Admission requirements Before being accepted to the program, you are required to take an admissions placement test. Successful applicants need to be at least a Level B2 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Results to be proud of At the end of your nine-month program, you’ll receive an EF Advanced Diploma, while on a six-month program you’ll receive an EF Advanced Certificate in English or French. This certificate will form part of your academic portfolio that proves your achievements to current and future universities and employers.

Business
EF Advanced Diploma in English for Business About English for Business Gain insight into today’s successful business practices while learning the trade language of the corporate world. This program is a combination of intensive English studies with a specialized business curriculum. Lessons are taught using the famous Harvard Business School case study methodology and cover topics such as global marketing, successful negotiation, public speaking, leadership development, decision-making, planning strategies, product development and conversation skills. Since 2019, part of the curriculum is taught by HULT International Business School professors. Graduating students can gain as many as nine university credits, which will fast-track their future in Higher Education by reducing their study time at university. Key Concepts of Business This module is a dynamic introduction to the world of business. Based on real life experiences, students can clearly see the relevance of business concepts in everyday life. Marketing
Business Writing
This class specifically develops students’ ability to understand the core concepts of marketing. It analyzes the relationship between value, satisfaction and quality while also looking at what affects and determines consumer behavior. What’s more, students will generate ideas for attracting, retaining and growing a customer base.
This course is designed to teach students about the various types of written communication in business. Students will practice different styles and levels of formality. They will also explore etiquette and appropriateness, process writing, questionnaires and how to deal with difficult situations.
Business Case Studies

You will examine real world business case studies, including company descriptions, problem identification, situation analysis and recommended action. You will also use various business tools, such as SWOT analysis, The Five Ms, the Porter Model, and basic financial calculations, to help with your analysis. At the same time, you will strengthen language skills, including reading comprehension, oral presentations, vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar. Entrepreneurship This class is designed to teach students how to create an Executive Summary for a new business. Working in teams, students will learn to present a 60-second elevator speech where a member of each team explains why an investor should invest in the group’s new business. Also, in addition to writing a proposal, students will create graphic designs to enhance their Executive Summary. Leadership and Management You will develop knowledge of successful leadership principles and management styles. You will learn how to analyze the strengths of business leaders and understand new developments in business management.

Photography Here, you will learn the basic techniques of digital photography. You will also experiment and expand your knowledge of photography, both in a historical and contemporary context. Journalism and Media Studies The course is designed to give you both a theoretical and practical foundation in professional journalism. The curriculum will enhance your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills so you will become more effective consumers and communicators of mass communication. We recommend New York for students with a special interest in journalism. Graphic Design Lectures, discussions and demonstrations will introduce you to key design terminology. The course looks at graphic design as a commercial art form, compositional elements and design principles, layout and software options, personal creative expression and visual problem-solving skills.

Global Governance Students will discuss the impact of globalization on our daily lives and the larger world order by studying two key events: the global financial recession of 2008 and the growing impact of terrorism and counterterrorism since 9/11. Lessons will focus on key issues surrounding international peace and security, arms control, sustainable development, climate change and saving the environment. The course will also look at human right implications, global pandemics and the UN responsibility to protect. Human Rights Through active discussions and activities, this course explores the historical development of human rights, the ramifications of universal human rights on sovereignty and development, and the role of the individual in global change. Regional Perspectives In this module students will analyze the changing relationships between nations from hostility, competition, and colonization to international cooperation.
