SPOOKY • HAUNTED • DARK
Dark Moon explores the mysterious side of Halloween, where spooky trees and flying bats fill the midnight sky and black cats linger among thorny roses. Detailed line drawings and engravings add a nod to the Victorian era with spell books, old clocks, ornate frames, ironwork, and other shadowy details. A dramatic palette of black and deep, moody tones captures the secrets of the night with just a hint of the macabre. Dark Moon is delivering to shops in May 2027.

WINTERY • CRAFTY • CURATED Frosty Friends by Robin Kingsley of Bird Brain Designs celebrates the charm of classic Bluework and cheerful winter scenes. Frolicking snowmen bundled in winter hats and scarves mingle with snowflakes, sweet birds, and hand-stitched designs in a range of blues from soft powder blue to deep navy. The whimsical artwork and cool winter palette are ideal for cozy quilts, embroidery projects, and seasonal sewing. Frosty Friends is delivering to shops in June 2027.
ROBIN KINGSLEY “Ruler of the Roost” at Bird Brain Designs, Robin is well-known for her charming and whimsical redwork embroidery—a passion she’s shared for over 50 years—and she hasn’t put down the needle yet! From her beginnings teaching crewel embroidery in a Davis, CA shop, Robin opened her first business, The Sampler, and eventually relocated to the east coast where she spent many years designing for the needlework industry. After her kids were grown, Robin returned home to California and, along with her two sisters, opened a Sonoma gift shop, Three Sisters, which they ran together for six wonderful years. Robin now designs patterns for Bird Brain Designs along with her sister, Tina (“Keeper of the Coop”) who tends the store. The storefront, in downtown Kelseyville, CA, showcases their popular embroidery, applique and needle felting designs on stitched pillows, tea towels, wall hangings, quilts and more all displayed on vintage tables and cupboards.
