إلغاء إقالع 11رحلة دولية من مطار القاهرة لعدم جدواهم اقتصاديا كتب محمد طنطاوى
شهد مطار القاهرة الدولى ،اليوم االثنين إلغاء إقالع 11رحلة جوية دولية لعدم جدواها اقتصاديا وقلة عدد ركابها ،ومشاكل فى التشغيل. وقالت مصادر مالحية بمطار القاهرة إن السلطات المعنية تلقت 5إخطارات من الشركة المصرية العالمية للطيران بإلغاء رحالتها رقم 112المتجهة إلى ينبع، ورحلة رقم 601المتجهة إلى تبوك ،ورحلة رقم 106المتجهة إلى ينبع ،ورحلة رقم 104المتجهة إلى الطائف ،ورحلة رقم 5510المتجهة إلى الكويت. وأضافت المصادر أن سلطات المطار تلقت إخطارين من شركة النيل للطيران بإلغاء رحلتيها رقم 113المتجهة إلى ينبع ،ورحلة رقم 145المتجهة إلى حائل، باإلضافة إلى إخطارين آخرين من شركة إير كايرو بإلغاء رحلتيها رقم 4435 المتجهة إلى الهفوف ،ورحلة رقم 441المتجهة إلى ينبع ،كما تلقت السلطات إخطارين من شركة نسمة تفيد إلغاء رحليتها رقم 130المتجهة إلى الطائف ورحلة 140المتجهة إلى القصيم ،بسبب عدم جدواها اقتصاديا وقلة عدد ركابها، وقامت سلطات المطار بتنسيق سفر الركاب على متن طائرات أخرى.

مطار القاهرة الدولي يحتفل بأول هلكوبتر مجمعة في مصر احتفل مطار القاهرة الدولي ،اليوم االثنين ،بانضمام أول طائرة هليكوبتر مجمعة بأي ٍد مصرية ألسطول شركة خدمات البترول الجوية في إطار خطة تطويرها وزيادة الخدمات المقدمة لشركات البترول .وصرحت مصادر مطلعة شاركت في االحتفال ،أنه شارك في االحتفال قيادات الطيران المدني والبترول بحضور اللواء "يحيي حسين" رئيس شركة البترول للخدمات الجوية ،حسبما ذكرت "صدى البلد" .وتم إستعراض إمكانيات الطائرة الجديدة والخدمات التي تقدمها وأنها تعد اول طائرة من هذا الطراز يتم تجميعها بأي ٍد مصرية .يذكر أن خدمات البترول الجوية أو PAS - Petroleum )Air Servicesإحدى شركات قطاع البترول المصري ،والتي تأسست عام 1982كشركة مساهمة مصرية .ويقع مقرها الرئيسي ً مركزا لعملياتها وتقوم في القاهرة ،وتتخذ من مطار القاهرة الدولي بتقديم الخدمات الالزمة لشركات البترول العاملة في مصر وتمتلك حوالي 30طائرة متنوعة من طرازات بيل وبومبارديو داش 7و.8

Etihad and Lufthansa agree on codeshare Flights Etihad Airways and Lufthansa announced a codeshare agreement that is set to start in January 2017. The wet-lease agreement between Lufthansa Group and airberlin – in which Etihad Aviation Group indirectly holds a 29 per cent stake – was also announced. Under the codeshare agreement, the German airline will place its „LH‟ code on Etihad Airways‟ twice daily non-stop flights between its home base of Abu Dhabi and Frankfurt and its twice daily non-stop services between Abu Dhabi and Munich, the biggest city in southern Germany. In turn, Etihad puts its „EY‟ code on Lufthansa‟s long-haul, non-stop intercontinental services between its home base of Frankfurt, the business and commercial capital of Germany, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as well as Bogota, Colombia. Lufthansa‟s point-to-point carrier Eurowings and Austrian Airlines, a Lufthansa Group airline, have signed an agreement to wet lease 38 aircraft from airberlin. 33 of these aircraft are to be operated for the Eurowings Group, an additional five aircraft are to be flown for Austrian Airlines. The agreement has a term of six years and becomes effective from February 2017 subject to any regulatory requirements. The leases have been agreed at competitive rates.

