PEORIA 411: The Latest Local News You Need to Know City News

UTILITY RATE INCREASE EFFECTIVE JULY 1

In response to the rising costs necessary to maintain a secure water and solid waste infrastructure, utility rates in Peoria will see an increase starting July 1. The average residential customer's total utility bill will rise by approximately 8.4%, equating to an additional $8.36 per month.

This increase includes a $5.46 monthly hike for water and sewer services, based on a ¾-inch meter, 10,000-gallon water usage, and 8,000-gallon sewer usage. Additionally, garbage and recycling rates will increase by $2.90 per month.

For non-residential customers, the rate increases will vary depending on several factors, including meter size, usage, flow-based EPA charges, container size, and the number of pickups required.

To view the complete rate schedule, please visit peoriaaz. gov/customerservice, scroll down, and click on “Utility Rates and Charges FY25” (PDF).

For any questions regarding the rate changes, contact Customer Service at 623-773-7160 or email customerservice@peoriaaz.gov. Customer Service office hours are Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

MAJOR MAINTENANCE PROJECT FOR PEORIA CITY HALL BEGINS IN JULY

Starting in July, Peoria City Hall will undergo a significant $2.4 million roof replacement and weatherization improvement project. Despite the presence of scaffolding and construction activity, the building at 8401 W. Monroe St. will remain fully accessible to both the public and staff throughout the renovation.

Clear signage will be placed to guide visitors to entrances during the construction period. Peoria City Hall’s operating hours are Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding holidays.

The Peoria Municipal Complex, including city hall, is over 30 years old and in need of substantial maintenance. The upcoming project, spread over the next year, will involve replacing the roof and enhancing the building envelope's weather resistance.

The roof repair will be executed in two phases over the next eight months, weather permitting. The first phase, from July to November, will focus on the east and center buildings. The second phase will begin in November, targeting the western portion of city hall, and is expected to conclude by March 2025.

Beyond roof replacement, crews will address deteriorating fascia, soffits, skylights, balcony patios, masonry, and glazing joint systems.

These essential repairs and investments in city hall's maintenance will ensure the building’s functionality and serviceability for another 25 years.

PEORIA SEEKS PUBLIC INPUT ON HOUSING NEEDS ASSESSMENT

The city of Peoria is reaching out to residents for their input on affordable housing and community development needs for the next five years. This community feedback will help shape the city's strategies and goals for utilizing funds from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME).

Three public hearings have been scheduled to gather information and feedback from the community. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) mandates the Five-Year Consolidated Plan (ConPlan) to ensure Peoria continues to receive annual funding as a CDBG entitlement city. The insights gained from these hearings will assist the city in addressing housing and community development needs effectively and may guide the allocation of additional resources for community benefit.

Residents are encouraged to attend one of the remaining public hearings:

• Monday, July 8, 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Rio Vista Recreation Center, Riverside Room, 8866 W. Thunderbird Rd. (Virtually and in-person)

• Tuesday, July 9, 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sunrise Mountain Library, Community Room, 21109 N. 98th Ave. (Virtually and in-person)

In addition to the public hearings, residents can provide input through an online community survey available until September 30 at research.net/r/peoria-community.

Written comments can also be mailed to: City of Peoria

Neighborhood and Human Services

Attn: CDBG Program

9875 N. 85th Avenue

Peoria, AZ 85345

The city of Peoria anticipates receiving approximately $900,000 in CDBG funds and $250,000 in HOME funds annually during the ConPlan period. These funds will be dedicated to assisting low and moderateincome residents. Your participation and input are crucial in helping Peoria address its housing and community development needs.

City News REI Co-op Opens New Store in Glendale

REI CO-OP, THE NATIONAL RETAILER BELOVED BY OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS, OPENED ITS NEWEST STORE IN THE VALLEY IN LATE JUNE. The 23,400-square-foot store is located in the Arrowhead Promenade shopping center at 6040 W. Behrend Dr., near the 101 freeway and 59th Avenue. This marks REI's sixth location in Arizona.

The Glendale store offers a wide selection of outdoor gear and apparel, including equipment for camping, hiking, cycling, running, fitness, and paddling. Given the area's active community, the store places a special emphasis on cycling, running, and fitness gear.

