ضبط سائق تاكسً اعتاد النصب على الموطنٌن بزعم توظٌفهم فً "مصر للطٌران"

تمكنت األجهزة األمنٌة بالقاهرة من القبض على سائق تاكسً اعتاد النصب على الموطنٌن بزعم توظٌفهم فً شركة مصر للطٌران. تبلغ لضباط مباحث قسم شرطة مصر الجدٌدة من األمن اإلداري بمستشفى مصر للطٌران بتردد أحد األشخاص على المستشفى منتحالً صفة موظف بمٌناء القاهرة الجوي وبصحبته آخر لتوقٌع الكشف الطبً وإجراء تحلٌل المواد المخدرة على األخٌر وارتٌابهم فً أمره. انتقل المالزم أول أحمد إبراهٌم الطوٌل ـ الضابط بوحدة مباحث القسم وبصحبته القوة المرافقة وتمكن من ضبطه حال تواجده داخل المستشفى المشار إلٌها وتبٌن أنه ٌدعى علً علً عبد العزٌز شحاتة ٣8 ،سنة ،سائق تاكسً ومقٌم شارع فاٌز رضوان دائرة قسم شرطة الزاوٌة الحمراء ،وبصحبته المدعو حازم إبراهٌم غرٌب أحمد ٣٢ ،سنة ،نجار مسلح ومقٌم بهتٌم ـ شبرا الخٌمة ثانً بالقلٌوبٌة. بمناقشة األول عن سبب تواجده بالمستشفى اعترف بقٌامه بالنصب على المواطنٌن واالستٌالء منهم علً مبالغ مالٌة عقب إٌهامهم بعمله كمدٌر عالقات خارجٌة بصالة ٣بمٌناء القاهرة الجوي وقدرته على توفٌر فرص عمل لهم بشركة مصر للطٌران ،وقٌامه باصطحاب األخٌر للمستشفى لتوقٌع الكشف الطبً علٌه وإجراء تحلٌل المواد المخدرة عقب استٌالئه منه على مبلغ مالً ٤٣ألف جنٌه بدعوى تعٌٌنه بشركة مصر للطٌران. بتطوٌر مناقشته للربط بٌنه وبٌن الحوادث المجهولة اعترف بإرتكاب حادثٌن بذات األسلوب وذلك علً النحو التالً: االستٌالء على مبلغ مالى ١٣0ألف جنٌه من المواطن حمدي السٌد محمد أحمد سن ٣9 مٌكانٌكً معدات ومقٌم حً النصر ـ كفر صقر /الشرقٌة االستٌالء على مبلغ مالى 9٣ألف جنٌه من المواطن أحمد محمد مصطفً هالل سن ٢8بدون عمل ومقٌم كفر صقر /الشرقٌة تم بإرشاده بمسكنه ضبط ١١قرار تعٌٌن بشركة مصر للطٌران بأسماء المجنً علٌهم وأخرٌن ،وجهاز السلكً خاص بشركة الماك للمقاوالت ،ومبلغ مالً ١٤ألف جنٌه. وأضاف بإنفاقه باقً المبالغ المالٌة المستولً علٌها علً متطلباته الشخصٌة باستدعاء المجنً علٌهما تعرفا على المتهم واتهماه بالنصب. تحرر عن ذلك المحضر الالزم ،وتولت النٌابة العامة التحقٌق.

Emirates denies plans to buy a stake in South African Airways UAE-based carrier also clarifies it does not intend to invest in any other airline Dubai: Emirates said on Monday it has “no plans” to invest in South African Airways (SAA), following media reports about talks between the two carriers. “We are committed to the South African market and have enjoyed close cooperation with South African Airways since 1997, and we are working closely to further enhance our code-share,” an Emirates spokesperson told Gulf News via email. “However, we have no plans to invest to take any equity share in South African Airways or any other airline.” SAA is one of the UAE carrier’s more than 20 codeshare partners. The tie-up allow flyers to earn and redeem Emirates miles on flights with SAA, which operates the largest route network in Africa and serves over 1,200 destinations and 180 countries worldwide. Emirates' comments come after discussions were being facilitated by the UAE’s embassy in Pretoria, Bloomberg had reported, quoting City Press, a newspaper based in Johannesburg. Media reports said the talks have been going on for some months, but a source at Emirates told Gulf News there were no talks in the first place. Etihad Airways refused to comment on the issue, with a spokesperson saying the airline “does not comment on rumours or speculations.” The reports come as South African Airways grapples with financial issues, with its chief executive officer repeatedly saying that an investor could be the answer to the challenges, Bloomberg reported on Sunday. The airline has not made any profits since 2011, and was bailed out by the government last year to avoid defaulting on its debt, according to Bloomberg.

Implementation of more safety measures by Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) will see the score improve significantly, Mr Macharia added. Some of the safety audits conducted by ICAO include inspection of Kenya Airways and other domestic airlines as well as aviation facilities in the country. Others include audit on personnel training and operation, licensing and surveillance of air operators. According to the KCAA, this audit was tougher than the one conducted by FAA given the parameters of issues involved. “On this audit, a total of 990 protocol questions were asked compared with 330 that were examined during the FAA audit,” said KCAA director-general Gilbert Kibe, adding that the score makes Kenya number three in the continent after Togo and South Africa. Kenya has been implementing a raft of recommendations by the US government to enhance security, among them separation of passenger arrival and departure terminals, clearing the flight path and fencing off the airport, a move that saw the country awarded Category 1 status last year.

