eduthing has transformed the IT at our one form entry primary school. A complete overhaul of the infrastructure, hardware and software has meant staff can work far more effectively and efficiently at school and at home; and most importantly, technology is now regularly used across the curriculum to support the children’s learning. The introduction of Chromebooks has transformed the way in which technology is used in lessons. Children engage in their learning through safe, easy and reliable devices and the children absolutely love them! eduthing has been brilliant at any technical support that the school has needed- either remotely or in school, the service is very friendly, professional and helpful. Any issues are resolved quickly.

If you want expert, flexible, forward looking support for your IT needs, then I would suggest you look no further than eduthing. On top of the invaluable help desk (where any day to day issues are quickly dealt with) we have had support with: new servers; extending Wi-Fi access; installation of CCTV; roll out of google classroom and Chromebooks; roll out of Office 365; setting up our digital printer network; procurement of interactive screens, PCs, iPads and Chromebooks (all at very competitive prices) and the benefit of experts who listen to our needs and are proactive in suggesting solutions.

eduthing had inherited and supported since uptake in April, an archaic server setup. As we are a multi-site primary school (historically 3 independent schools that amalgamated in 2011) there were a number of physical servers and domains across the sites. This meant that we had no easily accessible central storage for all staff as well as meaning that staff who worked across multiple sites had different logins for each site.

eduthing have been highly responsive and incredibly supportive to our school with our IT provision, which has been ever more significant during lockdown where we have been supporting pupils remotely alongside those in school. We continue to be impressed with our designated field engineer and the Chief Operating Officer, who are both flexible, proactive and extremely knowledge and who approach every task with a positive can-do attitude. We have been delighted with the rapid and responsive support we have received from the company during a wide range of situations, these have been dealt with effectively and efficiently. eduthing are able to provide creative solutions to a broad spectrum of issues. We feel completely supported with our IT infrastructure, even when inevitable issues have occurred. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend eduthing as a IT support provider for other schools.

The impact this project has had is immeasurable. Staff no longer have to wait 20 minutes for machines to start up and login, have access to data from whichever site they are on and also now have the option of accessing the network remotely if working from home. Where snagging issues were raised following the rebuild, a team of technicians were sent to each of the sites and these were quickly and sufficiently rectified. We now have a network and computers that staff, teachers, support and admin, can rely on and who don’t fear things going wrong with their IT during their lessons. The difference in the support that we continue to have, compared to our previous provider, is immeasurable.

We cannot fault the support provided by eduthing. All staff take ownership of problems and stick with them through to resolution rather than them being passed around, which ultimately means issues are resolved quicker and with less input required from staff. They also have a real understanding of how a school works and that staff are not IT experts and try to find cost effective solutions that best fit staff and school requirements. We were unhappy with the service we were receiving from our current IT supplier and after looking around we made contact with eduthing via the Everything ICT framework. We were really impressed from the start and after receiving positive testimonials from some of their current schools customers we signed up with them from September 2021. Since joining we have been very pleased with the service we have received from them. Their helpdesk staff are always friendly and knowledgeable and any IT issues we have are dealt with swiftly. Unfortunately we suffered a cyber-attack in November 2021 which caused huge disruption to the school. However, from the very start the staff at eduthing provided excellent support from when they initially arrived at school through to getting us back up and running as quickly as possible. We have found all the staff knowledgeable from a technical point of view as well as understanding how schools operate and the challenges we face.

We appointed eduthing as our IT consultants in April this year and have been very pleased with the service so far. The ethos of the company conveyed by the Chief Executive Officer during the tender process and the Chief Operating Officer during our initial meeting was exactly what we were looking for. The support team are always friendly and helpful and will be persistent when trying to resolve the issues within our technology. Our print release software was a particular nightmare, but eduthing did not give up and we now have a solution.

Our system is in need of updating and we look forward very much to the outcome of the recent IT audit and working with eduthing to improve hardware, speeds of data and our working practices.

The Weald was up until recently a school in serious weaknesses, but thanks to a total review and implementation of a new curriculum offer for children we are now in a much better place! Part of this process has involved Liam Buggs supporting our new computing curriculum roll out. Liam has been superb in providing strategic support as well as ‘hands on’ subject knowledge development for teachers. This has accelerated the implementation of the computing curriculum and has allowed all teachers to feel much more confident when teaching challenging concepts such as programming and coding. Following an extensive tender process, we selected eduthing to deliver a managed IT service at St Matthew’s. With a number of providers in the sector, it was crucial that we partnered with a forward thinking company to help devise a strategy to update our ageing IT infrastructure and classroom technology. Their educational experience and knowledge was key to ensure we invested our budget wisely, with maximum impact and to best support teaching and learning.