REI has hired 50 employees for the new location. The Glendale space, a former retail location, perfectly suits REI's needs, according to a company spokesperson, noting that the layout is ideal without any awkward spaces.

Strategically located close to REI's distribution center in Goodyear, the Glendale store will benefit from efficient restocking, especially during peak seasons like the holidays.

The new store features a specialty bike shop staffed with certified mechanics ready to assist cyclists with repairs and maintenance, ensuring they can enjoy yearround riding on local trails and streets.

"We are a team of over 50 experts passionate about our community and ready to share our love for an active

lifestyle in a wide range of activities," says Leah Taylor, manager of the Glendale REI store. "There are already 14,200 co-op members in Glendale, and we look forward to serving the broader outdoor community."

REI Glendale joins the ranks of Arizona's other locations: Paradise Valley, Chandler, Flagstaff, Prescott, and Tucson. The Paradise Valley store, the closest at 12 miles away, opened in 1996.

REI also operates an adventure center in Scottsdale, offering day tours and gear rentals for cycling, paddling, and camping. This center serves as the operational base for guides who lead adventure travel trips throughout the Southwest.

As the largest consumer co-op in the United States, REI welcomes all shoppers, though members enjoy numerous benefits. Arizona boasts nearly 655,000 co-op members. Membership, which requires a onetime $30 fee, provides discounts on services, rentals, and experiences, early access to special products, and the Re/Supply program for lightly used gear. Members also receive an annual Co-op Member Reward, typically 10% back on eligible purchases from the previous year.

New members join a community dedicated to outdoor living and equity. Each new membership results in a $5 donation to the REI Cooperative Action Fund, supporting nonprofits that work to make the outdoors more accessible for everyone. In celebration of the Glendale store opening, REI donated $10,000 to a local nonprofit working towards this goal.

Store hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit rei.com/ stores/glendale.

Kids’ Corner Chicken N Pickle Opens Free Pickleball Courts for Teens on Sunday Nights

In an effort to introduce more young people to the growing sport of pickleball, Chicken N Pickle has launched a new initiative offering free pickleball sessions for teens. Every Sunday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., teens can enjoy the outdoor courts at Chicken N Pickle’s Glendale location without any cost.

Senior Director of Communications for Chicken N Pickle Carrie Bartlow explains the motivation behind this initiative: “We are always looking for ways to introduce people of all ages and abilities to the game of pickleball. We know that teens appreciate inclusive fun and unforgettable experiences - and that’s exactly what they’ll find at Chicken N Pickle. Offering free outdoor courts removes the barrier of cost and allows them to safely gather together at a stateof-the-art facility to make memories!”

Pickleball, known for its low-impact and social nature, is an ideal activity for teenagers. The game’s simple rules and minimal equipment requirements make it accessible for everyone. “Pickleball is a low-impact, highly social sport; the rules are easy to learn and follow and it’s a simple concept that doesn’t require a lot of training or equipment - all you need is a paddle and a ball! They can bring their own or rent one of ours,” Bartlow notes. She also highlights the physical benefits, saying, “It’s accessible for all ages and abilities and can help with coordination, balance, and agility. We see teens coming on to our courts, putting their phones down, and making memories together while getting exercise.”

The community response to this initiative has been overwhelmingly positive. Since its launch, various youth groups, sports teams, and school clubs have taken advantage of the free courts.

“We launched our free courts for teens recently across all 10 Chicken N Pickle locations and have loved seeing youth groups, sports teams, school clubs, and more gather to enjoy fun on the courts along with delicious food. We’re a ‘low tech, high touch’ environment where they have fun competing and connecting with each other,” says Bartlow.

Ensuring a safe and welcoming environment is a top priority for Chicken N Pickle. The venue is designed to be inclusive and family-friendly, offering not just pickleball courts but also food, indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, and giant yard games.

"We know that groups of teens enjoy playing, eating, celebrating and gathering in a place that is welcoming and inclusive,” says Bartlow. “Our property has something for everyone

- it’s the coolest backyard they never want to leave!”