Singapore Airlines launches Stockholm route in 2017 Just in time for Christmas Singapore Airlines has handed the Scandinavians a nice gift: come May 2017 the airline will open its new route to Stockholm via Moscow, adding its second Scandinavian city to the network Subject to regulatory approvals, flights to Stockholm will be launched on 30 May 2017 and will be operated with Airbus A350-900 aircraft – the latest addition to the SIA fleet. The new flights will complement SIA‟s existing flights to Copenhagen in Denmark, boosting connectivity between Southeast Asia and Northern Europe. From 30 May, its Moscow rout frequency will increase to five per week and the flights will continue on to Stockholm‟s Arlanda Airport. There also a second news connecting to Scandinavian in this announcement: Star Alliance partner Scandinavian Airlines will codeshare on the new services. Subject to approval from competition authorities, the new services will also be included in a joint venture agreement between the two airlines that took effect in 2013 covering flights between Scandinavia and Singapore. “We have been evaluating services to Stockholm for several years and are pleased that we can now introduce services to the Swedish capital using the newest aircraft in our fleet, the Airbus A350-900. It is encouraging that our partnership with Scandinavian Airlines is going from strength to strength,” said SIA‟s CEO, Mr Goh Choon Phong. This is another example of how together with partners we can jointly offer more travel options for our customers, bringing Southeast Asia and Scandinavia closer in addition to meeting increasing demand for travel between Southwest Pacific and Northern Europe. With the new services to Stockholm complementing existing flights to Copenhagen, customers will soon have the choice of two convenient gateways to explore the increasingly popular Nordic countries.”

Customers will be able to enjoy SIA‟s latest-generation cabin products on the new A350-900 aircraft. This includes all-new Business, Premium Economy and Economy class seats, as well as the award-winning KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system. The aircraft are fitted with 253 seats, including 42 in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy Class and 187 in Economy Class. Tickets for the new Stockholm flights will be made available for sale progressively through the various distribution channels.

(1) SingaporeAir, Qantas, Qatar Airways, circle each other's airport strategies Qantas won‟t confirm or deny contemplating new flights from Singapore to London, SingaporeAir is going full throttle for more full service options over Changi Airport, and Qatar Airways sees its chance to fill voids left by airport expansion delays by its ME rivals Emirates and Etihad at their respective Dubai and Abu Dhabi hubs. And that means in Singapore, as well as Australia, for the Doha based Qatar carrier, which currently flies A380s to Sydney and Melbourne, and will start Canberra flights, possibly with A350s, in the nearish future. There is a lot for airline watchers to process in recent weeks, including of course the whole new ball game for Qantas in opting for 2018 non-stops between Perth and London, which cuts at least some of the attractions of Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha out of the action anyhow for those travellers who don‟t need secondary connections with European or Asian cities. Today‟s development, a Singapore Airlines announcement that it will substantially lift its number of flights from key Australian airports to its Changi hub from next July, will mean more better timed A380, 777 and A330 flights spread across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, as well as growth in onward services to key destinations including Rome, Moscow, its new destination of Stockholm, and Bangkok, Dhaka and Ho Chi Minh City .

