"مصر للطٌران" :ال زٌادة فً أسعار التذاكر رغم ارتفاع أسعار الوقود عبده أبوغنٌمة قال مصدر مسإول فً شركة "مصر للطٌران" ،إن الشركة لن ترفع أسعار تذاكر الطٌران حالٌا ،موضحا أن "مصر للطٌران" تشترى الوقود المستخدَم فً تموٌن الطائرات بالسعر العالمً. وأضاف المصدر ،لـ"الوطن" ،أن تكلفة زٌادة أسعار المواد البترولٌة المستخدَمة داخل الشركة فً أغراض النقل البري ،لن تإثر بشكل كبٌر على زٌادة أسعار التذاكر. من جانبه ،قال ٌسري عبدالوهاب نائب رئٌس اتحاد النقل الجوي "تحت التأسٌس"" :أسعار تذاكر الطٌران ستشهد زٌادة طفٌفة بمقدار زٌادة األسعار المرتبطة بالنقل البري ،من نقل الركاب والبضائع والركب الطائر (أطقم الطائرة) إلى المطار".

تحذٌر أمٌركً بسحب رخص شركات طٌران قال مسإول كبٌر فً وزارة األمن الداخلً األمٌركٌة إن خطوط الطٌران التً لن تمتثل لقرار أمٌركً جدٌد بتعزٌز إجراءات األمن على متن الرحالت الجوٌة الدولٌة المتجهة إلى الوالٌات المتحدة ،قد تصبح عرضة لسحب تراخٌص تسٌٌر رحالتها الجوٌة للبالد. وأكد المسؤول أن الحكومة األمٌركٌة لن تتولى تموٌل التدابٌر األمنٌة الجدٌدة التً أعلن عنها األربعاء وزٌر األمن الداخلً جون كٌلً ،مما ٌعنً أن التكالٌف ستقع على كاهل خطوط الطٌران والمطارات والدول التً توجد بها. وأضاف أن شركات الطٌران التً ال تلتزم بقواعد وزارة األمن الداخلً الجدٌدة قد تصبح عرضة للغرامة أو الحد من السماح بدخولها للمجال الجوي األمٌركً ،بل قد تسحب السلطات األمٌركٌة رخصة تسٌٌر رحالتها الجوٌة للبالد بشكل كامل. وتهدف اإلجراءات األمنٌة الجدٌدة إلى الحٌلولة دون توسٌع نطاق حظر حمل أجهزة الكمبٌوتر المحمول وغٌرها من األجهزة اإللكترونٌة الكبٌرة فً مقصورات الطائرات. وتخشى شركات طٌران أمٌركٌة وأوروبٌة أن ٌتسبب توسٌع الحظر فً مشاكل لوجستٌة كبٌرة وٌحد من السفر. وأعلنت الوالٌات المتحدة فً مارس حظر حمل أجهزة الكمبٌوتر المحمول داخل المقصورة فً الطائرات القادمة إلٌها من عشر مطارات فً ثمانً دول ،من بٌنها مصر والسعودٌة والكوٌت وقطر وتركٌا. وقال المسؤول ،الخمٌس ،إن القرار الجدٌد المتعلق باألمن لٌس ردا على تهدٌد محدد ،لكنه ٌستند إلى نفس معلومات المخابرات التً دفعت السلطات إلى إصدار حظر األجهزة اإللكترونٌة. وتتٌح اإلجراءات الجدٌدة فرصة أمام شركات الطٌران للخروج من القائمة إذا أوفت بالمتطلبات األمنٌة الجدٌدة.

لجنة فنٌة لفحص طائرة سعودٌة بعد ارتطام جسم غرٌب بمقدمتها محمد عبدالناصر قررت سلطات مطار القاهرة الٌوم الجمعة تشكٌل لجنة فنٌة لفحص طائرة ركاب تابعة للخطوط الجوٌة السعودٌة بعد اكتشاف وجود آثار ارتطام جسم غرٌب بمقدمة الطائرة عقب هبوطها من الرٌاض وتؤخر إقالعها أكثر من 5ساعات. بعد هبوط رحلة الخطوط السعودٌة رقم 311والقادمة من الرٌاض اكتشف رجال اإلرشاد وجود آثار ارتطام جسم كبٌر فى مقدمة الطائرة وهى من طراز إٌرباص 330ولم ٌذكر قائد الطائرة سبب هذه اآلثار ،وقررت سلطات المطار تشكٌل لجنة فنٌة لفحص الطائرة والحصول على توقٌع من قائدها بعدم حدوث ذلك فى مطار القاهرة قبل السماح بإقالعها برحلة رقم 310إلى الرٌاض وعلٌها 282 راكبا.

