• • • • • • • • • • • • •

Ideal course for: Students wanting to learn a language as quickly as possible for academic or professional reasons.

Description: Make maximum progress during your stay abroad. Highly recommended for serious students who need to learn a language as quickly as possible for academic reasons. Our highly structured syllabus, comprised of 32 morning and afternoon lessons a week (total tuition time of 21 hours and 20 minutes), will have you speaking and writing with confidence in the least amount of time.

Details: >> 14 general language lessons >> 6 general teacher-guided lessons in iLab >> 10 special interest classes (see list of examples to the right) >> 1 lecture (double lesson)

Why is EF Intensive our most popular course? Because not only do you maximize the amount that your language skills improve, you also gain valuable time to practice with fellow students. This extra interaction enables you to communicate in a natural way, faster than on other courses, and in the process form lasting friendships. How many weeks should students enroll for an EF Intensive Course? The longer you study, the more you will improve, guaranteed. That’s why students seeking advanced language skills enroll for a minimum of 3 to 6 weeks. Keep in mind that Intensive students make progress 25 to 50% faster. A 6-week course allows most students to advance one full level of ability, and many intensive students choose to achieve greater fluency with courses of 3 months or more.

Class Schedules and Duration of Lessons EF language lessons have a duration of 40 minutes, (except where stated otherwise on individual destination pages). It also provides coverage against interruption of the student’s EF course due to illness and includes Liability and Legal coverage. The cost of this insurance is $81 for the first two weeks, then $31 for each additional week. If the student does not wish to take this policy, they will need to provide EF with a copy in English of the alternative insurance policy they have taken out individually. Cancellations and Refund Policy All cancellations and terminations must be made in writing to the student’s nearest EF office, EF local representative or EF Center Director. In all cases the Enrollment Fee, the Courier Fee and the optional Cancellation Insurance premium are non-refundable. Cancellations The Course Fee comprises two 38 Call us 1 (877) 235-7895

For destinations in the United States: Same Day Cancellation Prior to the Start of Class: If an applicant accepted by EF enters the United States on an I-20 obtained through EF and subsequently cancels prior to the start of scheduled classes or never attends class, EF may retain: For a program of less than 12 weeks, all the tuition charges for up to four weeks, actual housing costs incurred by EF, and a maximum total of $500 for non-refundable charges including housing administration fees.
