http://www.skynewsarabia.com مستقبل الطٌران ..ترفٌه ٌتجاوز حدود الخٌال باتت شاشات أنظمة الترفٌه الموجودة عادة خلف مقعد الطائرة جزءا من تجربة المسافر جوا ،لكنها ستختفً تدرٌجٌا بحسب الخبراء لٌتم استبدالها بتقنٌات مختلفة من بٌنها نقل بٌانات المواد الترفٌهٌة مباشرة إلى أجهزة الركاب المحمولة عن طرٌق االتصال الالسلكً (WiFi). ومن المتوقع أال ٌحدث ذلك قرٌبا ،إال أن مراقبٌن ٌرون أن التغٌٌر قادم ال محالة ،وفٌما ٌلً بعض من هذه التقنٌات: تدفق البٌانات إلى جهاز الراكب بالنسبة لشركات الطٌران فإن إزالة شاشات العرض سوف تقلص نفقات صٌانة أجهزة الترفٌه هذه وتطوٌرها ،ما ٌعنً انخفاضا فً وزن الطائرة ،كما سٌتٌح ذلك تقلٌل حجم المقاعد وبالتالً زٌادة عدد المسافرٌن على متن الرحالت. إزالة الشاشات من خلف مقاعد الطائرات خاصة على الرحالت القصٌرة ،بات ٌتماشى مع مٌول المسافر فً الفترة األخٌرة ،الذي ٌفضل استخدام الكمبٌوتر اللوحً الخاص به ،أو هاتفه الذكً خالل الرحلة عند توفر خدمة اإلنترنت. ومع وجود اتصال دائم بشبكة اإلنترنت على األرض ،تعد الخطوة المقبلة توفٌر الخدمة للجمٌع وبشكل مجانً أثناء رحالت الطٌران ،وهو ما تقوم به بعض الشركات العالمٌة حالٌا. ومن المتوقع أن توفر شركات الطٌران فً المستقبل شاحن األجهزة اللوحٌة والهواتف الذكٌة بشكل السلكً ،أو عن طرٌق استخدام منضدة الطعام كشاحن لبطارٌة تلك األجهزة. الواقع االفتراضً قامت شركة "كانتاس" للطٌران بالتعاون مع سامسونغ بإطالق تجربة الواقع االفتراضً لمسافري الدرجة األولى ،حٌث ٌشاهد المسافر عن طرٌق قناع الوجه آخر األفالم ،باإلضافة إلى مواد تروٌجٌة لوجهات الشركة. التواصل االجتماعً منصات رقمٌة جٌدة ستمكن المسافر من التواصل مع ركاب الطائرة عبر تطبٌقات مثل بالنلً ( )Planely حٌث سٌمكن للركاب التواصل مع بعضهم البعض بطرٌقة ذكٌة عبر الهواتف أو الحواسب اللوحٌة خالل الرحلة. وما على المسافر سوى تقدٌم رقم الرحلة للتطبٌق الذكً الذي ٌقوم بتحدٌد اهتمامات المسافرٌن واقتراح األشخاص وأرقام المقاعد التً تناسبه للتفاعل مع اآلخرٌن بطرق عدة. كما ٌقترح التطبٌق المسافرٌن الذٌن ٌمكنك مشاركتهم فً سٌارة أجرة بالمطار. من جانبها تختبر شركة KLMالهولندٌة ما تسمٌه "الجلوس بحسب االهتمامات االجتماعٌة" ،التً تتٌح للمسافر اختٌار جلٌسه باالعتماد على السٌرة الذاتٌة وموجز حٌاة الشخص فً مواقع التواصل االجتماعً. وتعمل شركات الطٌران على توفٌر بٌئة مرٌحة للراكب قدر اإلمكان ،فباإلضافة للتقدم فً مجال الترفٌه فإن المواد المركبة التً تصنع منها الطائرات الحدٌثة تساعد أٌضا فً التقلٌل من وزن الطائرة ما ٌساهم فً خفض الضجٌج واالهتزاز داخلها.

