With some wonderful weather at RAF Lossiemouth, the cadets enjoyed a wide range of activities, from bowling to surfing, as well as visiting the Morayvia Aviation Museum. They were also ver y fortunate to be able to access many sections of the base. They were shown around the Poseidon and Typhoon aircraft, as well as meeting the RAF Police dogs. At the fire section, they were able to climb onto the vehicles and use the hoses. The Air Traffic Control tower was particularly impressive, as they were able to watch a Typhoon land. They also had the opportunity to visit the Army armour y and see the various types of firearms that it held.

Prep School News Dear Parents, What a delight it was to welcome your daughter’s into school on Thursday morning both familiar faces from last year and our new star ters. By morning break, it was as if they had not been par ted for eight long weeks. It was lovely to see the girls enjoying break time on the equipment by the pool and engaging in creative play with their charac teristic enthusiasm and creativity. The staff and I are thoroughly excited about the year ahead. The girls are enjoying the responsibilities of being Year 6 and some of the new processes in place this year like attending Whole School assembly. Next week, we are looking forward to welcoming as many of you as can make it to our ‘Meet the Teacher’ event on Monday 7 t h September at 5pm. Like the last two years, we will gather together for refreshments and a few brief words from myself before separating off into relevant classes and meeting with your teacher to hear about the year ahead: curriculum, assessments, topics, trips and more. We have our class and indivudal photographs on Thursday morning before break, so please do help your daughter to arrive looking her best. The week commencing 21 s t September is Languages Week and we are looking forward to be involved in all things linguistic - I am hopeful it involves tasting cuisines from around the world. The following week we have our Mass for the Feast of St Therese on Thursday 1 s t Oc tober and the next day, Friday 2 n d Oc tober, is the Year 6 Open Morning event, please watch out for fur ther communication related to that event, which is an excellent time to tour the Senior School and have early discussion about secondar y school. A reading from the Gospel of Matthew Fear Not “So have no fear of them, for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apar t from your Father. And even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Ref lection In this passage, Jesus speaks direc tly to the human hear t: “Do not be afraid.” Three times He repeats this message, as if knowing how deeply fear can take root within us. We fear rejec tion, suffering, misunderstanding, and even loss. Yet Christ calls us to a different way—a life grounded not in fear, but in trust. We all face fears, anxieties, and worries; it is par t of our human experience. But faith is the remedy. Knowing that Jesus is with us and that He loves us can give us the peace we need. Prayer Heavenly Father, You know us completely and love us without measure. You see ever y detail of our lives, and You hold us gently in Your care. When we are afraid, remind us of Your presence. When we feel small or forgotten, help us remember that we are precious in Your sight. Amen. Get interested in Catholic Social Teaching Pope Leo’s New Encyclical Explained
