"مصر للطٌران" تقٌم حفل تعارف لوكالء السٌاحة بمسقط مسقط – محمد سعد نظم محسن رمضان مدٌر مكتب مصر للطٌران بمسقط حفل استقبال وتعارف لوكالء السٌاحة والسفر والعاملٌن بمجال الطٌران والسٌاحة فى سلطنة عمان ،وذلك من أجل تنشٌط الحركة السٌاحٌة وزٌارد التعاون السٌاحى بٌن مصر وسلطنة عمان ،بحضور صبرى مجدى صبرى سفٌر مصر لدى سلطنة عمان والعمٌد المتقاعد ولٌد بن عمر الزواوى ،وأعضاء السفارة المصرٌة ومصر للطٌران وعدد كبٌر من وكالء السٌاحة والمسؤولٌن بسلطنة عمان. وقال محسن رمضان عبدالمحسن مدٌر مكتب مصر للطٌران بمسقط ،إن هذا االحتفال من أجل توطٌد العالقات بٌن شركة مصر للطٌران ووكالء السٌاحة والعاملٌن بالمجال السٌاحى بالسلطنة وتعرٌفهم بالخدمات الجدٌدة التى تقدمها مصر للطٌران الى جانب تعرٌفهم بالوجهات السٌاحٌة المختلفة بجمهورٌة مصر العربٌة والتعرٌف بوجهات مصر للطٌران العدٌدة من خالل شبكة مصر للطٌران باالضافة الى الوجهات المتعددة التى ٌمكن الوصول الٌها من خالل شبكة تحالف "استار آالٌنس" ،وكذلك خالل المشاركة بالرمز مع شركات الطٌران األخرى. وأضاف محسن رمضان ،خالل الحفل أن مصر للطٌران ستزٌد من رحالتها بٌن مسقط والقاهرة بدءاً من آخر شهر مارس ،لتصل عدد الرحالت إلى 5رحالت أسبوعٌة بدالً من 3رحالت إلى جانب العدٌد من التخفٌضات والعروض فى المرحلة القادمة. وعن الجدٌد فى مصر للطٌران قال رمضان ،إن مصر للطٌران تسلمت الطائرة الثانٌة من أصل 9 طائرات من طراز ( بوٌنج ) 737 – 800التى تمتاز بإمكانٌاتها العالٌة وشاشة مستقلة لكل راكب. أما عن السوق العمانى فقال قدمنا منتج وخدمة جدٌدة للركاب فى حالة رغبتهم فى السفر بحقٌبة واحدة بسعر خاص الى جانب السعر المخصص للسفر بحقٌبتٌن ،وأٌضا ً األسعار المتمٌزة الجدٌدة للسفر إلى القاهرة ونقاط ما وراء القاهرة واألكثر من خمسة عشر نقطة مثل (لندن وبارٌس ، نٌوٌورك ،فرانكفورد ،مٌونخ ،برلٌن ،دار السالم ،الخرطوم و جوبا ،أدٌس أبابا ،نٌروبً ، وأسمره ،نجامٌنا ..عنتٌبى ) .على الدرجة السٌاحٌة ودرجة رجال األعمال .

وصول أولى الرحالت القطرٌة لمبنى الركاب الجدٌد بمطار القاهرة كتب محمود عبد الغنى وصلت إلى مبنى الركاب الجدٌد رقم 2بمطار القاهرة ،منذ قلٌل ،أولى رحالت الخطوط القطرٌة ،بعد انتقالها من مبنى الركاب القدٌم ،للعمل بالمبنى الجدٌد ،وذلك ضمن خطة الشركة لنقل شركات الطٌران للمبنى الجدٌد. كان فى استقبال ركاب الرحلة فور وصولهم إلى المبنى الجدٌد ،المحاسب مجدى اسحاق رئٌس مجلس إدارة شركة مٌناء القاهرة ،وقٌادات شركة مٌناء القاهرة الجوى ،حٌث حرص فرٌق من العالقات العامة برئاسة حمدي عبد العزٌز على استقبال ركاب الرحلة رقم 1303القادمة من الدوحة. بانتقال الخطوط القطرٌة للعمل بالمبنى الجدٌدٌ ،صل عدد الشركات إلى 14شركة عاملة بالمبنى الجدٌد منذ افتتاحه تجرٌبٌا.

