ARIZONA BLACK RODEO

Pima Rd. in Scottsdale What: In 2019, the Arizona Black Rodeo — highlighting local and national African American rodeo competitors — drew thousands of enthusiastic rodeo fans. In 2021, there will be two shows (1 and 7 p.m.) featuring bull riding, tie down roping, steer wrestling, steer undecorating, ladies barrel racing, relay races and the crowd favorite mutton bustin’ and calf scramble for the little ones. For 10 days, diners can enjoy specially dedicated menus designed to showcase the true culinary talent that exists within the state — from the finest five-star restaurants to locally owned and chef-driven “hidden gems.” During the event, participating restaurants offer culinary adventurers a unique tasting opportunity in addition to their regular menus, featuring three-course prixfixe menus for just $33 or $44 per person. Wine pairings to enhance each course are offered at some establishments for an additional cost. Menus are available for dine-in as well as to-go.
