‫مصر للطٌران تحتفل بركاب أول رحلة بٌن شرم واألقصر بالورود والشٌكوالتة‬ ‫كتبت رحاب نبٌل‬

‫احتفلت شركة مصر للطٌران‪ ،‬مع المسافرٌن بتشغٌل أولى رحالتها الجوٌة بٌن شرم الشٌخ واألقصر‪ ،‬بعد توقف دام‬ ‫لعدة سنوات‪ ،‬وذلك بواقع رحلة أسبوعٌة‪ ،‬تكون قابلة للزٌادة فٌما بعد حسب حركة التشغٌل والطلب‪.‬‬ ‫وحرص طاقم الضٌافة الجوٌة على متن طائرة مصر للطٌران‪ ،‬بتوزٌع الورود والشٌكوالتة على ركاب الرحلة احتفاال‬ ‫بالمناسبة‪ ،‬وأعرب المسافرون والسائحون عن ساعدتهم بهذه اللفتة‪ ،‬كما أشادوا بعودة تشغٌل الرحالت الجوٌة بٌن‬ ‫شرم الشٌخ واألقصر‬ ‫جاء تشغٌل الرحالت الجوٌة بٌن شرم الشٌخ واألقصر‪ ،‬فى إطار سٌاسة ربط البحر األحمر بآثار وادى النٌل فى صعٌد‬ ‫مصر‪ ،‬وربط السٌاحة الشاطئٌة بالسٌاحة الثقافٌة وإتاحة المقاصد السٌاحٌة المصرٌة بكافة أنواعها أمام السائحٌن‪،‬‬ ‫وفى إطار التنسٌق الدائم بٌن وزارتى السٌاحة واآلثار والطٌران المدنى‬ ‫وبمناسبة بدء التشغٌل أهدت وزارة واآلثار السائحٌن بؤول رحلة طٌران لهذا الخط الجدٌد زٌارة مجانٌة لمقبرة الملكة‬ ‫نفرتارى بالبر الغربى لألقصر‪ ،‬الٌوم‪ ،‬والتى تبلغ تذكرتها ‪ 1400‬جنٌه مصرى‪.‬‬ ‫وسٌإدى هذا الخط إلى تمكٌن السٌاح من االستمتاع برحالت شاطئٌة فى مدن جنوب سٌناء الساحرة‪ ،‬ثم التوجه إلى‬ ‫األقصر‪ ،‬حٌث الحضارة الفرعونٌة الفرٌدة‪ ،‬وسٌعمل هذا على تنشٌط السٌاحة الثقافٌة بشكل كبٌر وهو الخطة التى‬ ‫تعمل علٌها وزارة السٌاحة واآلثار مإخرا للدمج بٌن األنماط السٌاحٌة المختلفة فى مصر‪.‬‬ ‫مإخرا من طراز اإلٌرباص ‪A220-300‬التى‬ ‫وتقوم مصر للطٌران بتشغٌل الرحلة بؤحدث طائراتها التى تسلمتها‬ ‫ً‬ ‫تتمٌز بمستوى عالى من الراحة والرفاهٌة‪ ،‬حٌث ٌمكن للعمالء حجز التذاكر من خالل زٌارة الموقع اإللكترونى أو‬ ‫الحجز واالستفسار عن طرٌق خدمة االتصاالت التلٌفونٌة على ‪ ،1717‬أو زٌارة مكاتب مصر للطٌران أو الوكالء‬ ‫السٌاحٌ​ٌن‪.‬‬ ‫وستستمر الرحلة الجدٌدة أسبوعٌا بٌن مدٌنتى شرم الشٌخ واألقصر خالل الموسم الحالى قابلة للزٌادة حال الطلب‪،‬‬ ‫وهو ما ٌساهم فى تنشٌط الحركة السٌاحٌة‪ ،‬من خالل ربط المدن السٌاحٌة المصرٌة بشبكة خطوط مصر للطٌران‬ ‫الدولٌة‪ ،‬عن طرٌق مطار القاهرة‪ ،‬وإتاحة الفرصة بسهولة أمام السائحٌن ومنظمى البرامج السٌاحٌة فى تنظٌم رحالت‬ ‫تضم االستمتاع بالسٌاحة الشاطئٌة والثقافٌة فى برنامج واحد‪.‬‬

