This Week’s Headlines:

We came together to celebrate Values Week with a variety of activities that filled the week, all based around the core values of our school.

On Tuesday, the Year 7 Floreat project took place. Our pupils put together their own popup stalls visited by other year groups and parents. They were excellently created by the girls, with fancy advertisement boards and decorations. Well done to everyone who took part The annual Aquathlon event was held at St Teresa’s We welcomed 9 other schools including our friends at Cranmore and Manor House to partake in swimming and running events. It was a joy to see so many schools come together for the occasion. Everyone who competed did amazingly well.

Throughout the week, a great number of events and activities have been taking place across the school, some include busking, staff vs pupils rounders, house of games and much more, many members of staff and pupils have put a lot of effort into organising and hosting them which is massively appreciated, Values Week was a massive success thanks to all of you. Have a great weekend!

TRUST TRIP - LIFE OF CHRIST

On Wednesday 17th June pupils across the Trust took part in a whole day visit to see the Life of Christ. Pupils mentioned how it brought the life of Christ to Life and had the wow factor with real horses and animals The whole day was a great success and a celebration of Faith In being together as a Trust we saw that Christ is with us, in new friendships formed and in experiencing things together.

We are delighted to share that St Teresa's Effingham pupil, Kaitlyn C, will be appearing in YESPA's production of We Will Rock You at the Chequer Mead Theatre, East Grinstead, this August. We are incredibly proud of Kaitlyn's achievement and wish her every success in the production

COMPASSION

To celebrate Values Week, Harrisons Catering produced an amazing dessert display centred around the value of Compassion Their creative and thoughtful display was enjoyed by both pupils and staff and helped bring this important value to life. Thank you Harrisons!

FLOREAT PROJECT

YEAR 7 QUIZ

Our Year 7 pupils from across the Trust came together for an annual quiz, creating a fantastic opportunity for pupils from all three schools to connect, make new friends and enjoy some friendly competition

They had the opportunity to work with other pupils in the Trust through a variety of rounds in order to be crowned quiz champions!

VALUES WEEK

This Week

A reading from the Gospel of Matthew

The harvest is rich but the labourers are few

When Jesus saw the crowds he felt sorry for them because they were harassed and dejected, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is rich but the labourers are few, so ask the Lord of the harvest to send labourers to his harvest ’

He summoned his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits with power to cast them out and to cure all kinds of diseases and sickness

Reflection

At the heart of this passage is the compassion of Christ He does not first organise or instruct He sees.

He sees people “harassed and dejected, like sheep without a shepherd.” This image speaks of spiritual lostness and vulnerability: people lacking guidance, protection, and hope Let us this week aim to have eyes that are open to the needs of others and recognise more fully the gift and needs of the other.

Let us pray.

Lord Jesus,

You looked upon the crowds and your heart was moved with compassion. You saw the lost, the weary, and the searching, and you called others to share in your mission.

Lord of the harvest,

Help us to have generous hearts able to serve and love the other.

Amen.
