Prep Chronicle YOUR ESSENTIAL ROUND-UP FOR THE WEEK COMMENCING 29 JUNE 2026 Message from the Head of Prep It seems only yesterday that we began the academic year, yet in the blink of an eye another school year has passed. An extraordinary amount has been accomplished over the past three terms, and this week has been no exception. Over the weekend, our wonderful CPA hosted a fantastic Crancamp event, and by Monday the focus had shifted to Sports Day. From Reception through to Year 6, pupils competed across two mornings, with Borelli ultimately emerging as this year’s champions. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success, particularly after last week’s extreme heat led to its postponement. Perhaps the most heartening aspect of both events was the way our children supported one another. Regardless of House affiliation, they cheered each other on, celebrated successes, and offered encouragement and consolation when things did not go quite to plan. This spirit of kindness, teamwork and mutual respect is something of which we can all be very proud. Trips and visits have continued into the final week of term. Year 6 enjoyed a ramble through the Surrey Hills, Reception spent time at St Teresa’s Equestrian Centre, and we were delighted to welcome author and illustrator Zehra Hicks, who led an inspiring afternoon of talks and workshops. Our Cups and Awards assemblies have provided a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the many achievements of our children. As the academic year draws to a close, we also look ahead with excitement to all that next year will bring. The children are already sharing what they are most looking forward to, from milestones such as receiving their own homework diaries to larger adventures, including residential trips. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to making Cranmore such a special place this year. Your support, commitment and enthusiasm help create the vibrant and caring community that makes our school unique. I wish all Cranmore families a happy, restful and enjoyable summer break.
