Barro’s & Dr. Pepper's $10,000 Tuition Giveaway Returns Applications for the prize money now open.

Barro’s Pizza is once again joining hands with Dr. Pepper to grant $10,000 to one Arizona resident through the 2023 Barro’s Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway. The prize aims to support a student's college expenses. Through December 17 of this year, entrants can text BARROS to 737737 for a chance to win the tuition award.

"Our partnership showcases our mutual commitment to fostering young talent," says Bruce Barro, Barro’s Pizza owner. "Each year, we're proud to collaborate with Dr. Pepper to provide $10,000 to a deserving student, helping them focus on academics without financial stress. Community support is at the heart of our family and business values."

Barro’s Pizza is a family-owned and operated pizza restaurant with 48 locations in Maricopa, Pima and Pinal counties. The Barro’s Pizza recipe comes from Grandma Angelina Barro who came from Italy in the 1930s, making a pizza unlike any other. People may disagree on whether it's the thick crust with its light, flakey texture, or the tangy and sweet spiced sauce that is the secret of this great tasting pizza. Barro’s Pizza also offers wings, salads, sandwiches, pasta, glutenfree pizza options, dessert, beer and wine.

Since its inception in 2012, the Barro’s Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway has granted $105,000 to Arizona students. Eligibility includes Arizona residents 17 years and above who are or will be attending a qualified institution. A random draw will determine the winner from text entries. Prize money can be used for tuition, books, or settling student loan debts.