Looking ahead, Chicken N Pickle plans to expand this initiative and introduce more people to the joys of pickleball. They are hopeful that the Sunday Social Teen Nights will continue to grow in popularity throughout the summer. “We’re always looking for ways to get people on our courts and introduce all ages and abilities to the game of pickleball. We offer beginner clinics, newbie nights, and even adaptive pickleball programming because we truly believe pickleball is for all,” Bartlow adds.

For more information on how to get involved or support these initiatives, drop by their Glendale location, located at 9330 W. Hanna Lane, in Glendale, on Sunday nights to see the fun firsthand, or visit chickennpickle.com.

Arizona Broadway Theatre Presents “The Little Mermaid”

Shine up your “dinglehopper,” freshen up your “snarfblat” and get your “thingamabobs” in line. After enchanting audiences around the world for more than 35 years, “The Little Mermaid” makes a splash at Arizona Broadway Theatre, June 21 through Aug. 4.

Based on Disney’s beloved 1989 animated classic film, the stage musical is a retelling of Hans Christian Anderson’s story of an adventurous mermaid princess with a knack for disobeying the rules and following her heart. Her fascination with the human world leads her to the ocean’s surface, a zone designated “off-limits” by her father, King Triton. Ariel just can’t help it; she wants

to see how the other half lives. On one of her adventures to the surface, she sets her sights on Prince Eric and will do just about anything to become part of his world, even if it means trading her voice to the king’s arch nemesis, Ursula, to make it happen.

“Our production of 'The Little Mermaid' is the epitome of sweet nostalgia and will take audiences back in time to the place they were when they first saw the heartwarming love story,” says Kurtis Overby, artistic director at Arizona Broadway Theatre. “With all the songs you love and characters you remember, audiences of all ages can expect a whimsical adventure under the sea and a night filled with romance, comedy, and awardwinning music.”

This production will be a feast for the eyes including costumes made by talented local artisans and the use of Arizona Broadway Theatre’s $250,000 interactive LED wall, which measures 20 feet tall and 30 feet wide and includes more than five million pixels. This is the only one of its kind in the state.

“The LED wall allows scenic designers to incorporate a richer and deeper way to tell stories through video and effects,” adds Overby. “With ‘The Little Mermaid,’ we are able to convey the underwater story in a more

captivating way with an electric-colored set and an ocean that comes alive to enhance an already magical show.”

“The Little Mermaid” stage production includes music by Tony- and Oscar-award-winning composer, Alan Menken, and lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater. The enchanting musical includes well-known songs like “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Poor Unfortunate Souls.”

The Arizona Broadway Theatre cast includes Jasmine Bassham as Ariel, Coleman Payne as Prince Eric, Tim Shawver as Grimsby, Richard Chaz Gomez as King Triton, Lynzee Foreman as Ursula the Sea Witch, Troy Wheeler and Ben Milan-Polisar as Flotsam and Jetsam, Malcolm Jamal King as Sebastian and Danny Feldman as Scuttle. Local child actors Kingston Petty-Purcell, Jackson Beeson and Carter Wells will share the role of Flounder.

Unlike any other theatre in the Valley, Arizona Broadway Theatre provides an all-encompassing experience combining world-class dining and entertainment. For each show, a team of award-winning chefs create a customized food and beverage menu.

Tickets for “The Little Mermaid” can be purchased in person, by contacting the Box Office daily between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 623-776-8400, or by visiting azbroadway.org.

• Liquid watercolor paint or food coloring

• Dish soap

• Water

• White construction paper (optional)

MIXING IT UP

1. Gather Your Supplies: Start by collecting your jars and other materials. This is a great opportunity to teach kids about recycling by using old jars.

4. Blow Bubbles: Dip your bubble wands

into the colorful mixture and start blowing bubbles. Watch as vibrant, translucent bubbles float and pop.

5. Add Extra Fun: For an additional twist, grab some white craft paper and blow the colored bubbles toward the paper. Watch as the bubbles pop on the paper, revealing beautiful, colorful patterns.

THE LEARNING JOURNEY

As your children experiment with blowing colored bubbles, they’ll engage in a fun and educational experience. • Budget-friendly: All you need are a few household items and some food coloring.