Having eduthing as our IT Service Provider is simply amazing - no problem is too big or too small and they have totally transformed our IT Infrastructure and Curriculum provision. Since they have introduced the Curriculum service Liam provides, we have also been able to totally review our Computing and Online Safety provision and Liam has been able to work with me to complete a ‘mock’ Ofsted deep-dive which has been invaluable - he was able to reivew our Computing provision and even help me to introduce assessment strategies that staff are happy and able to use! eduthing are the third managed service provider I have had in Ash Manor School since I became headteacher and they stand head and shoulders above the others. They invested a considerable amount of time at the start of the contract ensuring that our system was dramatically improved and in less than a year the provision in the school is significantly better for staff and students. Having made the decision to roll out a Chromebook 1:1 scheme for September 2020 late into the summer term 2020, eduthing did a brilliant job in supporting the school too implement the scheme in a timely and effective manner. They helped in a range of different ways, producing materials for the promotion of the scheme all the way through to the careful managed handing out of the hardware at the start of the new term. This was a complex roll out that was fraught with many different challenges; however, eduthing were there to help us at every step of the way, ensuring the project was a great success.

We are delighted with our upgraded CCTV system installed by eduthing. The pictures are crystal clear and we can log in from any computer or via an app on our smart phones. The software is fairly straightforward to navigate and you can look at multiple views at one time or just concentrate on one camera. You can take stills as evidence and it has already been very useful, catching some silly behaviour from some rather red faced pupils.

The actual installation was quick and efficient. The engineers were very pleasant and worked closely with us to ensure we ended up with the best coverage of our site. They also provided and installed all appropriate signage so we had nothing to worry about.

Since its incorporation eduthing has provided Tiffin School with IT infrastructure management and IT strategy development, together with operational technical support and oversight of our student Chromebook scheme. They have provided an incredibly reliable service to the School throughout and are always prepared to go that ‘extra mile‘ if any network issues arise.

Students and staff have been able to use office 365 effectively to deliver live lessons for months. Initially, upon appointment, eduthing took time to understand the context of our school and then ensured that frustrating, recurring, short - term problems were eliminated. IT at Blenheim has ran smoothly and problem free for some time now and this has led to eduthing being encouraged to make recommendations as to how IT could be developed in the medium term.

Thank you for the recent virtual training session which was really engaging, partly because it was so focused and not trying to cover too many aspects. We have had quite a bit of cyber security training before, but the fake phishing exercise really brought home just how easy it is to be taken in – especially if the name of a colleague and an organisation we work with all the time is used to create the bogus source email address. The tips on creating strong passwords were helpful too – again we have all heard this before but the specific examples were really useful and we all need reminding how important it is to do all this even though it can be EXTREMELY frustrating when we then can’t readily access our own accounts!

As part of our strategic IT plan, we looked to streamline the number of external IT partners who were supporting schools across the Trust and eduthing were appointed as the IT partner for five of our seven schools following a competitive tender process. The Trust values the combination of IT expertise and strategic support which eduthing brings to our partnership. Each school supported by eduthing has benefitted from a detailed strategic review of systems, hardware and operational issues. These strategic reviews have enabled the schools and Trust to prioritise IT investment across systems, operating platforms and hardware renewal in a planned and strategic approach. This has dovetailed with our budgeting processes enabling us to plan proactively for our IT investment across a three -five year period. Since partnering with eduthing we have found our IT support from eduthing to have been second to none; they have continually delivered excellent value for money, around the clock, and maintain a prompt and professional service. Being a school, we are relying increasingly upon our IT capabilities – not just as a discrete taught subject on the timetable – but as the backbone for the majority of our classroom learning. We engage an onsite eduthing field engineer two mornings a week who assists with technical issues arising from printer failure, to server errors, user issues and interactive white board problems.

As well as having invaluable input and assistance into our growing list of medium plan, and long-term ambitions for the IT in school. Our Onsite Engineer tackles everything that is thrown at him with an unfailing sense of humour and quiet determination to get the job done. Over the last year he, and the team at eduthing HQ, have worked ‘above and beyond’ to ensure our staff and students can readily access homeschooling. As a result, our online programme was rolled out smoothly at the start of the spring 2020 national lockdown.
