SUN HEALTH FOUNDATION’S 5K FOR WOMEN’S HEALTH

When: Sept. 9 – Sept. 24 Where: Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe St., Phoenix What: A group of corporate consultants are called back to the home offi ce and tasked to ideate this scenario: A global pandemic will soon kill over a million people; how do we dispose of the bodies without causing mass panic? Written in 2013, Aaron Loeb’s darkly comic thriller presciently peers into the corporate-speak world as the lines between right and wrong are blurred. 911 TOWER CHALLENGE

When: Sept. 10 Where: Gila River Arena, 9400 W. Maryland, Glendale What: Hundreds of fi rst responders and their supporters will climb 2,071 stairs, the same number of stairs as it took to get to the top of one of the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers. The annual 911 Tower Challenge honors the fi rst responders who gave their lives on Sept. 11, 2011. Registration is $45. Proceeds benefi t the 100 Club of Arizona.