Cover Story MODERN MINDED HYPNOTHERAPY: Transforming Lives Through the Power of the Mind

In 2020, Leona Kiamahoe faced a series of personal and professional challenges that tested her resilience. As the COVID-19 pandemic spread, Kiamahoe lost her job, struggled to find new employment, and faced the heartbreak of losing her father to cancer. Unable to attend his funeral in Hawaii, she grappled with immense grief and guilt. These hardships took a toll on her marriage and health, leading to high blood pressure, elevated sugar levels, and asthma.

Determined to find a solution, Kiamahoe discovered the transformative power of hypnotherapy. This discovery not only helped her confront and manage stressful events but also inspired her to open Modern Minded Hypnotherapy, where she now helps others achieve mind-body harmony using the tools and skills hypnotherapy offers.

"Dealing with stressors can be challenging, but a necessary step in the healing process and overall comprehension of the situation. Using hypnosis, we can explore the situation from a different perspective. This calm state of mind can allow the subconscious to accept new, upgraded perceptions surrounding the event,” Kiamahoe explains. "Hypnotherapy is much like riding a satisfying wave – your adrenaline is high, then time begins to slow, you are attuned and in balance with the wave – and with the shore in sight, you are stoked and ready to take on the next,” Kiamahoe describes.

"Hypnotherapy is unique and often overlooked and misunderstood. It is a beneficial alternative method for some, and this option is not often discussed. It is known to be offered and utilized within some healthcare settings as an alternative option to anesthesia for pain desensitization. I encourage potential clients to continue their search about hypnotherapy and consult with their medical provider if there is a diagnosis of psychiatric or neurological disorders," Kiamahoe explains.

Kiamahoe's journey to hypnotherapy was rooted in a lifelong desire to help others. “Growing up in Hawaii, I was surrounded by mana wahine (strong women) within the healthcare field – my beautiful mother, sister, and aunts,”

Kiamahoe shares. Motivated by these women, Kiamahoe pursued a career within healthcare, amassing over 25 years of experience in medical records, coding, auditing, compliance, leadership, and education. She holds a Master's in Health Administration and is soon to complete a Ph.D. in Health Science. She also holds a certification as a Clinical Hypnotherapist through the American College of Hypnotherapy.

"My dad was my rock. He was a proud, hardworking, Vietnam veteran. He inspired my value for health and perseverance with his unconventional physical training and healthconscious routines. I cherish those lessons and the determined mindset he instilled in me,” Kiamahoe shares.

Kiamahoe's cultural roots and Native Hawaiian heritage play a significant role in her approach to hypnotherapy. The aloha (love) spirit and kokua (helping) nature of her upbringing have deeply influenced her desire to promote mind-body health and support others to thrive.

Modern Minded Hypnotherapy offers a range of services. She tailors her sessions to each client's unique needs, ensuring a personalized and effective approach.

"I have assisted clients with anxiety, stress, pain, weight management, reclaiming their zest for life, gaining some restful sleep, success in sports and academics, coping with traumatic events, and smoking cessation," Kiamahoe explains.

Record-Breaking Sale in Peoria: Luxury Home Sold for $5.275 Million

Aluxurious Peoria residence recently sold for $5.275 million, setting a new city record for the highest-priced sale of a luxury home. Located at 8035 W. Expedition Way, the nearly 12,000-square-foot property was originally listed in July 2023 for $5.98 million.

Constructed in 2009 by Scottsdale’s Legendary Homes Inc., the 11,695-square-foot main house sits on a 2.18-acre lot and includes a 1,277-squarefoot guest house. This sale also marked the largest home ever sold within Peoria’s city limits. The property boasts five bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

Realtors Jamie Wong and Melissa Dierks of RE/MAX Fine Properties managed the listing. Public records identify the buyer as Ashoraya Mezdo.

Wong and Dierks have a history of

setting records on the same street. They sold a home at 8065 W. Expedition Way for $3.2 million in 2020 and the home at 7979 W. Expedition Way for $5.25 million in April 2023.

Guiding You to Financial Freedom

Legal The Importance of Estate Planning

Welcome to the world of estate planning—a topic as thrilling as watching paint dry but crucial for ensuring your loved ones aren’t left untangling a financial mess. Today, let’s break down estate planning with a sprinkle of humor and some tasty analogies.