‫حملت طائرة الشركة الوطنٌة مصر للطٌران الراعً الرسمً لكؤس السوبر المصري‪ ،‬كؤس بطولة السوبر المصري‪،‬‬ ‫مع بعثة نادي الزمالك التى سافرت الى أبو ظبى وعادت منها على متن مصر للطٌران‪ ،‬واستقبلت الشركة الوطنٌة‬ ‫بعثة نادي الزمالك حامل اللقب التً وصلت منذ قلٌل مطار القاهره علً متن رحلة الشركة رقم ‪MS915‬القادمة من‬ ‫أبوظبً‪.‬‬ ‫وذلك وسط استقبال حافل من الجماهٌر التً انتظرت وصول الفرٌق منذ عدة ساعات فً مطار القاهرة صالة ‪4‬‬ ‫وكانت مئات من جماهٌر نادي الزمالك فً التوافد إلى مطار القاهرة الدولً‪ ،‬الستقبال بعثة النادي بعد فوزه بالسوبر‬ ‫المصري على نظٌره النادي‪ ،‬رافعة اعالم وتٌشرتات نادي الزمالك‪.‬‬ ‫من جانبه شددت سلطات مطار القاهرة من إجراءات التؤمٌن فً محٌط صالة ‪ 4‬المخصصة للطائرات الخاصة‪ ،‬تحسبا‬ ‫لوقوع أي أعمال شغب من قبل الجماهٌر‪.‬‬ ‫قالت مصادر بمطار القاهرة‪ ،‬أن سلطات المطار نقلت استقبال بعثة الزمالك إلً صالة الطٌران الخاص رقم ‪ ،4‬تحسبا‬ ‫لوقوع أعمال شغب من جماهٌر الزمالك‪ ،‬وذلك منعا إلعاقة حركة الركاب أمام صالة السفر والوصول بمبنً الركاب‪.3‬‬

‫سنة صعبة تنتظر شركات الطٌران بسبب "كورونا"‬

‫حذرت الهٌئة الدولٌة للنقل الجوي ‪ ،IATA‬من أن انخفاض الطلب على السفر‪ ،‬الذي ٌسببه تفشً فٌروس "كورونا"‪،‬‬ ‫قد ٌكلف شركات النقل العالمٌة غالٌا‪.‬‬ ‫وتتوقع الهٌئة‪ ،‬أن انخفاض الطلب على السفر فً ظل تفشً الفٌروس القاتل‪ ،‬قد ٌكبد شركات النقل الجوي العالمٌة‬ ‫عشرات الملٌارات من الدوالرات‪.‬‬ ‫وأشارت الهٌئة‪ ،‬إلى أن شركات الطٌران فً آسٌا والمحٌط الهادئ ستكون األكثر تضررا‪ ،‬وقد تخسر ما ٌقارب ‪28‬‬ ‫ملٌار دوالر من عائداتها هذا العام‪ ،‬فٌما ستتراجع مبٌعات شركات الطٌران األخرى بنحو ‪ 1.5‬ملٌار دوالر‪.‬‬ ‫ووفقا لـ ‪IATA‬فإن تفشً "كورونا" سٌإدي إلى تقلٌل حركة المالحة العالمٌة بنحو ‪ ،%5‬وٌعتبر هذا االنخفاض األول‬ ‫من نوعه منذ األزمة المالٌة العالمٌة فً ‪.2008‬‬ ‫وقال المدٌر العام للهٌئة ألكسندر دي جونٌاك‪ ،‬إن شركات الطٌران تتخذ قرارات وصفها بـ"الصعبة"‪ ،‬فً سبٌل تخفٌض‬ ‫تكالٌف الوقود‪ ،‬مشٌرا أن سنة ‪ 2020‬ستكون سنة صعبة على هذه الشركات‪.‬‬

