EFR was founded on March 10th 1925 and is the official faculty association of the Erasmus School of Economics (ESE). EFR aims to provide activities for students to complement their studies. The EFR-Charity Game, the EFR-Almanak (yearbook), the EFR-Business Week and the EFR-EuroTour are some of the EFR-Activities that you might recognise. These are however only a few of the many events set up by EFR. This brochure provides you with an overview of all committees that are run by students like you at EFR and offers you a small insight in the organization of the most dynamic, professional and fun student association of the Netherlands.

As an EFR active member you are part of a committee and responsible for all organizational aspects of your committee’s events.

There are fun events for everyone, ranging from social activities such as parties and study trips to ambitious and more academic oriented events such as the EFR-Business Week.

EFR is a study association and it is not a fraternity. It is certainly possible to combine your committee work with your hobbies, studies, and even membership at a fraternity!

It is very valuable to join a committee and become an active member. As part of a committee you obtain skills that are not taught in class and you gain a valuable experience that will enrich your curriculum vitae. Moreover, as an active member, you are given the possibility to participate in trainings such as cold calling, cv training, and more that sharpen your skills and prepare you for later.

EFR guarantees you a fun and fantastic year! It is one of the oldest, most professional and renowned faculty associations of the Netherlands. At EFR, you are surrounded by young, ambitious, and exciting students, who enjoy working together and party with new friends. The EFR-Culture is unique and one you should definitely experience!

EFR is looking to prolong the success of its participation in the Harvard World Model United Nations (MUN), which was organized in The Hague. The EFREPIC committee is responsible for several activities for students with an interest in international affairs, with as main goal a sufficient preparation for participation in the MUN.

Na het grote succes van vorig jaar in Den Haag, wil de EFR doorgaan met het sturen van delegaties naar de Harvard World Model United Nations (MUN). De EFR-EPIC commissie is verantwoordelijk voor het organiseren van activiteiten voor studenten met interesses op het gebied van buitenlandse betrekkingen met als hoofddoel de MUN delegatie een goede voorbereiding te bieden voor MUN.

Erasmus Recruitment Days are organized every year by EFR and STAR. The ERD is the largest on-campus recruitment event in the Benelux. You will work together in a team of eight students to make the ERD even better and more successful than the previous years.

The EFR-Network Team has the task of maintaining and improving EFR’s relations with corporations, embassies and governmental institutions. The EFR-Network Team is assigned certain organisations each year.

Help manage EFR’s network and develop your own networking skills.