WHY BOTHER WITH ESTATE PLANNING?

Imagine your estate is like a giant pizza. You’ve spent years crafting this delicious pie, adding toppings (assets) like your house, savings, investments, and that collection of vintage action figures no one in your family quite appreciates. Without an estate plan, when you’re gone, your loved ones might argue over who gets the last slice, or worse, the government might swoop in and take a hefty bite.

WILL POWER: NOT JUST FOR DIETS

The cornerstone of estate planning is a will. Think of it as the instruction manual for your pizza. A will tells everyone who gets which slice of your estate. Without one, it’s like leaving a group of hungry people to figure out how to share a pizza without a pizza cutter. Chaos ensues, and no one is happy with the cold leftovers.

TRUST ME, IT’S IMPORTANT

A trust is like a pizza delivery service. It ensures your assets (slices of pizza) are delivered to the right people at the right time, hot and ready. Trusts can also protect your assets from being devoured by taxes and creditors, much like a pizza delivery driver dodging potholes and speed bumps.

THE POWER OF ATTORNEY: YOUR FINANCIAL SIDEKICK

A power of attorney (POA) is your financial sidekick, like Batman’s Robin, ready to step in if you’re out of commission. If you’re unable to manage your finances, your POA can handle things, ensuring your bills are paid and your assets are managed. It’s like having someone hold onto the pizza money while you’re busy fighting off Gotham’s villains (or just recuperating from a hospital stay).

HEALTHCARE

DIRECTIVES:

THE PIZZA PREFERENCES LIST

Healthcare directives are your medical instructions, like a pizza preferences list. Do you want pineapple on your pizza? (no

judgment here!) Similarly, these directives ensure your medical care preferences are respected when you can’t communicate them yourself. This way, you get the treatment you want, even if you can’t ask for extra cheese.

BENEFICIARY DESIGNATIONS: TAGGING YOUR SLICES

Beneficiary designations are like labeling slices of pizza for specific people. Your retirement accounts, life insurance policies, and even some investments allow you to name beneficiaries directly. It’s a simple way to make sure specific assets go to the right person without the extra paperwork.

GUARDIANSHIP:

WHO GETS THE MINI-PIZZAS?

If you have children under 18, estate planning is like making sure the mini pizzas (your kids) are taken care of if you’re not around. Naming a guardian in your will is crucial. It’s like picking the best babysitter ever—someone you trust to raise your kids with the same love and care you would. Without this, the court might choose someone for you, and they might not know your kids’ favorite toppings (or anything else about them).

CONCLUSION:

PLAN

TODAY,

RELAX TOMORROW Estate planning might seem daunting but think of it as ordering your favorite pizza in advance for a party. By planning now, you ensure everyone gets their favorite slice, and no one goes home hungry. Plus, you’ll have peace of mind knowing your loved ones will be spared from any financial food fights.

So, roll up your sleeves, channel your inner pizza chef, and start crafting your estate plan. Your future self—and your family—will thank you.

Neighbors Hello Neighbor!

HI, MY NAME IS… John R. Solema.

I’VE LIVED IN PEORIA FOR OVER FOUR YEARS AND I LOVE IT BECAUSE… of the parks, cleanliness, safety, and the convenient location to get to places in the east and west.

A TYPICAL DAY IN MY LIFE INCLUDES… prayer time, getting our kids ready for school, texting my wife “have a great day, I love you,” checking emails, doing four to five lessons at The Pickleball Space, picking up the kids, bringing them to their activities, and enjoying a home cooked dinner with my family.

MY FAMILY IS… built on faith as we love, learn, laugh, cry, and grow together. They are my heart and home.

ONE THING I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT IS… our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

MY FAVORITE MOVIE I COULD NEVER GET TIRED OF WATCHING AND WHY… “Avengers: Endgame” because it’s about good and evil, and good always wins at the end.

WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, I WANTED TO BE… an actor and I pursued it, caught it, then let it go! Maybe it will come back again.

THE SONG I WOULD SING AT KARAOKE NIGHT IS… “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen.

THE ONE PERSON WHO MOTIVATES ME IS… my wife, Camille. She just knows the buttons and mind set to get me going and moving.