South African Airways held talks with global carriers including Emirates about strengthening commercial relationships and taking on excess its cabin crew, though stopped short of asking for cash investments. The loss-making state airline has been on a roadshow to meet code share and other potential partners to discuss ways they could assist with its revival effort, SAA said in an emailed statement Monday. SAA commented after Johannesburg-based newspaper City Press reported both Emirates and Etihad were in talks with SAA about a partnership, citing the UAE’s ambassador to South Africa. SAA is in the throes of a financial crisis that has led CEO Vuyani Jarana to call for an aviation-industry investor to help it return to profit and avoid further government bailouts. Gulf airlines have been mooted as candidates, given their routes linking major African cities with Middle Eastern hubs and other Asian and European destinations. Etihad isn’t on that list, and any move by the Abu Dhabi-based airline to invest in SAA would reverse its policy to scale back a past strategy of sealing alliances through equity investments. Etihad CEO Tony Douglas is reigning in the carrier’s reach by cutting jobs, routes and working to freeze plane orders. SAA and Etihad briefly had a code-sharing agreement, but it was scrapped when the South African carrier ended direct flights in 2016 between its home base in Johannesburg and Abu Dhabi. Nigeria is competing with SAA for attention from Gulf carriers after announcing a new national airline at the Farnborough Air Show last week. Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika tweeted a picture of himself with Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al-Baker, referring to airline boss as a potential partner or investor.

The company is in talks to finalize the Memorandum of Understanding (Mou) with the Chinese envoy to give them the green lights to begin operations in the Asian country. The plan will strengthen the bilateral ties between the two parties, opening further business opportunities to develop their economies. RwandAir's performance has been overshadowed by Ethiopian Airlines Enterprise and Kenya Airways, with the revival of Uganda Airlines and tenacious competition from Air Tanzania seeming to edge the company off the skies. It has, however, been one of the outstanding airlines regionally, recording great records in its operations. RwandAir is looking to bridge the gap between Africa and China with latest updates showing increased interactions between them. Their presence would facilitate the trade sector and open opportunities to other sectors including tourism. As they look to earn the country more revenue with more long-haul routes, the tourism sector has indicted its preparedness to new challenges to expand its territory. Guangzhou is one of the busiest places in China, and with RwandAir's operations in the region, it possesses a great potential for the East African airline to serve the vast market of China with its services. It could pave way for investments from Rwanda and vice versa. Having opened cross-continental routes to Mumbai, India that occurred in 2017, Brussels, Belgium and now locking Guangzhou, China, the company is believed to be looking in the direction of New York, US. 1 https://www.straitstimes.com Ryanair cancels 600 flights affecting 100,000 passengers on planned strikes by cabin crew MADRID (AFP) - With the busy summer season in full swing, Ryanair's cabin crew are all set to go on strike Wednesday (July 25) and Thursday (July 26) in Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Italy, forcing the airline to cancel 600 flights. Five unions are behind a stoppage affecting 100,000 passengers, forcing the no-frills airline either to reimburse their trips or offer them alternative flights. According to the company, "90 per cent of affected passengers have been transferred" to another flight. Spain, the world's second tourist destination after France, is the worst affected country. The airline predicts the strike could affect "up to 200 of over 830 daily Ryanair flights" to and from there. In Portugal and Belgium, Ryanair says the stoppage will affect up to 50 daily flights. In Italy, unions have also called for a stoppage but the airline says its flights schedule there will not be affected. Founded 33 years ago in Dublin, the Irish low-cost carrier has grown quickly and boasts lower costs per passenger than its competitors. But employees have long slammed their working conditions and the airline has been hit by several strikes this year. For Ryanair's chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs, these "are entirely unjustified." "Ryanair cabin crew enjoy great pay - up to 40,000 euros (S$63,600) per annum (in countries with high youth unemployment) - industry leading rosters (14 days off each month), great sales commissions, uniform allowances and sick pay," he said in a statement.

"The large majority of cabin crew don't have a base salary, which means if you don't fly, you don't get paid," he added. UNEQUAL PAY Unions want the airline to give contractors the same work conditions as its own employees. "On board the same plane, for instance a Madrid to Charleroi flight, you will find four cabin crew members doing the same job but none will be earning the same," Escobar said. One will be employed directly by Ryanair and the others by temporary work agencies, he added. Unions are also asking that Ryanair staff be employed according to the national legislation of the country they operate in, rather than that of Ireland as is currently the case. Earlier this month, a Dutch appeals court ruled Ryanair employees based in the Netherlands must be covered by Dutch law. Ryanair argues that since its planes fly under the Irish flag and most of its employees work on board planes, its staff are covered by Irish law. The Spanish government has called for Ryanair to provide a minimum service during the strike, as it is "the company that transports the most passengers in the Spanish market." It wants Ryanair to guarantee "100 per cent of flights" from mainland Spain to the Balearic or Canary Islands, as well as 59 per cent of international flights. It is unclear whether that will happen.