‫اتحاد النقل الجوي الدولً‪ :‬شركات الطٌران قد تخسر ‪ 29.3‬ملٌار دوالر بسبب فٌروس كورونا‬ ‫أتالنتا‪ ،‬الوالٌات المتحدة األمرٌكٌة ( ‪CNN)--‬قال اتحاد النقل الجوي الدولً ()‪ ،IATA‬الخمٌس‪ ،‬إن إجمالً اإلٌرادات‬ ‫العالمٌة المفقودة لشركات الطٌران قد تكون ‪ 29.3‬ملٌار دوالر‪ ،‬بسبب فٌروس كورونا‪.‬‬ ‫وأضافت االتحاد‪ ،‬فً بٌان‪ ،‬أن تقٌ​ٌمه األولً لتؤثٌر تفشً الفٌروس ٌُظهر خسارة ُمحتملة بنسبة ‪ :13‬لطلب‬ ‫المسافرٌن على شركات الطٌران فً منطقة آسٌا والمحٌط الهادئ‪.‬‬ ‫وتابع اتحاد النقل الجوي الدولً‪" :‬بالنظر إلى أنه كان من المتوقع أن ٌبلغ النمو لشركات الطٌران فً المنطقة ‪،:4.8‬‬ ‫سٌكون التؤثٌر الصافً هو انكماش سنوي بؤكمله بنسبة ‪ :8.2‬مقارنة بمستوٌات الطلب لعام ‪."2019‬‬ ‫وأوضح االتحاد أنه حال حدوث هذا السٌنارٌو فإنه "س ٌُترجم إلى خسارة إٌرادات بقٌمة ‪ 27.8‬ملٌار دوالر فً ‪2020‬‬ ‫لشركات النقل فً منطقة آسٌا والمحٌط الهادئ ‪ٌ -‬تحمل الجزء األكبر منها شركات نقل ُمسجلة فً الصٌن‪ ،‬مع خسارة‬ ‫‪ 12.8‬ملٌار دوالر فً السوق المحلٌة الصٌنٌة وحدها"‪.‬‬ ‫وحسب نفس السٌنارٌو‪ ،‬من المتوقع أن تتحمل شركات النقل خارج آسٌا والمحٌط الهادئ خسارة إٌرادات قدرها ‪1.5‬‬ ‫ملٌار دوالر‪ ،‬على افتراض أن فقدان الطلب ٌقتصر على األسواق المرتبطة بالصٌن‪.‬‬ ‫وهذا من شؤنه أن ٌجعل إجمالً اإلٌرادات العالمٌة المفقودة ‪ 29.3‬ملٌار دوالر (انخفاض إٌرادات الركاب بنسبة ‪:5‬‬ ‫مقارنة بما توقعه اتحاد النقل الجوي الدولً فً دٌسمبر‪/‬كانون األول الماضً)‪ ،‬وٌمثل زٌادة بنسبة ‪ :4.7‬فً الطلب‬ ‫العالمً‪ ،‬وفقا لالتحاد‪.‬‬ ‫وقال ألكسندر دي جونٌاك‪ ،‬المدٌر العام والرئٌس التنفٌذي التحاد النقل الجوي الدولً "إن التراجع الحاد فً الطلب‬ ‫تؤثٌرا مال ًٌا شدٌدًا على شركات الطٌران – ال سٌما لتلك ال ُمتعاملة مع السوق‬ ‫نتٌجة لفٌروس كورونا سٌكون له‬ ‫ً‬ ‫عتبرا أنه "عام صعب لشركات الطٌران"‪.‬‬ ‫الصٌنٌة"‪ُ ،‬م ً‬ ‫وكانت العدٌد من شركات الخطوط الجوٌة العالمٌة قد أوقفت وعلقت رحالتها من وإلى الصٌن "حتى إشعار آخر"‪ ،‬مع‬ ‫تصاعد وتٌرة المخاوف من انتشار فٌروس كورونا‪.‬‬