THE LAST THING THAT MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD WAS… during a pickleball game with my wife. I get a kick out of her trying her hardest to beat me!

THE PERFECT DAY IS… a day with my family, making breakfast, attending church, and doing a cardio/yoga workout at the gym. This would be followed by a hearty lunch, then a solid nap to wake up ready for pickleball at The Pickleball Space!

MY FAVORITE LOCAL NONPROFIT IS… CCV Church and the programs they have for the Valley and international missions. They teach God’s message in simple terms to help bring this complex world to Christ.

MY LIFE IS… blessed through its ups and downs and successes and failures. It is ever fulfilling and never boring, relentlessly going after God’s purpose and passion for me.

THE BEST GIFT I’VE EVER RECEIVED WAS… being

a father to our pet Havanese and our two beautiful children. I am grateful to have them in my life.

MY DREAM VACATION WOULD BE… to have a tour of the Pacific Islands and enjoy the cool breezes, soft sand, and calm waters.

THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE I’VE EVER RECEIVED IS… “Take it easy!” My youth had some tough times, challenging moments, and as hard as I worked on improving and developing myself , these three words reminded me to pause, breathe, and rest, for tomorrow is another day.

Entertainment Movie Reviews and Upcoming Release Dates

“Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga”

The story of Furiosa, from her being taken from her home to the creation of the imperator that she would become in the wasteland.

After 45 years, George Miller still manages to surprise with his action series “Mad Max,” smartly doing something different from Fury Road. In tone, edit, action, all of it; “Furiosa” is a haunting story, like an old Greek tale of determination and vengeance in a brutal world. Furiosa is played by two actresses at different ages, and in both performances, you can feel the trauma, pain, and rage that accompany this character who’s trapped. The filmmaking concurs with that, with editing and pacing that are more patient than “Fury Road’s” constant movement, but never boring. It’s a slow burn that builds up to an appropriate climax. Along the way, the action is astonishing but more brutal in a way

that harkens back to the original film. There’s nothing else like “Furiosa” this month, and we are lucky to live in a time like it.

“In a Violent Nature”

A demonic killer is revived after a group of campers steal one of his possessions.

It’s hard to tell if this is a case of missed potential or pushing an idea too far. “A Violent Nature” has a lot of lovely imagery and creative kills with incredible gore. But beyond that, there’s little to offer here. For all the talk of this being from the killer’s POV, it doesn’t give much characterization to him, even in a physical sense. The little that there is comes off as rather stereotypical or as traditional exposition. Everyone else is exactly what you expect from this type of movie, but more unlikable. Its slow pace lacks the tension needed to captivate the audience, making it feel quite monotonous.. By the end, it feels like it is trolling the audience, and not in a good way.

“The Watchers”

A young woman becomes trapped with a group of strangers in the Irish woodland, who have to entertain the mysterious force that has taken them.

Ishana Night Shyamalan has taken many good cues from her well-known father, but “The Watchers” also shows that she has taken on her own identity. Through many classic film zooms and modern techniques, there’s an uneasy sense throughout the film that captures the entrapped feeling. There’s also a sense that they are going mad, with the whole cast delivering in a way that you would expect from people trapped for longer than they remember. The film is let down a bit by a script that works for the most part but has bad cases of exposition dumping and explaining too much. But even then, with the way it loves its characters, its sincerity, and its

tense atmosphere, it comes together. It’s a great introduction to Ms. Shyamalan and makes you want to see what she delivers next.

ON NETFLIX

A school teacher who does part-time work as a fake hit man finds himself breaking protocol for a woman he becomes infatuated with.

Charisma and sensuality best describe Richard Linklater’s latest — a cool and funny film that’s only hindered by one aspect: the rather pedestrian directing. The blocking of actors and overall imagery fail to match the film’s tone and mood. However, beyond that, it’s hard to find a flaw here. The chemistry between Glen Powell and Adria Arjona is immaculate, and the comedic timing is on point. The cast meshes perfectly with the script, with everyone, including the smallest characters, cast correctly. It’s the type of movie that’s for everyone but doesn’t aim to tick every box. A good time for all, funny and at the right times scary.
