مصر للطٌران للخدمات األرضٌة تتعاقد مع 4شركات أجنبٌة جدٌدة كتب ــ ٌوسف مجدى: عاقدت «مصر للطٌران للخدمات األرضٌة «مع 4شركات أجنبٌة جدٌدة لتنظٌم رحالت للمطارات المحلٌة ،وفقا لرئٌس الشركة أحمد شاهٌن. وقال شاهٌن لـ (مال وأعمال ــ الشروق) إنه تم االتفاق مع شركة ألمانٌة على تشغٌل رحالت طٌران منتظمة لمطار الغردقة خالل شهر أبرٌل المقبل. وتدٌر الشركة 11محطة أرضٌة بالمطارات المحلٌة ،وتتولى نقل بضائع حقائب الركاب. وأضاف أنه تم االتفاق مع شركتٌن من اإلمارات على تشغٌل رحالت منتظمة منها شركة « «MNGللشحن الذى تخطط لتشغٌل 40رحلة طٌران منتظمة شهرٌا. وذكر أن شركة بلغارٌة تستعد لتنظٌم رحالت منتظمة أٌضا للمطارات المحلٌة مما ٌعزز من موارد الشركة التى تستهدف تحقٌق هامش ربح بسٌط خالل العام المالى الجارى. وأعلنت الشركة عن تحقٌق 500ألف جنٌه أرباح خالل 4شهور األولى من العام المالى الجارى. ولفت إلى أن الشركة تمتلك تعاقدات مع 118شركة عربٌة وأجنبٌة ولكن التعاقدات المفعلة مع 53شركة فقط تنظم رحالتها إلى المطارات المحلٌة ،بعد تجمٌد شركات لتعاقداتها بسبب قرارات حظر السفر للمطارات المحلٌة التى صدر بعد سقوط الطائرة الروسٌة نهاٌة 2015الماضى. وأكد أن الشركة تمكنت من ترشٌد النفقات عبر االعتماد على تصنٌع معداتها بداخل المصنع المعدنى ،مما قلل من عملٌات االستٌراد الخارجٌة. ولفت إلى أنه تم االتفاق مع شركات الطٌران على تصنٌع معداتهم بداخل مصانع الخدمات األرضٌة مما عزز من موارد الشركة. وذكر أنه تم االتفاق مع شركات الطٌران على تقلٌل التخفٌضات التى تحصل علٌها من الشركة بهدف زٌادة مواردها.

إلغاء إقالع 5رحالت طٌران دولٌة بمطار القاهرة لعدم جدواها اقتصادٌا كتب محمود عبد الغنى تلقت سلطات مطار القاهرة الدولى ،الٌوم االثنٌن 5 ،إخطارات من شركات الطٌران ،بإلغاء إقالع 5رحالت طٌران دولٌة ،لعدم جدواها اقتصادٌا لقلة الركاب. وأعلنت مصادر مالحٌة بمطار القاهرة ،أن شركة النٌل للطٌران أرسلت 3إخطارات بإلغاء رحلتها 103و 113المتجهة إلى ٌنبع ،و 183المتجهة إلى الجوفة ،لعدم جدواها اقتصادٌا لقلة الركاب. وأضافت المصادر ،أن سلطات المطار تلقت إخطارا من الخطوط السودانٌة ،بإلغاء رحلتها 103المتجهة إلى الخرطوم ،كما تلقت إخطارا من شركة اٌر كاٌرو بإلغاء رحلتها 441 المتجهة إلى ٌنبع لقلة الركاب. وتابعت المصادر ،أنه تم التنسٌق بٌن سلطات المطار وشركات الطٌران لسفر الركاب على متن رحالت طٌران دولٌة أخرى.

أسرار األسبوع :طٌران البرتغال تطبق خطة إلعادة الهٌكلة والتنظٌم أعلنت الخطوط الجوٌة البرتغالٌة تاب أنها ستمضً قدما فً تنفٌذ خطة إعادة الهٌكلة والتنظٌم، التً تتضمن نقل بعض الوظائف إلى البرتغال من العدٌد من فروعها بالخارج ،كما ستوفر 200 وظٌفة جدٌدة. وقال فٌرناندو بنتو الرئٌس التنفٌذي للناقل الوطنً البرتغالً إن الشركة استثمرت الكثٌر على مدار العام الماضً لتجدٌد خدماتها ومنتجاتها ولذا شهدت زٌادة % 26فً أعداد الركاب فً األشهر الثالثة الماضٌة.