‫بعد انهٌار الشركة‪ ..‬قطر‪ :‬غٌر مهتمٌن باالستثمار فً طٌران إٌطالٌا‬

‫أعلنت شركة الخطوط الجوٌة اإلٌطالٌة "اٌر اٌطالً" مإخرا‪ ،‬والتً تستحوذ الخطوط الجوٌة القطرٌة على ‪ %49‬من‬ ‫أسهمها توقف خدماتها وأن شركات أخرى ستتولى تشغٌل آخر رحالتها‬ ‫الشركة قالت فً بٌان إن الرحالت المحجوزة فً الفترة من ‪ 11‬وحتى ‪ 25‬فبراٌر سٌتم تشغٌلها بواسطة شركات‬ ‫طٌران أخرى‪ ،‬أما الرحالت التالٌة لتارٌخ ‪ 25‬فبراٌر فسٌتم إعادة ثمن التذاكر إلى الركاب أو ٌتم تغٌ​ٌر ترتٌبات السفر‬ ‫من خالل شركات أخرى‪.‬‬ ‫الالفت للنظر أن انهٌار الشركة اإلٌطالٌة جاء بعد نحو عامٌن ونصف العام من استحواذ الخطوط الجوٌة القطرٌة على‬ ‫حصة أقلٌة تبلغ ‪ %49‬فً اٌر اٌطالً‪.‬‬ ‫من جانبها‪ ،‬أعلنت الخطوط القطرٌة‪ ،‬الجمعة أنها لٌست مهتمة باالستثمار فً الشركة اإلٌطالٌة المتعثرة |طٌران‬ ‫إٌطالٌا" لكنها ستفعل كل ما بوسعها كمساهم بحصة أقلٌة من أجل العاملٌن والركاب‪.‬‬ ‫وقالت الشركة القطرٌة فً بٌان "لم تعد الخطوط الجوٌة القطرٌة مهتمة باالستثمار فً طٌران إٌطالٌا أو فً أي‬ ‫مشروع للنقل الجوي فً إٌطالٌا"‪.‬‬ ‫وأكدت تقارٌر إعالمٌة أن الشركة اإلٌطالٌة خسرت فً ‪ 2018‬نحو ‪ 179‬ملٌون دوالر وخسرت فً ‪ 2019‬نحو‬ ‫‪ 218‬ملٌون دوالر‪ ،‬مما ٌكشف فشل الشركة فً تحقٌق أرباح للشركة وتطوٌرها مثلما تعهدت عند االستحواذ على‬ ‫الصحة‪.‬‬

IATA: Coronavirus could cost global airlines $30 billion in lost revenue

Global airlines could lose almost $30 billion in revenue due to a rapid decrease in travel demand, caused by coronavirus epidemic, the International Air Transport Authority (IATA) has warned in its latest airline industry forecast.

According to IATA’s forecast, if the outbreak remains mostly in China, Asian airlines will be hit the hardest and could lose nearly $28 billion in revenue this year. Carriers outside the region are likely to suffer a smaller sales hit of $1.5 billion. ―If it spreads more widely to Asia-Pacific markets then impacts on airlines from other regions would be larger,‖ the organization said.

According to the IATA, the outbreak will also likely reduce global traffic by almost five percent, marking the first overall decline in demand since the global financial crisis of 2008-09.

Overall, passenger traffic in the Asia-Pacific region is expected to fall by 8.2 percent this year, compared to an earlier estimate of a 4.8 percent rise. ―Airlines are making difficult decisions to cut capacity and in some cases routes,‖ said IATA Director General Alexandre de Juniac. ―Lower fuel costs will help offset some of the lost revenue. This will be a very tough year for airlines.‖ Dozens of airlines have canceled or reduced services to mainland China amid the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Qantas Airlines said the virus could carve up to $100 million of pre-tax profit from the second half of the company’s fiscal year. Air France-KLM expects earnings drop by as much as $216 million between February and April.

