FREE STATE BREWING CO. Lawrence, KS

The Free State Brewing Company was established in 1989 as the first legal brewery in Kansas since Prohibition times. They’re also Grandstand’s original craft beer partner, and the first piece of glassware we ever printed was their 64 oz. amber growler. We’ve walked in tandem with them through the exciting growth of the craft beer industry.

Since then, their brand has evolved to a diverse lineup of Grandstand-branded glassware, bottles, apparel and more. Free State reached out to Grandstand and enlisted our Creative Services for the launch of their seasonal release line, the Front Porch Series. We collaborated with Free State’s local artist, bringing their Front Porch artwork to life on six pack carriers. As they’ve added brews to the lineup, we’ve provided illustration and design services for each new bottled beer in the series, with accompanying apparel designs. Their lineup of core bottled brews also got a fresh identity, with new illustrations on each six pack carrier.

THE ROASTERIE Kansas City, MO

The Roasterie is a specialty coffee roaster for the discerning connoisseur. Their way is the air roasting way, ensuring superior consistency and a smoother, tastier cup of coffee. Quality, freshness and education— that’s what The Roasterie story is all about.

Those are also the same qualities our Creative Services team brought to their new apparel designs. Superior quality art, consistency across all their branding, and a subtle refresh to their existing look. BOULEVARDIA Kansas City, MO

This urban street festival, hosted by our Kansas City partners Boulevard Brewing Company, is no everyday experience. It’s a pop-up nation rich in beer, food, music and more that celebrates the unique flavors and culture of the great Midwest, which Grandstand is proud to call home.

When our Creative Services team was approached about doing merchandise design for Boulevardia, we were thrilled to be offered the opportunity to create designs that reflect the community, sustainability and good times that the Boulevardia nation was built on. Our designers took those themes, gave them a Midwestern twist, and translated them to official event glassware and apparel that showcases what Boulevardia is all about— Beer, food, music and more beer.

PALMETTO BREWING COMPANY Charleston, SC

Palmetto Brewing Company, the oldest brewery in South Carolina, is self-described as “a brewery by the people, for the people.” A Charleston favorite that’s a comfortable and cool place to hang out with friends, Palmetto has an illustrious history and an appreciation for their coastal environment.

After recently updating their branding, Palmetto approached Grandstand about translating the new look of their bottles and carriers to their merchandise line. We took their refreshed look and scaled it across new apparel items, bottle openers, koozies and more, staying true to their new branding. Each product features the new look in a way that is eye-catching and undeniably Palmetto.

LAKE GENEVA CANOPY TOURS Lake Geneva, WI

This Wisconsin-based outdoor and adventure center operates year-round, providing a variety of eco-tours from the forest floor to the treetops. Zip line canopy tours, high ropes courses, hiking and mountain biking make Lake Geneva a place that has something for everyone (with a sense of adventure, at least).

They came to Grandstand with the request for branded retail products that didn’t require a cohesive style, but with designs that would stand on their own. We responded with recommend products and unique designs that are as diverse as the exploits to be had at Lake Geneva. From glassware and stainless steel cups, to t-shirts, hoodies and work shirts, we hooked them up with custom branding that reflects adventure and nature, both of which are at the heart of Lake Geneva Canopy Tours.

DOWNTOWN LAWRENCE RESTAURANT WEEK Lawrence, KS

An annual event in our hometown, Downtown Lawrence Restaurant Week is a time for local restaurants to flex their creative muscles, when it comes to food and drink.

It’s also a chance for the Creative Services team at Grandstand to show off their own abilities, by designing the official event glass. Based off of the existing theme, our team came up with this original artwork to showcase the incredible photorealism our designers and screenprinters can cook up. It promotes one of Lawrence’s most eclectic culinary events with a corresponding amount of imagination and playfulness.