مصر تسمح لطائرة مغربٌة بالعبور إلى قطر عبر مجالها الجوي محمد عبدالناصر سمحت سلطات الطٌران المدنى المصرٌة مساء الٌوم الجمعة ،لطائرة تابعة للخطوط الملكٌة المغربٌة بعبور أجوائها قادمة من كازابالنكا فى طرٌقها إلى الدوحة بعد تقدٌمها طلب بذلك طبقا لقرار فرض الحظر الجوى على عبور الطائرات إلى قطر. صرحت مصادر مالحٌة مصرٌة مطلعة ،أن طائرة مغربٌة دخلت المجال الجوى المصرى برحلة رقم 216وستتوجه منه إلى المجالٌن الجوٌٌن السعودى والبحرٌنى قبل هبوطها فى مطار الدوحة وذلك بعد تقدٌم الخطوط المغربٌة لطلبات للسلطات المختصة فى مصر والسعودٌة والبحرٌن على عبور أجوائها". وذلك من منطلق تأكٌد الدول الثالث إلتزامها بقوانٌن المنظمة الدولٌة للطٌران المدنى ــ اإلٌكاو ــ خالل فرض الحظر الجوى على الطائرات القطرٌة ومنعها من الهبوط بمطارات مصر أو العبور فى أجوائها وأنها ستمارس حقها فى فرض مزٌد من اإلجراءات التى من شأنها ضمان أمن وسالمة أجوائها السٌادٌة من أى تهدٌد أو مخاطر وفقا للقوانٌن واإلتفاقٌات التى تنظم حركة المالحة الجوٌة فوق أجوائها. وقالت المصادر" :جاءت هذه الموافقات ألن قرار الحظر الٌشمل شركات الطٌران والطائرات غٌر المسجلة بمصر أو دولة قطر والراغبة فى عبور أجواء مصر من وإلى دولة قطر وفٌما ٌخص عبور الطائرات والرحالت العارضة ألجواء مصر من وإلى دولة قطر فٌجب علٌها على هذه الطائرات تقدٌم طلب مسبق لإلدارة المركزٌة للنقل الجوى بسلطة الطٌران المدنى المصرى بماالٌقل عن 24ساعة لذلك تم السماح للطائرة بالعبور إلى قطر".

But then there are 6 million job openings in the U.S., and large companies in a range of industries are telling us they are running out of humans to perform labor. The reality, of course, is somewhere in between. Automation is substituting for human labor in ways large and small. The productivity engine isn’t completely broken. The volume of coal mined this year is up 17 percent, though employment in coal mining is up only two 2 percent. But American companies don’t have a shortage of people. They have a shortage of wages, benefits, and training. Companies could fix that problem, but they haven’t. Take Horizon Air, a regional airline that services the Pacific Northwest, which the Seattle Times reports is ”cutting its flight schedule this summer because of a severe shortage of pilots for its Q400 turboprop planes. The shortage became a crisis this past month when Horizon was forced to cancel more than 318 flights because it didn’t have enough pilots to fly all its planes.“ That represents 6.2 percent of the flights Horizon runs between Seattle and places like Boise, Spokane, and Portland. Think about that. Flying these routes isn’t some ancillary or side business for Horizon. It’s the only business it is in. Canceling flights is damaging to your brand and your company’s long-term prospects—it alienates and annoys customers who have already purchased tickets. And it’s damaging to your short-term profits.