ST Engineering engine leasing joint venture sells 30 engines

ST Engineering’s engine leasing joint venture has entered a securitisation transaction for the sale of 30 aircraft engines.

The sale — the first for ST Engineering — will ―free up capital for future investments, including aircraft engines and reduce…capital employed‖, the company says.

It does not provide specifics about the engines involved, but states that they ―power primarily narrowbody aircraft‖ and are leased to 13 airlines across 11 countries. The engines have on average remaining lease of about six years.

The structure includes $257 million of fixed note rates offered in three placements, along with the placement of equity notes.

The joint venture, Total Engine Asset Management (TEAM), will retain 10% of the equity notes, with an affiliate of Japanese conglomerate Marubeni Corporation and other investors purchasing the remaining equity notes.

TEAM is a joint venture between ST Engineering’s aerospace unit and Marubeni. Its current portfolio comprises CFM56 and V2500 engines that power Airbus A320- and Boeing 737-family aircraft.

ST Engineering Aerospace’s president Lim Serh Ghee hails the ―major milestone‖ for the engine leasing business. ―It will allow us to lower our capital requirements for continued engine investments, while retaining TEAM’s asset manager role to create value for lessors through our innovative asset management solutions,‖ Lim adds.

Animation reveals Bek Air Fokker 100 crash sequence Kazakhstan’s government has released an animation detailing the take-off sequence of the Bek Air Fokker 100 involved in a fatal accident at Almaty.

The sequence clearly shows the difficulties the crew experienced in controlling the aircraft as it rotated from runway 05R while departing for NurSultan on 27 December.

It oscillates on lift-off but fails to gain altitude, striking the runway several times before overrunning and veering into a building.

Bek Air was grounded after the accident and has repeatedly appealed to authorities to allow the airline to restart operations.

The airline recently issued, extraordinarily, purported audio conversations between accident investigators and the first officer of the flight, who initially survived the accident but subsequently passed away on 28 January, shortly after the discussion.

Bek Air says the recordings were captured by the airline’s employees who were present at the time.

The transcript of the discussion includes question on how the crew checked the surface of the wings for ice, following suggestions that no check was conducted.

But the first officer apparently replies that he made a tactile check in three places, pointing out that he was able to check the front of the wing – which was ―clean and dry‖ – more easily because he was taller than the captain.

He says the de-icing of the stabiliser – and only the stabiliser – was the captain’s decision, because it could not be checked from the ground.

The first officer also says that the aircraft was able to track the runway centreline during the departure but had passed the V1 decision speed when problems emerged, and the crew therefore did not consider aborting the takeoff roll.

Control difficulties began, he says, after the nose-wheel lifted. He retracted the landing-gear, but only on the second attempt – and after a second call from the captain – because the aircraft was rolling sharply.

GoJet Airlines to add 20 more CRJ550s for United Express

GoJet Airlines (G7, St. Louis Lambert Int'l) has announced it has reached an agreement with United Airlines (UA, Chicago O'Hare) to add 20 incremental CRJ550s by 2021, bringing the total number of the type to be operated under the United Express brand to 74.

The 20 additional units will start delivering in summer 2020.

"United's decision to add more of these aircraft so quickly after the initial product launch is indicative of their long-term commitment to both the CRJ550 platform and to GoJet. We look forward to growing this exciting program with United," President and Chief Executive Rick Leach said.

GoJet Airlines is the world's only operator of the CRJ550, a 50-seater version of the CRJ700. It launched the type's operations in October 2019 and, according to the ch-aviation fleets advanced module, has so far taken deliveries of 21 aircraft.

The aircraft are deployed out of Chicago O'Hare and New York Newark on predominantly domestic routes, although they also serve Toronto Pearson. In summer 2020, GoJet will also start basing the CRJ550s out of Washington Dulles.