مصرع شخص وإصابة أربعة فى حادث سقوط طائرة على منزل بكالٌفورنٌا قالت وسائل إعالم محلٌة أن شخصا قتل وأصٌب أربعة بعد سقوط طائرة صغٌرة على منطقة سكنٌة قرب مطار فى رٌفرساٌد بوالٌة كالٌفورنٌا مما تسبب فى تدمٌر منزل وإضرام النار فى عدة منازل أخرى ٌوم االثنٌن. وأظهرت لقطات بثها تلفزٌون (كٌه.إٌه.بى .سى) من الموقع رجال اإلطفاء وهم ٌغطون ما بدا أنها جثة وٌصبون الماء على المنزل فى رٌفرساٌد على بعد نحو 100كٌلومتر إلى الشرق من لوس أنجلوس. وقالت صحٌفة رٌفرساٌد برس إنتربراٌز نقال عن مسؤولٌن بأجهزة اإلطفاءإن شخصا قتل وأصٌب أربعة. وقال إٌان جرٌجور المتحدث باسم إدارة الطٌران االتحادى أن طائرة من النوع سٌسنا 310تحطمت فى ظروف غٌر معلومة على بعد نحو كٌلومتر إلى الشمال الشرقى من مطار بلدٌة رٌفرساٌد. وأضاف أنها تحطمت بعد قلٌل من إقالعها من المطار متجهة إلى شمال كالٌفورنٌا. ولم ٌتضح على الفور كم عدد من كانوا على متن الطائرة عند إقالعها .وتشٌر مواقع إلكترونٌة للطٌران إلى أن هذا النوع من الطائرات ٌمكنه أن ٌحمل ستة أشخاص.

وزٌر النقل الروسً« :أٌروفلوت» قد تكون أول شركة طٌران روسٌة تستأنف الرحالت لمصر | كتب :أمانً عبد الغنً | قال وزٌر النقل الروسً ،ماكسٌم سوكولوف ،إن شركة «أٌروفلوت» الروسٌة قد تصبح أول شركة طٌران فً روسٌا تبدأ رحالت منتظمة من موسكو إلى القاهرة ،عقب استئناف الرحالت الجوٌة بٌن البلدٌن. وأضاف «سوكولوف» فً تصرٌحات لوكالة «سبوتنٌك» الروسٌة ،اإلثنٌن ،أن خبراء أمن الطٌران الروسً ضا مطاري الغردقة وشرم الشٌخ ،خالل زٌارتهم المقبلة. قد ٌتفقدون أٌ ً ورداً على سؤال حول إمكانٌة توقٌع اتفاقٌة أمن الطٌران فً مارس المقبل ،أجاب «سوكولوف» قائالً: «مبدئٌا ،نعم». فً سٌاق متصل ،قال مسؤولون مصرٌون إن مصر اقتربت من تنفٌذ كل المتطلبات التً أوصى بها الروس لتأمٌن المطارات ،والتً اعتبرتها روسٌا شروطا ً الستئناف رحالت الطٌران بٌن موسكو والقاهرة.
ونقلت وكالة األنباء األمرٌكٌة «أسوشٌتٌدبرس» ،األحد ،على لسان المسؤولٌن أن أعمال التأمٌن مستمرة، موضحٌن أن األسبوع الجاري ٌشهد تثبٌت حوالً 16من بوابات الدخول األمنٌة ببصمات األصابع للموظفٌن فً اثنتٌن من صاالت السفر الرئٌسٌة بمطار القاهرة ،ومد سٌاج التأمٌن فً محٌط المطار. وأوضح المسؤولون ،الذٌن رفضوا الكشف عن هوٌاتهم نظراً لعدم اختصاصهم بالحدٌث لوسائل اإلعالم ،أن تلك البوابات تم تنفٌذها فً صالتً السفر رقم 1و 3بناء على طلب موسكو.

‖طٌران اإلمارات" :حقائب المسافرٌن المفقودة فً مطار دبً تباع بالمزاد العلنً قالت شركة طٌران اإلمارات إن حقائب المسافرٌن المفقودة التً ٌتم العثور علٌها فً مطار دبً ٌتم تسلٌمها للجمارك وفً حال عدم مطالبة اصحابها بها لمدة تتجاوز الـ 6أشهر تنقل للبٌع بالمزاد العلنً. وأوضحت الشركة – حسبما أورد موقع 24اإللكترونً أن إجراء بٌع الحقائب المفقودة بالمزاد العلنً ٌعتبر إجراء قانونٌا. وأضافت أن أحد التجار اشترى حوالً ألف حقٌبة مفقودة فً مزاد أجرته جمارك دبً مؤخراً ،الفتة إلى أن سعر الحقٌبة الواحدة 200درهم.