(2) See your travel agent or patiently study the booking sites to delve into the matrix of new possibilities, since it can be confidently predicted no-one is going to fly to all of them in the next timetabling season without losing control over their lives or being admitted to a rehabilitation centre. The real message from Singapore Airlines to its investors and its competitors is that contrary to some expectations, its ambitions for its low cost brand Scoot will not come at the cost of any retreat from excellence or frequency by its full service brand, and its new premium economy cabins either. It might have been as the airline says, a tough year for Singapore Airlines, but it continues to make good money, and leveraging the timely improvements to the Changi hub is critical to limiting the advances made by its ME imitators. Singapore Airlines is also replacing older A380s with new A380s, and its Airbus A350s, which are inherently more comfortable than tight fit 787s are in the medium term replacing its older but recently refurbished 777200s and its leased A330s. Emirates is already an all A380 airline out of Sydney. And the major Australian airport is just about full when it comes to useful longer haul slots. The pressure is on all carriers to upscale the capacity of their jets, and doing so by means of inflicting physical pain on those flying economy class may not prove nearly as smart as some airline advisors think. The Singapore Airlines announcements begs a number of sensitive questions for Qantas, as well as the ME3. Changi airport is way ahead of other Asia hubs for serving secondary cities in the hemisphere, and can just as readily address such destinations in Europe with less hassle than Dubai. Apart from Perth, which is part of a very credible answer, what else might Qantas do? Whatever it does, Singapore Airlines looks set to do it sooner. Stay tuned. There has to be more to come.

Airberlin names Thomas Winkelmann CEO Airberlin has named Thomas Winkelmann as its new CEO, effective Feb. 1, 2017. He will replace Stefan Pichler. Winkelmann will become the fourth airberlin CEO since 2011. Pichler has decided to leave the company after two years as CEO, and is returning to Australia. Before Pichler, Wolfgang Prock-Schauer and Hartmut Mehdorn served as CEO of the oneworld member. The airline has struggled to find a long-term CEO to replace Joachim Hunold, who led airberlin from 2006-2011. Winkelmann will take over the restructuring program that had been led by Pichler. The latest move in that program was the finalizing of a wet-lease agreement with Lufthansa Group in which 38 airberlin Airbus A319/A320 aircraft will be operated for Eurowings and Austrain Airlines. From September 2006-October 2015, Winkelmann was CEO of Lufthansa low-cost subsidiary Germanwings. He was appointed head of Lufthansa‟s hub in Munich Nov. 1, 2015.

UK cargo handlers the latest to announce strike action Cargo handlers working for Swissport in the UK are the latest group to announce plans to go on strike in protest over pay. Unite, the UK's largest union, said that more than 1,500 check-in staff, baggage handlers and cargo crew would take part in a 48-hour strike beginning at 00:01 on Friday morning. The union said that members voted by 62.5% to reject a 4.6% threeyear pay deal for the 2015-2017 period, arguing it failed to keep pace with inflation. Unite added: "The staff are also angry that detrimental changes to terms and conditions have been linked to the pay deal. "The changes include freezing overtime payments for the foreseeable future and restructuring pay." The union called on Swissport management to take part in negotiations the UK's conciliation service, Acas. In response, Swissport said the latest pay offer was in line with what union representatives had previously indicated they were prepared to accept. It said as well as the pay increase, it had put forward additional holiday pay, increases to overtime rates and other pay supplements for the majority of workers covered by the agreements.

(2) The ground handler added that only 1,200 staff of the 6,000 employed in the areas affected by the strike had taken part in the vote. "We operate in a very low margin and highly competitive sector and our overall pay and conditions already compare favourably with our competitors," Swissport said. "We therefore believe the offer already made is very reasonable and would have been welcomed by the majority of our staff. We remain committed to resolving this matter as soon as possible while protecting the interests of our customers, airline passengers and ultimately our staff.” The planned Unite strike is the latest in a series of disputes that could effect the airfreight industry over the last few months. Last week, British Airways cabin crew announced a strike on Christmas Day and Boxing Day (December 26) over a pay dispute. Talks aimed at resolving the dispute are due to go-ahead today. Meanwhile, in November Lufthansa pilots took part in a series of strikes that are estimated to have cost the company €10m-15m per day. Last week the German carrier and the pilots‟ union Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) agreed to approach a mediatorfor a collective wage agreement. Pilots at US lessor ABX also held a strike - over pay and conditions that lasted for around a day before a judge ordered them back to work.
