Cut

From each of the 6 fabrics - cut 1 8½”x 21” strip Sub-cut each into 3 6½”x 8½” - only 16 total are used Contrast - cut 2 6½” strips Background - cut 15 2½” strips from 4 of these strips, sub-cut a total of 16 2½”x 8½”

Sew

Make 2 strip sets with a 6½” contrast and a 2½” background. Sub-cut into a total of 32 2½”x 8½” sections. Add a section to the right side of 16 6½”x 8½” prints. Then add a section to the bottom as shown to make blocks. Lay out blocks 4 x 4 for sewing. Rows will be sewn vertically, after adding 2½”x 8½” background. On rows 1 & 3, add a 2½”x 8½” background strip to the bottom of each block before making rows. On rows 2 & 4, add a 2½”x 8½” background strip to the top. Sew the rows together with 2½” strips in between rows. Add border all around of 2½” background.