Air Zim flies 3 passengers to Joburg The Harare to Johannesburg route is a cash cow for airlines and is dominated by South African Airways, which has 21 flights per week. Other airlines on the route include British Airways (through Comair) and low cost carrier, fastjet Zimbabwe. Rainbow Airlines will debut on the route on Sunday. Munyeza told NewsDay yesterday that one of the passengers had a 9pm connecting flight, which he missed. He said State-owned enterprises are crucial in economic growth and development, provided they are efficiently run, adding that Air Zimbabwe’s role was important in driving economic growth and tourism. ―My experience and view is that it needs immediate restructuring, investment and critical strategic alliances to make it commercially viable. The current business model and structure is draining the Treasury, which is unsustainable,‖ Munyeza said. An aviation expert said yesterday that it was better to cancel the flight and put passengers in a hotel. He said there were costs, which are fixed whether the airline flies three passengers or is full. The fixed costs include fuel, insurance, maintenance, landing fees and crew. The expert warned this was a ―tell-tale sign of worse things to come‖. ―This route is a cash cow. It means passengers are shunning the airline. These guys are in trouble,‖ the expert said. Air Zimbabwe board chairperson, Chipo Dyanda said she had not heard about the incident and referred NewsDay to CEO, Ripton Muzenda. ―It’s an operational issue that I cannot answer. You ask the CEO on that,‖ she said. Muzenda’s mobile number was unavailable. The new low comes as Air Zimbabwe is undergoing a restructuring exercise to give the airline new wings. Last year, the airline appointed Muzenda as the CEO and the First Family’s Boeing 737 aircraft.

The authorities plan to close Abuja’s airport for six weeks on March 8 to repair potholes on the 35-year-old runway that have damaged planes’ landing gear. British Airways, Lufthansa, Air France and South African Airways declined the government’s suggestion to divert their flights to Kaduna, while Ethiopian Airlines says it will fly there. U.S. FAA says Kenya meets aviation standards Feb 27 The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration said Monday that Kenya now complies with international aviation safety standards and has been granted a Category 1 rating. The rating means the east African nation's civil aviation authority meets International Civil Aviation Organization standards. With the designation, Kenyan air carriers able to secure the requisite U.S. Transportation Department authority can establish service to the United States and carry the code of U.S. carriers. Aviation expert on what Africa should do to build a vibrant airline industry Adefunke Adeyemi, the regional director in charge of external relations at the International Air Transport Association (IATA), says identifying the barriers that stop women from flying is critical for avaiation business in Africa. In an exclusive in review with Business Times’ Peterson Tumwebaze, Adeyemi, rooted for more women to join the industry. She says the number of women joining the industry is still low which is contributing to the huge gap in terms of skills. You have just made a presentation where you urged airliners to employ more women, why is it important? The problem we face is that there are not enough boys to take up all the engineering, pilot and commercial jobs that we are going to need in an expanding industry. And yet we know that when women fly the industry becomes successful. Secondly, the initiative will help create more job opportunities for the unemployed youth on the continent. The jobs and opportunities created by aviation are vital for the continent and therefore women must be part of this. This will however require inclusive policies borrowing a leaf from Rwanda to encourage women to join the industry. How best can African Airlines like RwandAir become profitable and successful? Aviation is an economic driver in modern societies, because of aviation the world has become a small place. To some extent aviation in Africa is still under developed which limits the sector’s contribution to the continent’s real GDP. This therefore means that Africa must give aviation a priority to help economies thrive.

Governments must therefore create an enabling environment for aviation to thrive because when it thrives, economies thrive and that is how you can achieve real growth. Aviation is the business of freedom. In 2017, we expect some 4 billion travelers to take advantage of it globally and more than 50 million tonnes of cargo of global trade will get to the market by air in the coming year. It is a freedom that we must defend against the growing protectionist rhetoric, which is gaining popularity and geographic scope. We must clear the way for the success of the business of freedom by reminding governments of aviation’s benefits, the policies that it needs to be successful; and the importance of keeping borders open for trade and welcoming people. We must operate in an environment designed to allow airlines to fully deliver social and economic benefits by implementing a smarter regulation approach, harmonized with international standards and best practice and be proactive in removing of excessive financial and operational costs. Cost competitiveness is still a major challenge facing most airlines in Africa. What will it take to have Africa well connected? Commitment from all stake holders to open skies, but also the need and desire for Airlines to collaborate and form strong partnerships to become competitive. Very limited cooperation between African carriers is still a reality on the continent and yet if airlines collaborated it would boost competiveness of the industry. Africa needs the right policies, skills and infrastructure to make aviation business more successful. Governments must promote the value of aviation on the continent to facilitate economic growth. Airlines need to be profitable to support connectivity and with the right policies, the potential is even greater for the private sector to come forward and take the lead.