Philippine Airlines boosts capital stock by 130% to $592mn

Philippine Airlines (PR, Manila Ninoy Aquino Int'l) raised its authorised capital stock from PHP13 billion pesos (USD256 million) to PHP30 billion (USD592 million) on February 18, its parent PAL Holdings confirmed in a stock exchange disclosure the following day.

The move, approved at a meeting by a majority of the company’s stockholders, is part of a strategy to sustain profitability and maintain competitiveness, local media reported Philippine Airlines' president and chief operating officer Gilbert Santa Maria as saying.

PAL Holdings, which also owns Air Philippines (2P, Manila Ninoy Aquino Int'l), also said in the filing that Chinese Filipino billionaire Lucio Tan had taken over as group president, replacing his namesake son who died in November 2019. The position is concurrent with Tan's existing role as chairman. In addition, the number of directors at PAL Holdings will increase from nine to eleven.

In November, PAL Holdings posted a net loss of PHP7.86 billion (USD155 million) for the first nine months of 2019, a steep fall from the PHP3.29 billion (USD65 million) loss for the same period in 2018. The company blamed the result on an 8.8% rise in maintenance costs, among other factors. In January 2019, ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH, Tokyo Haneda) acquired a 9.5% stake in PAL Holdings for USD95 million.

1 Why Has Airbus Built The A321XLR? Why did Airbus build the A321XLR? Why did they look at the market and decide that it needed an aircraft that could fly 4,700 nautical miles non-stop with passengers in a single-aisle? And why have airlines fallen in love with the aircraft?

Let’s discuss why Airbus saw a need for this aircraft, and how airlines have reacted.

What exactly is the Airbus A321XLR? If you are new to aviation, then you might not know what exactly is the Airbus A321XLR and why it is such a game-changing aircraft.

Let’s begin with the origin of the A321XLR design. Take a deep breath. The A321XLR is a further derivative of the famous Airbus A321LR, which is a long-range extension of the Airbus A321neo, which in turn is an update of the popular Airbus A321 which itself was a stretch of the original A320. We could go further back, but it is debatable how much previous versions of Airbus aircraft can really be attributed to where we are now.

The aircraft specifically has the longest range of any narrowbody aircraft ever built, up to 4,700 nautical miles. This is thanks to bigger fuel tanks within the cargo hold of the aircraft, and an improved maximum take-off weight (thus able to take off with more fuel onboard without sacrificing cargo and passengers).

It does not improve on the cabin density of the A321LR (as they are the same length) and can only carry up to 220 passengers in two classes (or 240 in a single class).

As the aircraft is based on the neo variant of A320, it has all the improvement like winglets, modern cabin, and powerful new engines.

Why did Airbus build the aircraft?

There was a gap in the market that airlines were having trouble catering for. It was the medium density long haul routes, like between Boston and Manchester, that could be incredibly lucrative but would not make any money if a large long-haul aircraft was put on the route. Airlines were getting by via older Boeing 757 aircraft that suited the mission profile, but these planes were slowly falling into inefficiency compared to modern aircraft.

Thus Airbus saw a market demand and realized that if they could slightly improve the range on their A321neo aircraft then they would be able to fill in that void. And boy has the market ordered the aircraft in earnest. According to aeroTELEGRAPH, so far 22 airlines and two leasing companies have ordered the aircraft.

―Customers include United Airlines, American Airlines, Qantas, Iberia, Middle East Airlines, Vietjet, Air Asia X, Sky Airline, Flynas, and Air Arabia.‖

Currently, a significant percentage of air traffic traveling from Europe to North America passes either through Heathrow, London, or JFK, New York. In the past airlines needed as big aircraft as possible to take advantage of their expensive landing slots, as smaller aircraft couldn’t really do the distance over the ocean and they would lose money by not having enough seats onboard.

But with a smaller aircraft that can fly over the Atlantic, it means smaller airports up-state can now take the aircraft instead. The airports can offer attractive incentives for airlines, like minimal landing fees that would greatly increase the profit on a route. Airbus realized that airports would also technically be a customer, or attractor, of the type and designed an aircraft that could fill that need also.