قامت سلطة طٌران مصر المدتى باصدار ترخٌص لمطار اسوان ،وقام المهندس هانً العدوي رئٌس السلطة بتسلٌم المهندس محمد سعٌد رئٌس القابضة للمطارات والمالحة الجوٌة شهادة ترخٌص مطار اسوان الدولى الول مرة منذ انشائه . باالضافة لتجدٌد ترخٌص كالً من مطاري القاهرة وشرم الشٌخ الدولٌٌن. وبذلك ترتفع نسبة المطارات الدولٌة المرخصة بجمهورٌة مصر إلى خمس مطارات دولٌة. طبقا ً للمعاٌٌر الدولٌة الصادرة من المنظمة الدولٌة للطٌران(اإلٌكاو). واضاف المهندس هانً العدوي ان وزٌر الطٌران وجه بسرعة ترخٌص باقى المطارات ً الدولٌة بالتنسٌق مع سلطة الطٌران المدنً و المصرٌة للمطارات . وفقا ً للخطة اإلقلٌمٌة الموضوعة من قبل المنظمة الدولٌة للطٌران المدنً (اإلٌكاو) فى هذا الشأن. حٌث أن عدد المطارات الدولٌة مصر سبعة مطارات تم ترخٌص خمسة منها ومن المقرر اإلنتهاء من الباقى بنهاٌة .2018 وتعد ترخٌص المطارات الدولٌة خطوة أساسٌة نحو التنمٌة واالستثمار وتعود بالمنفعة على اإلقتصاد القومى . كما ٌساهم الترخٌص الدولً فً زٌادة الثقة فى التعامل مع المطارات المصرٌة ،مما ٌزٌد من الحركة الجوٌة السٌاحٌة

http://almasalla.travel الطٌران المدنً السعودى :مطارات المملكة تستقبل رحالت الحج ٌ 24ولٌو القادم أعلنت الهٌئة العامة للطٌران المدنً عن بدء استقبال مطاراتها رحالت الحج القادمٌن عن طرٌق الجو لعام 1438هـ – 2017م ،ابتدا ًء من األول من ذو القعدة القادم الموافق ٌ 24ولٌو 2017م ،على أن تستمر الرحالت الجوٌة لقدوم حجاج بٌت هللا الحرام حتى الرابع من ذو الحجة القادم الموافق 26أغسطس 2017م. وفً هذا اإلطار نظمت الهٌئة العامة للطٌران المدنً ورشة عمل بعنوان ‖تحسٌن وتطوٌر نقل الحجاج عن طرٌق الجو― . جهات حكومٌة وخاصة شارك فٌها العدٌد من ممثلً الجهات الحكومٌة والخاصة ٌتقدمها إمارة منطقة مكة المكرمة ،وإمارة منطقة المدٌنة المنورة ،ووزارة الحج والعمرة ،وهٌئة تطوٌر منطقة مكة المكرمة ،والمدٌرٌة العامة للجوازات، ومطار األمٌر محمد بن عبدالعزٌز الدولً بالمدٌنة المنورة ،ومطار الملك عبدالعزٌز الدولً بجدة ،والخطوط الجوٌة العربٌة السعودٌة ،والشركة السعودٌة للخدمات األرضٌة ،باإلضافة لممثلٌن من جمٌع شركات الطٌران المشغلة فً المملكة. وتطرقت ورشة العمل إلى عدة محاور من بٌنها طلبات الخانات الزمنٌة عبر شركة ( )ACAاالسترالٌة المختصة بتنسٌق الخانات الزمنٌة فً المطارات ،ومناقشتها عن مالحظات المطارات والشركات المشغلة للمطارات ومقدمً الخدمات األرضٌة ،باإلضافة إلى مالحظات الناقالت الوطنٌة. حٌث تسعى الهٌئة إلى تطبٌق المتطلبات والضوابط الفنٌة بمعاٌٌر سالمة الطٌران على جمٌع الناقالت الجوٌة المشاركة فً نقل الحجاج عن طرٌق الجو ،وتعمل على التفتٌش للناقالت الجوٌة واجتٌازها لجمٌع عملٌات التدقٌق بالكامل ،الستمرار سجلها الخالً من حوادث الطٌران أثناء نقل الحجاج على مدى العشرٌن عاما ً الماضٌة. وتسعى الهٌئة للمشاركة الفعالة فً تحقٌق أهداف برنامج التحول الوطنً 2020حٌث سٌصل عدد الحجاج إلى 2,5ملٌون حاج ،وكذلك إلى تحقٌق أهداف رؤٌة المملكة 2030التً سٌصل فٌها عدد الحجاج إلى 4 مالٌٌن حاج. وهذه األرقام الطموحة تتطلب االستعداد والتجهٌز لدى جمٌع القطاعات واإلدارات بالمتطلبات الفنٌة والبنى التحتٌة للمطارات والموارد البشرٌة المدربة والمؤهلة الستقبال هذه األعداد وتودٌعها ،باإلضافة إلى أعداد المعتمرٌن المتزاٌدة كل عام ،حٌث ٌتوقع أن تصل فً عام 2030إلى 30ملٌون معتمر ،مما ٌعنً أن الموسم سٌصبح على مدار العام. وكانت الهٌئة قد استقبلت طلبات تشغٌل لنقل الحجاج عن طرٌق الجو خالل العام الماضً 2016م من 61 شركة نقل جوي على مستوى العالم تم التصرٌح لـ 58ناقلة منها بعد أن تم فحص جمٌع األوراق المستندات المطلوبة الخاصة بتلك الشركات التً نقلت 1.246.660حاجاً ،قدموا ألداء الفرٌضة عن طرٌق الجو من 169دولة. الجدٌر بالذكر أن مطار الملك عبدالعزٌز الدولً بجدة حصد أعلى حصة من استقبال الحجاج القادمٌن عن طرٌق الجو خالل العام الماضً 2016م بإجمالً بلغ 694171حاجا ،بٌنما وصل عدد الحجاج القادمٌن عبر مطار األمٌر محمد بن عبدالعزٌز الدولً بالمدٌنة المنورة خالل العام الماضً إلى 551170حاجا.

