We're supporting Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) to provide emergency relief to those in crisis-hit regions, from immediate response to longterm safeguards. The majority of our support goes to the MSF Academy for Healthcare, which provides local healthcare workers with hands-on training in essential skills, helping them provide high-quality care during and after crises.

1988 EF is the official language school of the Seoul Summer Olympics, EF's first of many Olympic appointments.

1998 EF sponsors two sailboats in the Whitbread Round the World Race, EF Language (which wins first place) and EF Education (the first female-only crew).
EF is founded in Sweden by Bertil Hult. He brought a group of Swedish students to Brighton, England. The idea was simple — they would learn English while traveling on holiday.
2009 The EF Research Lab for Applied Language Learning is established at the University of Cambridge’s Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics.
2010 The first Hult Prize takes place as a global competition that challenges students to solve the planet's most pressing issues through social entrepreneurship.