It’s a unit of Alaska Air, a publicly held company that has a market capitalization of $11 billion and that chalked up $1.7 billion in revenue and $99 million in net income in its most recent quarter. It has a big balance sheet, vast resources, stock, borrowing capacity, and access to all kinds of services. A big airline intentionally grounding flights because it can’t find pilots is a great metaphor. Horizon and other companies in this situation are paying the price for a decade or more of corporate pathology surrounding wages. Labor is a commodity. It’s why we call it a labor market. When labor is in abundant supply, when lots of people with the requisite skills are looking for jobs and openings are few, you don’t have to pay as much to fill positions. That’s the world looked like from 2008 to 2012. But when labor is in short supply, when few people with the requisite skills are seeking work and there are lots of openings, you have to pay a lot more. That’s what the world has looked like for the last few years. But many businesses seem blind to the reality. They’ve become accustomed to thinking they have can have all the labor they want, with all the skills they need, without having to pay much for it or offer long-term job security or help fund the training.

Offer existing employees better long-term incentives, profit-sharing, stock, pensions, and other benefits so they’ll be less likely to leave. To recruit new employees, offer to train them yourselves, or to pay back the loans they incur while getting the training that will enable you to run your business, or offer to split the flight school tuition in exchange for a commitment to work for the airline for several years. There’s a phrase people in companies use when colleagues complain of a challenging situation. ”You’re a businessperson. Figure it out.“ Managers and leaders get paid to figure out how to solve the problems they face. Turkish Cargo commences cargo flights to Johannesburg and Madagascar Turkish Cargo has launched its scheduled cargo flights to Johannesburg, the biggest industrial and commercial center in South Africa, and Madagascar, the largest island of Vanilla Islands recently. With the majority of its exportation performed to European and American countries, South Africa exports a great variety of products right across the world. The products exported by South Africa generally consist of machinery, electrical electronic equipment, chemicals and automotive parts, and such products are mainly exported by air cargo and currently carried by passenger flights operated by Turkish Airlines. Situated at the eastern coast of the African continent, Madagascar comes to the forefront as a market which exports a wide range of goods. Mainly from Vanilla, tropical fruits and textile products are transported to European and American countries while live crabs and sea products are transported to the Far East from Madagascar. The cargo flights, to be initiated to both destinations by Turkish Cargo, will allow diversification in terms of variety of products transported.

Ethiopian inaugurates new cargo terminal in Addis Ababa Ethiopian Airlines’ state of the art Cargo Terminal-II was inaugurated by Hailemariam Desalegn, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Also in attendance were Ahmed Shide, Minister of Transport and Tewolde GebreMariam, GCEO, Ethiopian Airlines, other high level government officials and participants of the ICAO Cargo Forum. Commenting on the occasion, Hailemariam Desalegn said, ”Today, the national flag carrier has become the largest aviation Group and the fastest growing airline in Africa unrivalled in efficiency with shining operational excellence. Above all, Ethiopian Airlines has played an important and irreplaceable role in the development of the economy, export and import activities and foreign exchange earnings.“ GebreMariam also acknowledged partners who has contributed for the successful completion of the project and further stated, ”The new Cargo Terminal-II combined with our existing Terminal-I will give us a total tonnage capacity of around 1 million per annum which is the largest in the continent of Africa. This milestone will make Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services one of the world’s largest cargo terminals; comparable with cargo terminals in Amsterdam Schiphol, Singapore Changi, or Hong Kong.“

Turkish Airlines mulls equity investments Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul AtatĂźrk) is considering investing in foreign operators as a means of mitigating the impact of increasing trade protectionism across the globe. According to the Airliner Pulse magazine, airline CEO Ilker Ayci told a gathering at the 2017 Paris Air Show last week that opportunities being studied are India, China, and the United States among others. "We have grown organically so far, but politicians are increasingly struggling for protectionism," he said. "This is why we are investigating investment opportunities in other airlines with equity or as a non-equity partner. This is a longterm strategy and it is too early to say whether it becomes a reality." Among the regions where Turkish Airlines has been both officially and unofficially linked to a number of possible ventures is the Balkans. Last month, Ayci was in Tirana to discuss his carrier's participation in a planned new Albanian airline. Prior to that, the government of Macedonia has also confirmed approaching Turkish Airlines over the possibility of it starting intercontinental services out of Skopje.