Saudia Airlines recorded growth in its operations and an increase in number of passengers and flights throughout 2016 compared to 2015, whereby, the airlines transported 30,104,254 passengers on domestic and international flights with 2 million passengers increase over 2015 with a growth rate of 7.13%. 16,734,627 passengers were transported on domestic flights to 27 destinations while the rest were transported on international flights to 57 destinations around the world. /www.atn.aero Second Lufthansa A350-900 has landed in Munich Today Lufthansa welcomed its second A350-900 to Munich. Flight LH 9921 from Toulouse landed at around 11:00 at Munich Airport. There was also a special welcome from the airport's fire service who received the new Airbus with a ceremonial fountain of water. Captain Georg Obermaier carried out the transfer flight from the Airbus works in Toulouse and is full of enthusiasm for the newest member of the fleet: "The A350-900 is rightly cited as the world's most advanced long-haul aircraft. It is unbelievably quiet and very efficient in its fuel consumption". The crew are to complete their first training flights in the course of the afternoon. At 13:10 the second A350-900 will take off from the northern runway at Munich Airport and will fly to Leipzig (arrival at 14:00). After a short interim stop, the A350-900 will continue on to Cologne, where it will land for the first time at around 15:00. The return flight back to Munich is scheduled for 15:10 (landing at 16:00). In February the first of ten aircraft arrived in Munich to be stationed there. The aircraft has capacity to carry 293 passengers - 48 passengers in Business Class, 21 in Premium Economy Class and 224 in Economy Class. The A350-900 is currently the world's most advanced and most environmentally-friendly long-haul aircraft. It uses 25 percent less kerosene, produces 25 percent fewer emissions and is significantly quieter on take-off than comparable types of aircraft.

