BOARDING
It has been a vibrant and engaging week within our boarding community, with several moments that truly reflect the warmth, spirit, and diversity of life at school.
We were delighted to welcome a group of international agents to our site, offering them the opportunity to tour our boarding facilities and gain a deeper understanding of the environment our pupils call home. These visits play an important role in strengthening global connections and showcasing the distinctive care, culture, and opportunities our boarding programme provides
Our Girls’ Lantern Confession Chapel Service offered a meaningful moment of stillness and reflection. The gentle glow of lanterns created a serene atmosphere, allowing pupils a chance to pause, connect, and share in a calm and thoughtful space an annual highlight that continues to nurture both community and personal wellbeing.
Around the grounds, our resident ducks have remained a charming presence, happily roaming and adding their usual touch of character to campus life Their familiar waddles are often a welcome sight for pupils and staff alike.
As the season shifts, we have noticed a change in the tone of our mornings and evenings Cooler air and softer light have brought a new beauty to the grounds, reminding us all of the rhythms of school life and the natural world around us.
It has been a week filled with connection, reflection, and the small but meaningful moments that make boarding life so special
Our last weekend before the boarders leave at the End of term - we are off to London again - The girls favourite place to sight see!
NUERODIVERSITY CELEBRATION WEEK
Neurodiversity Celebration Week (16–22 March 2026) is a worldwide initiative aimed at transforming how neurodivergent individuals are perceived, focusing on strengths rather than just challenges. Founded in 2018 by Siena Castellon, it encourages schools, universities, and workplaces to foster inclusive, equitable environments for people with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other neurological differences Students took part in insightful PHSE and Learning Support sessions and made discoveries on their 'Inclusive Learning' Pupil Portal - led by two key members of our inclusion team. Audrey Moncrieffe, SENCO and Head of Learning Support, delivered an engaging talk on understanding and embracing diverse learning profiles and neuroinclusive practice. Anna Burgess, our Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Officer and Head of PHSE, spoke about creating a school culture where every student feels valued, supported and raising the profile of diverse skills and talents. Together, their sessions encouraged students to celebrate differences, build empathy, and recognise the strengths that neurodivergence brings to our community.

Faith Discussion Evening
On Wednesday, a Faith Discussion Evening was held at St Teresa’s We were delighted to welcome Fr Toby Lees, Fiorella Nash, and Fr Charles Benoit, who spoke about the changing landscape of AI and what St Francis can teach us as we navigate these times of rapid transformation It was a truly inspiring evening one that reminded us both of who we are and who we are called to be.
Two ideas particularly stood out for me The first was the question: Who are we becoming? In an age when AI seems to make so many things easier, we should remember that our identity is not defined by what we do, but by the people we are becoming The second was the importance of attention what we give it to, and how essential it is to be fully present with one another
We look forward to welcoming you to the next Faith Discussion Evening!

This Week
A reading from the Gospel of John
As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world ”
Reflection
In the Gospels, Jesus shows a special love for those who are sick, vulnerable, or suffering. He heals the blind, comforts the dying, and treats every person with dignity and compassion. Catholic Social Teaching calls us to reflect that same love especially for those who are ill or in need of care.
Across the world, many Catholic charities make this mission visible today. Organisations such as Caritas Internationalis, St Vincent de Paul and many religious orders who serve in hospitals, clinics, care homes, and communities where people struggle with illness or poverty. Their work is humble, practical, and deeply rooted in faith.
Prayer
Loving God,
We thank you for all Catholic charities and caregivers who bring healing, comfort, and dignity to the sick. Bless those who work in hospitals, care homes, and medical missions across the world. Give them strength, patience, and compassion. We pray for all who are ill today may they know your peace and your presence.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
