EF English Proficiency Index & EF SET The world’s largest ranking of countries and regions

by English skills.

Certificate of Achievement EF Education First declares that

The EF English Proficiency Index (EF EPI) is the largest international survey of adult English skills. The annually updated index is calculated from the test results of 2.2 million non-native English speakers in 113 countries and regions around the world.

This vast database continues to track and highlight global trends regarding English language learning and can be used to compare your country’s English language proficiency with other countries around the world.

The test used to create this global benchmark is called the EF Standard English Test (EF SET), which is a free online English proficiency test developed by experts in the field of language assessment.

Our aim with the EF SET is to make language learning more relevant, accessible and immersive for students and language learners.

The research-backed test is specially designed to support individuals in developing and certifying their English proficiency at any given time.

Upon completion of the 50-minute English test, testtakers receive a personalized EF SET Certificate which can be easily uploaded to their resume or LinkedIn profile.

In response to the increasing demand from our language course students, a selection of EF Campuses in Barcelona, Dublin, London, Paris, Perth, Sydney, and Vancouver offer a service enabling young professionals to enter the labor market of another country.

Our EF Job Club provides best practice guidance on professional domains such as curriculum writing, mock interviews, networking, job application support, and more.

Through this, your students will have the unique opportunity to develop their language skills, discover a new environment, make international connections, and join a global workforce — all within the same program.

We also offer students the chance to combine their language studies abroad with a volunteer experience at a local organization, or while completing an internship at a professional company.

We believe total immersion is the faster way to learn a language, build a true international network, and make friends for life. That’s why our accredited global EF Campuses offer courses in 10 languages across 50 destinations around the world.

Our personalized, flexiblelength language courses start every Monday and span from 2 weeks to a full academic year. These scholarships involve flexible funding, ranging from partial to full tuition depending on project scope. Recipients are selected on a case-bycase basis in collaboration with the university, as a way of rewarding individual students and staff.
