Some of the class topics include techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, pain; effective communication; tips for maintaining nutritional and physical health; medications; communication; and new treatments. Memorial Hospital, along with Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC), is offering a support group for individuals and their family, friends and other caregivers who have been affected by Alzheimer’s disease, or a related dementia or memory problem.
