the basis of the claims and the cost estimates provided by Boeing in its complaint, arguing the C Series competes with no Boeing product, and therefore could not have caused any harm to the U.S. company. Boeing claims Bombardier sold the airplanes for $19.6 million each, or some $13.8 million less than they cost to manufacture. In a statement, the Commerce Department said it had to calculate the value of the penalties based on so-called adverse facts available (AFA) because Bombardier failed to fully answer the department's questionnaire. It said it would continue to evaluate the accuracy of its determination based on whatever new information comes available. Bombardier insists it cannot give the Commerce Department an accurate production cost figure because it hasn't yet incurred the costs.

“As we have explained repeatedly to the department, Bombardier cannot provide the production costs for the Delta aircraft for a very simple reason; they have not yet been produced,” the company said in a statement. “Commerce’s attempt to create future costs and sales prices by looking at aircraft not imported into the United States is inappropriate and inconsistent with the agency’s past practices. This departure from past precedent and disregard of well-known industry practices is an apparent attempt to deprive U.S. airlines from enjoying the benefits of the C Series, even though Boeing abandoned the segment of the market served by the C Series more than a decade ago.” Bombardier also characterized the Commerce Department's approach as hypocritical, citing Boeing’s own program cost accounting practices of selling aircraft below production costs for years after launching a program. “This hypocrisy is appalling, and it should be deeply troubling to any importer of large, complex and highly engineered products,” said Bombardier. “Commercial aircraft programs require billions in initial investment and years to provide a return on that investment. By limiting its antidumping investigation to a short 12-month period at the very beginning of the C Series program, Commerce has taken a path that inevitably would result in a deeply distorted finding.” The ITC must determine that the subsidies to Bombardier harmed Boeing before it begins to impose any tariffs. Schedules call for the Department of Commerce to announce final determination on December 19 and the International Trade Commission to issue its final ruling on February 1. If both rule in the affirmative, tariffs would take effect on February 8.

Low-fuel 787 had to declare Mayday repeatedly to Indian ATC SOURCE: FLIGHT DASHBOARD BY: DAVID KAMINSKI-MORROW LONDON Investigators have disclosed that a diverted Air Canada Boeing 7879's crew had to declare a Mayday four times over a low-fuel situation before being given approach clearance to Hyderabad. The aircraft had originally been bound for Mumbai but was shuttled between alternate airports owing to capacity problems. Transportation Safety Board of Canada states in a bulletin that it is "in contact" with India's accident investigation authority over the 19 September incident. The aircraft (C-FGEI), which departed Toronto on 18 September, had been operating AC46 to Mumbai with 177 passengers and 14 crew members. But Mumbai air traffic controllers cancelled the approach after a runway excursion involving another aircraft. The bulletin does not specifically identify this incident, but a SpiceJet Boeing 737-800 suffered an excursion shortly before the 787's arrival. The Canadian bulletin says the 787 entered a hold for 1h but its crew then opted to divert to their alternate. It does not identify the alternate but states that air traffic control informed the crew that they could not be accommodated owing to reaching maximum capacity. The crew then chose to divert a second time to Hyderabad, after consulting with the carrier's operations centre, only to be informed by air traffic control en route that Hyderabad had already reached maximum capacity and could not handle the flight. According to the bulletin Air Canada informed investigators that air traffic control "continued trying to divert the flight or attempted to place it in another hold", adding that the crew had to declare a Mayday over the aircraft's low-fuel situation four times before being cleared for a straight-in approach to Hyderabad's runway 09L. .

Air India May Be Sold By End Of This Fiscal Year, Says Report The government has set an ambitious target of divestment worth Rs. 72,500 crore for the current fiscal New Delhi: The government may sell flagship carrier Air India this fiscal itself if it finds a suitable buyer, according to official sources. The government, they said, also expects to meet its disinvestment target as there are a number of companies in the pipeline. Various companies including GIC, New India Assurance will go for listing while strategic disinvestment of Pawan Hans and NPCIL will help meet the government its ambitious target of Rs. 72,500 crore for the current fiscal. Besides, the merger of HPCL and ONGC will also add to the kitty. Earlier in the day, a ministerial panel, headed by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, conducted a meeting to review the progress of strategic disinvestment of various state-owned companies of key ministries. The meeting was attended by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Railways Minister Piyush Goyal, Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu, Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister Ananath Kumar and Heavy Industry Minister Anant Geete. As per the Budget documents, the government had budgeted to raise Rs. 72,500 crore through disinvestment in CPSEs in 2017-18, which is higher than the Rs. 45,500 crore raised in the current fiscal as per revised estimate. Fiscal 2016-17 is the seventh year in a row when the government would not be meeting the disinvestment target fixed in the Budget. As much as Rs. 56,500 crore was budgeted to be raised through PSU disinvestment in 2016-17.