AOPA offers solutions for Trump’s Florida airport shutdowns In a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary John F. Kelly, AOPA President Mark Baker urged adopting measures to allow limited operations at the general aviation airport during temporary flight restrictions in effect for presidential visits. Baker added AOPA’s commitment to support operational relief at the airport by disseminating information about the special procedures to local pilots, FBOs, and companies based at the airport, where 250 people are employed full-time and which accounts for an annual community impact of $27 million. It has been estimated that the operators of Palm Beach County Park Airport — a Palm Beach International Airport reliever field also known as Lantana Airport — lost $30,000 as a result of one three-day weekend visit by Trump to Mar-a-Lago. Since December 2016, AOPA has made multiple requests to the FAA to create an airspace cutout from the inner core for Lantana Airport, and recently requested a meeting on the matter. During the first three TFRs associated with Trump’s visits to Mar-aLago —located just 5 nm from Lantana Airport — no cutout was authorized. AOPA has urged Florida’s two senators, Marco Rubio and Bill Nelson, and U.S. Rep. Lois Frankel to request that the TSA establish security screening capabilities and gateway operations at Palm Beach County Park Airport.

FAA Announces Aviation Safety Rating for Kenya The U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) today announced that Kenya complies with international safety standards and has been granted a Category 1 rating under the agency's International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) program. A Category 1 rating means Kenya's civil aviation authority meets International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards. With the Category 1 rating, Kenyan air carriers that are able to secure the requisite FAA and DOT authority can establish service to the United States and carry the code of U.S. carriers. The FAA had not previously assessed Kenya's civil aviation authority for compliance with ICAO standards. The Category 1 status announced today is based on a February, 2017 FAA assessment of the safety oversight provided by Kenya's Directorate General of Civil Aviation. As part of the FAA's IASA program, the agency assesses the civil aviation authorities of all countries with air carriers that have applied to fly to the United States, currently conduct operations to the United States, or participate in code sharing arrangements with U.S. partner airlines, and makes that information available to the public. The assessments determine whether or not foreign civil aviation authorities are meeting ICAO safety standards, not FAA regulations. In order to maintain a Category 1 rating, a country must adhere to the safety standards of ICAO, the United Nations' technical agency for aviation that establishes international standards and recommended practices for aircraft operations and maintenance.

Srilankan Airlines takes delivery of its first A320neo Srilankan Airlines has taken delivery of its first A320neo on lease from Air Lease Corporation (NYSE: AL), making the airline the latest operator of the type. The delivery from Airbus’ facilities in Hamburg is the first of a fleet that’ll grow to six A320neo Family. Srilankan's A320neo is configured for 150 passengers in a two-class cabin layout with 12 business class seats and 138 economy class seats. It is powered by CFM Leap1A engines. Thai Air Law Boosts Safety Regs, Opens Door to Foreign Ownership A new law covering the regulation of the aviation sector in Thailand is set to go into effect around August or September. The law, which was approved by the Thai cabinet on Febuary 21 and is now being considered by the country’s parliament, is intended to strengthen safety regulation while also allowing foreign investment in Thai aviation companies. The legislation will replace the outdated 1954 Civil Aviation Act and, significantly, it will give greater impetus to the implementation of international safety standards by the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand )CAAT(. ―It’s going to help us speed up the implementation of ICAO standards,‖ CAAT director general Dr. Chula Sukmanop told AINon Monday, explaining that the agency would have the power to directly issue ICAO-based regulations rather than having to submit each one for parliamentary approval. One of the key provisions of the new law is to establish a committee of delegates from several government departments to consider applications for air operators certificates (AOCs), rather than leaving this entirely at the discretion of the Thai transport minister. A shortage of skilled personnel has resulted in a temporary moratorium on issuing new AOCs. The new aviation law also will remove the requirement for all Thai air transport operators and service companies to be at least 51 percent owned by Thai nationals. Among other issues, this may prove to be significant in attracting foreign investment in areas such as maintenance, repair and overhaul providers. ―We can entertain majority ownership by foreigners, Kobsak Pootrakool, a vice minister in the Thai prime minister’s office told AIN. ―There will be no specification in terms of the percentage [a foreign investor] can own or how the share structure works.‖ Meanwhile, on Monday, CAAT announced that Bangkok Airways has completed re-certification to ICAOstandards through a joint program conducted with support from the UK Civil Aviation