EASA releases preliminary safety review – 2017 The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has released its preliminary review for aviation statistics for 2016 in the domain of Commercial Air Transport (CAT) planes, covering worldwide operations and those which involve the 32 EASA Member States. In summary, there was one fatal incident involving any EASA State Member in 2016 where, in January, a Bombardier CRJ-200 cargo plane crashed in Sweden killing the two flight crew. The number of accidents totaled 16 and the number of serious incidents reached the 100 mark, giving a decrease of 43% for accidents and a rise of 38% for serious incidents compared to 2015 figures. Worldwide fatalities and fatal accidents in the CAT sector for aeroplanes above 5,700kg totaled eight and 255 respectively. Security-related occurrences, such as the Russian A320 of Metrojet that exploded over the Sinai Peninsula (Egypt), the A321 Daala Airlines in Mogadishu and the MH17 was shot down over Ukraine, were not included within the review. The Germanwings accident, the A320 Egypt Air over the Mediterranean Sea (terrorist action not yet confirmed) and the missing MH370 aircraft were still included. This was the lowest number of recorded fatal accidents in a year and the second-lowest number of fatalities.

Of the eight fatal accidents in 2016, two were cargo flights and six were passenger flights. Three accidents occurred during the en-route flight phase (CRJ-200 operated by West Atlantic, A320 of Egypt Air in the Mediterranean Sea and ATR42 of PIA in Pakistan), three during approach or landing (B737-800 of Fly Dubai in Rostov, B777-300 of Emirates in Dubai and the Avro146 in Colombia), one during push-back phase (A321 in Brazil), and one during take-off (B727 in Colombia). In terms of the accident rate of EASA Member Stateoperated CAT aeroplanes, this has decreased over the 2012-2015 period to approximately 3 accidents per 1 million flights. In contrast, the rate of serious incidents increased from nine per million flights in 2015 to almost 16 in 2016. According to the report, the most relevant key risk areas continue to be Aircraft Upset, Runway Excursion and Aircraft System Failure, together with their associated safety issues: flight crew awareness, monitoring of aircraft parameters, handling of technical failures and CRM (factors present also in the crash of the Bombardier CRJ-200 in Sweden.)

The company expanded its EASA Part 145 certificate on February 22, 2017. The expanded EASA Part 145 approval allows FL Technics to conduct a wider range of maintenance works on Airbus A330, powered with Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines. Airbus A330 base maintenance services will be provided at FL Technics‘ MRO center at Kaunas International Airport, Lithuania. Previously in 2016, FL Technics introduced Continuous Airworthiness Management support for Airbus A330 operators.

Kenya finally has clearance to start direct flights to the US In July 2015, former US president Barack Obama dangled the prospect of direct flights between Kenya and the US. Speaking in Kenya, Obama said American and Kenyan officials had met and that ―real progress has been made.‖ Finally, this week Kenya‘s transport ministry said that the country‘s airlines have been given security and safety clearance by US authorities. The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) has been trying for years to pass US aviation audits so that its international airport, Jomo Kenyatta International, can host direct flights between the two countries, helping tourism, trade, and travel for the growing Kenyan diaspora in North America. After more than a year of infrastructure improvements, the airport has now been deemed category 1 in security and safety, according to the US Federal Aviation Administration‘s International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) program. Kenyan transport minister James Macharia said that officials were now applying for codeshare agreements with US airlines and approval to begin direct flights. This adds Kenya to the short list of just five sub-Saharan African countries that meet the IASA requirements and can fly directly to the US: South Africa, Ethiopia, Cabo Verde, Ghana, and Nigeria. African immigrants in the US, now over 2 million, should give the country‘s struggling national carrier, Kenya Airways, a boost in traffic.

