Code of Conduct for ILS under 18 students. EF NICE Class     

Attend minimum 80% of your lessons and arrive on time Don’t use other languages than French in class Participate actively in lessons and complete all homework Keep mobile phones switched off during lessons Speak French as much as possible with your friends outside class

School    

Respect others If you have a problem, tell a member of the EF staff Look after your own property: don’t leave your things unattended Please look after the school facilities: use the recycling and dust bins

Your Safety  Be home by 11 p.m. on weekdays and 12 p.m. on week-ends  Do not give out personal information to people you do not know  Avoid traveling alone and always go out in pairs or groups  Do not carry large amounts of cash nor your passport  Always keep the EF emergency number with you, and call if you need help in emergency.  Remember to be polite, ex. say Bonjour, Merci, Au revoir etc. at shops, cafés etc.  Be as quiet as you can when you return to your host family/residence at night so that you don’t disturb your neighbors Free Time  You must be present during the daily meals at the restaurant or at the host families. The rest of the time you are not under EF supervision. Pay extra attention to your belongings, to the time and how you be going back to the host family or the residence.  Get permission if you want to go out after dinner and always tell your host family or residence staff where you are going and who you are going with. You still need to respect the curfew.

Host Family  Give your host parents a copy of your timetable  Be respectful and polite, and participate as much as you can in the family life  Always call your host family if you are going to be late  Don’t waste energy and water Residence  Do not allow strangers into the residence  Do not change rooms without permission  If there is a fire alarm, leave the building calmly and don’t enter again until you have been told it is safe to do so  Keep noise to a minimum. Silence after 10 p.m.  Follow the rules posted at the residence Activities  Arrive on time  Listen to your leaders and follow their instructions. Be polite and respectful The Law  Follow national and local laws. Breaking of the law will result in expulsion from the program  Do not buy/consume alcohol or tobacco. All drugs are prohibited.
