Paper Flurries celebrates the unique shapes of hand-cut snowflakes that were created by our team at Maywood Studio. Over 50 unique snowflakes were cut during a series of afternoon workshops. These paper cuts were then exposed with a traditional cyanotype process to create a variety of patterns. The resulting crystal forms, rich color saturation, and textured backgrounds were used to create the artwork for the beautiful textiles in the Paper Flurries collection.
The idea for Maywood Studio Workshop collections was born from our desire to work with our hands and the creative spark we get from collaboration. We encourage you to experiment and add your unique style and design ideas to projects using the methods we share in our Workshop collections.