Statement on DHS Enhanced Security Requirements The International Air Transport Association (IATA) welcomes the decision by the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to require enhanced security measures as an alternative to restrictions on the carriage of large portable electronic devices in the cabin on all flights to the US. This includes the ability to remove the existing restrictions on certain flights departing from the Middle East and North Africa to the US. IATA looks forward to working with our member airlines and DHS to implement this phased approach to enhanced aviation security, including ensuring that airline costs and operational impacts are minimized. ”Keeping our passengers and crew safe and secure is our top priority. This creates a natural partnership with governments, which have the primary responsibility for security. Today’s actions raise the bar on security. The aggressive implementation timeline will, however, be challenging. Meeting it will require a continued team effort of government and industry stakeholders. In particular, airlines and airports will need to be supported by host states during the phase-in of the new requirements,“ said Alexandre de Juniac, IATA’s Director General and CEO.

Montréal and Addis Ababa, 27 June 2017 – Implementation of the Lomé Declaration is a crucial lever for realizing the technological innovation, regulatory reform and investment in infrastructure demanded by Africa’s tremendously promising growth in air cargo, declared the President of the ICAO Council, Dr. Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu, in his address at the Second Meeting on Air Cargo Development in Africa today. The key objective of the Lomé Declaration is the unobstructed flow and rapid release of goods through enhanced trade facilitation and custom clearance frameworks. Pointing to the pertinence of progress on its implementation, Dr Aliu highlighted the significance of air cargo’s current and forecasted contributions to Africa’s economy. ”In Africa today, aviation supports millions of jobs and 72 billion dollars in Gross Domestic Product. The importance of air cargo as a key enabler of international trade, especially with respect to high-value and time-sensitive goods, is reflected in the fact that air transport carries around 35 per cent of world trade by value,“ he remarked, adding that growth in African freight traffic outpaced the global average last year and that freight capacity offered by African carriers in the region surged by over 20 per cent in 2016. Dr. Aliu noted that progress in support of the Declaration should be achieved through the ratification of the 1999 Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules for International Carriage by Air, to which only 56 per cent of African States have adhered, the
2 https://www.icao.int/Newsroom realisation of the ambitious ‘E-Trade for All’ initiative, which ICAO is undertaking in collaboration with other UN agencies, and the deployment of the Cargo Service Quality Index for measuring freight performance at the airport level, a project that ICAO is developing with the International Air Cargo Association. Innovation is particularly crucial as e-commerce trends will continue to be a significant driver of this growth. ”The air cargo share of items purchased online grew from 16% to 74% between 2010 and 2015, and is projected to reach 91% by 2025. The number of parcels flown by air has grown from around 130 million in 2011 to around 400 million in 2015, at a staggering 30 per cent average annual growth rate,“ Dr Aliu explained. Progress on the implementation of the Lomé Declaration furthermore requires enhanced investment in ground infrastructure, aircraft, and human resources. ”The development and modernization of reliable, quality aviation infrastructure is an important priority under the Lomé Action Plan,“ Dr. Aliu said. ”The rapid growth of both freight and passenger air traffic is now placing increased pressure on Africa’s airports and air navigation services, with latest projections telling us that no fewer than 24 airports in Africa will have reached their maximum operational capacities by just 2020,“ he remarked, noting that ICAO is facilitating States’ commitments in this area through its own World Aviation Forums and its support of the MoveAfrica initiative being led by the New Partnership for Africa’s Development Agency. He urged States and financial institutions to contribute to the ICAO/AFCAC Human Resources Development Fund, and highlighted the aircraft financing benefits of adherence to the 2001 Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment.

Organized by ICAO in cooperation with the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority, Ethiopian Airlines and the International Air Cargo Association, the Second Meeting on Air Cargo Development in Africa was opened by His Excellency Mr. Getachew Mengiste, State Minister, Ministry of Public Enterprises of Ethiopia, and was attended by 247 participants representing 21 States, 7 international organizations, and industry stakeholders from Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Europe and North America. Among the main outcomes of the meeting was the adoption of a new Statement on the Implementation of the Lomé Declaration, reaffirming commitment to the sustainable development of air cargo in Africa
