Misuse can result in sudden and permanent hearing loss.

•Never put your hearing instrument or batteries in your mouth for any reason, since they could be swallowed. lf a battery or instrument is swallowed, call the National Button Battery Hotline (202-625-3333) immediately and see a doctor.

•Never change the hearing aid battery in front of infants, small children and persons of mental incapacity. Discard or recycle batteries carefully in a place where they cannot be reached by infants, small children and persons of mental incapacity.

•Never allow others to wear your hearing instrument, as it could be misused and permanently damage another’s hearing. •Hearing instruments may stop functioning, for instance, if the battery goes dead. You should be aware of this possibility, especially when you are in traffic or otherwise depend on warning sounds.

•A hearing instrument may cause an accelerated accumulation of earwax or skin irritation that may require consultation with a physician.

•ln rare cases, the otherwise non-allergenic material may cause a discharge from the ear or allergic reaction. See a physician immediately if these conditions occur.

•lf you experience discomfort or irritation of your ear please see your physician.