Last week, a plane hit a deer on the runway and on Friday, a plane hit a flock of birds just after takeoff. A passenger tells NBC Charlotte that a Delta plane heading for Atlanta took off around 9:20 a.m. and struck a flock of birds, which forced an emergency landing back to Charlotte-Douglas Airport. The FAA says the number of reported collisions between aircraft and wildlife is on the rise in the U.S. In 2012, 10,917 collisions were reported. In 2015, that number was up to 13,162. Just last week, a plane hit a deer on a runway at Charlotte Douglas. "I can understand birds happening," said traveler Julie Millar. "Deer? We need to check into that. We need to do something about our fencing." Charlotte has a Wildlife Management Program to keep the runways clear. Mecklenburg County's Natural Resources Director Chris Matthews says he thinks today's incident was just an unfortunate accident. The FAA and USDA believe the rise of collisions between aircraft and animals could be due to more people flying, planes becoming quieter and larger flocks of birds. "Anyone would be glad to not be on a plane that gets whacked by birds or deer," said traveler Ron Millar. "But at the same time, it does happen." The passengers on that Delta flight took off after 2 p.m. Friday afternoon on a new plane.

More than 70% of airlines bookings made through the Amadeus system in 2016 worldwide were with airlines that have content agreements with Amadeus. Last year, Amadeus signed new contracts or renewals of existing content agreements with 46 carriers, including Emirates, LATAM Airlines Group S.A., Air Cairo and Etihad Airways. Airlines‘ confidence in GDS distribution through Amadeus has continued in 2017. In January, Amadeus and Thomas Cook Group announced the extension of their global distribution contract until 2021. The agreement will also allow Thomas Cook to use Amadeus Instant Search, an innovative solution which delivers online search results in milliseconds with no compromise on accuracy. Growth was also consistent in the Low Cost Carrier (LCC) segment during 2016. Subscribers to Amadeus‘ inventory data can now access content from more than 90 low cost and hybrid carriers worldwide, among them the Chinese low cost airline Spring Airlines. In 2016, bookings of this segment grew 15% compared to the previous year. Among the LCC‘s that signed or renewed their content agreements with Amadeus last year was easyJet. This renewed long-term partnership will allow Amadeus‘ subscribers continued access to easyJet‘s range of fares. Corporate travellers will also be able to easily access and book the airline‘s range of business friendly products such as Flexi Fares.

The solid performance in the Distribution segment was also supported by new contracts of our merchandising solutions. At the end of last year, 66% of the global bookings made through the Amadeus system were eligible to carry a merchandising item. More than 120 airlines had contracts for Amadeus Airlines Ancillary Services by the end 2016, of which more than 90 had implemented the solutions by the close of the year. Amadeus Fare Families Solutions also continued its expansion in 2016. At the end of the year, 52 airline customers had contracted the merchandising solution. Of these, 33 had implemented the solution, which allows airlines worldwide to distribute branded fares to travellers. KAYAK was one of the customers that contracted solutions in 2016. The online travel search engine implemented Amadeus Master Pricer with Instant Search technology, which delivers online search results in milliseconds without compromising accuracy. Every one second of improvement in search response time for consumers can translate into an increase in conversion rates. IT Solutions Revenue grew 31.7% to €1,547.9 million Amadeus passengers boarded grew 85.0%, to a total of 1,382.5 million, in the full year period, fuelled by the addition of passengers boarded from Navitaire and a 12.2% increase in Altéa passengers boarded

Clients have continued to show their confidence in our solutions in 2017. Ryanair renewed at the beginning of this year its agreement with Navitaire until 2025, representing 25 years of collaboration between Ryanair and Navitaire. The airline will use Navitaire‘s ancillary and reservations solutions including merchandising, distribution, digital and departure control platforms. Altéa‘s growth was also supported by existing customers contracting additional solutions from the Airline IT portfolio. The network carriers of the Lufthansa Group opted in April for the full Amadeus Altéa Suite, adding Amadeus Altéa Departure Control Flight Management to their existing Altéa Reservation, Inventory and Departure Control Customer Management capabilities. The Amadeus Altéa Suite is now available to all of the group‘s network airlines. In June last year Amadeus was one of the first industry players to receive the Level 3 NDC (New Distribution Capability) certification from IATA. This is the highest possible level of certification; few have attained it, and it reaffirms Amadeus‘ leadership in innovation. Amadeus developed at the beginning of the year the Amadeus Altéa NDC solution which will allow airlines to distribute their prices and fares, including ancillary and fare family content using NDC Offers & Orders. This was shortly followed by Navitaire also receiving the highest level of NDC certification.