Egypt finalizes a $150 million loan guarantee with Britain Egypt on Saturday finalized a $150 million loan guarantee from Britain following a visit from British foreign minister, Boris Johnson. According to a statement from Britain’s foreign Office, Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and the British foreign minister held discussions focusing on Britain’s support for Egypt’s economy including, joint work on aviation security, anti-terrorism efforts and work to resolve regional conflicts in Libya and Syria. The two leaders also discussed human rights issues and the benefits of a free society in promoting stability and economic growth. However, Egyptian officials expressed frustration over Britain’s refusal to lift a suspension of flights from the UK to the Red Sea resort of Sharm al-Sheikh, which was imposed following the bombing of a Russian airliner by Islamic State militants in 2015, killing all 224 people on board. The officials in a statement said, ”the fight suspension was hitting Egypt’s economy hard and was inconsistent with Britain’s repeated promises to support the country.“ The north African country is battling with an economic reform programme that has triggered massive inflation. It is estimated that investments by British companies in Egypt reached $30 billion in 2016

Saudia Cargo hosts ‘Flowers & Perishables’ Air Shippers Forum at Air Cargo Africa 2017 Feb 27, 2017: The fourth edition of Air Cargo Africa 2017 ended on a high note. The second shippers’ forum for Flower & Perishables was hosted by Saudia Cargo. The panelists were Conrad Archer, country MD of Panalpina Airflo Kenya; Jane Ngige CEO of Kenya Flower Council; David Beecham, senior manager cargo products of Qatar Airways Cargo, Dirk Hanekom CEO of Agri All Africa, Stanley Winterbach, MD, Agri All Africa Nigeria and moderated by Joseph Notter VP Operations of Saudia Cargo. The forum was attended by over 90 delegates from the shippers and forwarders community where the focus was on flowers, fruits and vegetables – key export commodities from the African continent, the transportation of which demands specific expertise. The panelists also discussed perishables shippers require logistics partners that can ensure access to capacity, cool facilities in as many steps of transport as feasible and affordable, and the ability to move goods swiftly and on time. Another growing demand is for end-to-end service. This session put shippers at the heart of the discussion and they voiced their views related to perishables transportation. The forum also discussed how the air freight community and the different stakeholders understand how they can improve the perishables supply chain thus assuring shippers the integrity of their shipments.

Kenya finally has clearance to start direct flights to the US In July 2015, former US president Barack Obama dangled the prospect of direct flights between Kenya and the US. Speaking in Kenya, Obama said American and Kenyan officials had met and that ”real progress has been made.“ Finally, this week Kenya’s transport ministry said that the country’s airlines have been given security and safety clearance by US authorities. The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) has been trying for years to pass US aviation audits so that its international airport, Jomo Kenyatta International, can host direct flights between the two countries, helping tourism, trade, and travel for the growing Kenyan diaspora in North America. After more than a year of infrastructure improvements, the airport has now been deemed category 1 in security and safety, according to the US Federal Aviation Administration’s International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) program. Kenyan transport minister James Macharia said that officials were now applying for codeshare agreements with US airlines and approval to begin direct flights. This adds Kenya to the short list of just five sub-Saharan African countries that meet the IASA requirements and can fly directly to the US: South Africa, Ethiopia, Cabo Verde, Ghana, and Nigeria. African immigrants in the US, now over 2 million, should give the country’s struggling national carrier, Kenya Airways, a boost in traffic.

Aviation experts brainstorm on how airlines can keep afloat, in business For two days, last week, Kigali hosted a continental aviation forum that brought together over 500 delegates from over 50 institutions and firms with multiple conversations about the industry’s growth on the continent. As participants noted the growth potential of the industry on the continent, most had concerns of multiple bottlenecks that need to be addressed. The gathering came at a time when national carrier RwandAir is working on an expansion drive that has seen the airline acquire new fleet and enter new markets. With most countries registering economic growth in recent years and consequently expanding their middle classes, experts say that presents chances for airlines growth due to an increase in disposable incomes. For the airlines to grow, however, African countries ought to liberalise and deregulate their airspace to make it more attractive for operators within the continent. At the moment, only about 17 countries have opened up their skies, which limits the expansion of regional carriers across the continent, the experts noted. Dr Elijah Chingosho, the secretary general of African Airlines Association, said liberalisation of airspaces will see African airlines serve more destinations as they will not be hindered by national barriers. A number of countries prefer to open up their skies to non-African countries as opposed to African countries which has seen the African aviation market taken up by European and Asian players. For example, Turkish Airlines serves 51 African destinations, which is far beyond any African airline. This hesitance to open up airspace, Chingosho said, saw African airlines report a loss of about $800 million against a global profit of $35.6 billion. ”If we open up our airspaces, African airlines will be able to serve more destinations, increase competition against the international airlines. We will no longer see cases where one has to travel outside the continent to connect to another African country as is the case now,“ he said.
