Dallas TX is a unique and culturally diverse city! It is the heart of the great state Texas! This year, ETC had 6 students in the greater Dallas area. Dallas is a large metropolis with wonderful rolling green hills surrounding the city. Our students have enjoyed various activities throughout this year, such as attending a Cowboys Football game, and a Mavericks Basketball game. In addition, there are wonderful museums, and historical monuments, such as the John F. Kennedy Memorial, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, just to name a few. In the Dallas area there are amusement parks such as Six Flags Over Texas, LEGOLAND Discovery Center, and Galleria Indoor Skating Park. Our students have had the opportunity to visit other areas of Texas with their host families, such as Houston and Austin TX. Both are only a short drive from Dallas. Our students in Dallas area high school have had the opportunity to participate in school sports such as volleyball, tennis and track. Band and orchestra are offered as well.

“My Name is Gaia, I am an exchange student from Italy and for the past 7 months I have been living in Rockwall TX. This is really close to Downtown Dallas, one of the biggest cities around TX. Living just 20 minutes from such a big center is awesome! Around the city you can find huge malls, where you can have fun shopping, or you can even go ice skating at the Galleria. Moreover, in the downtown you can find different museum attraction as the Perot Museum, the aquarium, the JFK Museum and many more, But, my favorite part is the Tex-Mex food! It is delicious around here! In other words, I love living in Dallas, and couldn’t have wished for a better place to spend my exchange year!”