Airport IT Copenhagen Airports, which owns and operates the airports of Kastrup and Roskilde, in March signed a ten-year IT partnership with Amadeus. The agreement, with next-generation cloud-based technology, will provide far reaching benefits including an improved operational performance and customer experience, and included nine different solutions. The company has already successfully implemented the Amadeus Airport Sequence Manager and Airport Collaborative Decision Making Portal solutions to provide the airport, its airline customers, ground handlers and air traffic controllers with accurate and synched information on aircraft departures. Quebec City‘s Jean Lesage International Airport also showed its confidence in Amadeus during 2016. In March, the airport announced that it will implement Amadeus Airport Common Use Service (ACUS). Payments Amadeus continued to develop innovative products during 2016. B2B Wallet Prepaid was launched in February. This new virtual card, whose details are generated each time it is used to maximise security, was enhanced through two key partnerships with market leaders in July. Amadeus announced a partnership with MasterCard to offer travel agencies payment acceptance and security worldwide, as well as further protection against supplier default in B2B Wallet. The second partnership, with Ixaris, will allow travel agencies to easily create and add funds to their virtual payment cards.

Rail Among the key milestones for this unit in 2016 was the extension of the partnership between Amadeus and AccesRail, an IATA travel partner and content aggregator specialising in international travel. Travel agents will now be able to book 18 rail and bus operators across 26 countries on the same screen as air travel thanks to Amadeus‘ Air-Rail Display. RENFE, the Spanish rail operator, agreed in April to distribute its rail content to Amadeus subscribers globally. Search, booking, ticketing, payment and settlement flow for the travel agency are all handled by Amadeus now. Travel intelligence Two solutions were launched from this unit during 2016: Amadeus Performance Insight and Amadeus Booking Analytics. The first one allows airlines of all sizes to better understand their performance using data to inform and improve their decision making. Avianca Brasil, Air Vanuatu, ECAir and Kuwait Airways are some of the clients that have contracted this solution. Amadeus Booking Analytics offer airlines such as Hainan Airlines, China‘s largest private carrier, the possibility of monitoring bookings –per route, per booking class, per airline, among other criteria, and act upon them. Additional corporate news for 2016 For the fifth consecutive year, Amadeus in 2016 earned the recognition of being included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index in the IT & Internet Software and Services sector. Only the top 10% of scorers in each sector are able to enter the index, which makes this achievement even more meaningful for everyone at Amadeus. The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) are made up of global sustainability leaders based on economic, environmental, and social criteria; and are widely regarded as the most prominent standards for evaluating sustainability performance available to investors. In November 2016, Laurens Leurink was appointed Senior Vice President, Distribution, Amadeus, taking over from Holger Taubmann. Laurens brings financial, commercial and strategic acumen as well as deep travel industry knowledge to Amadeus. Laurens became a member of the Executive Committee of Amadeus in January 2017. Christophe Bousquet, Vice President, Airline IT R&D since 2013, and Denis Lacroix, Vice President, Reservation, Distribution and Mid-Back Office, R&D, also since 2013, were appointed members of the Executive Committee of Amadeus in January 2017. They will take on additional responsibilities as Amadeus evolves its R&D capabilities and organisation to meet the fast changing needs of customers and travellers.

MUMBAI: Africa‘s largest airline group, Ethiopian Airlines Friday said that it will host the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Global Aviation Training and TRAINAIR PLUS Symposium with the theme at Addis Ababa. An estimated 400-500 expected participants will be taking part in the Symposium, including the ICAO council resident and the secretary general, transport ministers, ambassadors, civil aviation and airport authorities, civil aviation officials, aircraft manufacturers, airline and airport operators, industry policy makers, and tourism experts.
