This report provides a critical analysis of the degree to which ‘union renewal’ is present in ten unions from eight countries (Fiji, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Malaysia, the Philippines, the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu) in three sub-regions within the Asia-Pacific (South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Pacific) in the broader context of union renewal efforts in the education sector globally. Based on this analysis, a possible model of education union renewal is proposed for further development and consideration by selected EI affiliates.
