Nearly 98% of U.S. dairy farms are family owned & operated. ALL 50 states have dairy farms!

The U.S. produces ~227 BILLION pounds of milk each year.

Lone Star Citrus is located in the heart of the Texas Citrus industry in Mission, TX. Lone Star Citrus harvests all of their citrus by hand. “Boots on the ground.”

Grapefruit The official state fruit of Texas is the red grapefruit.
Rio Star & Ruby Sweet varieties of grapefruit are ONLY grown in Texas.
The majority of grapefruits grown in Texas are grown in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. Texas is home to around 27,000 acres of grapefruit trees. Grapefruit trees can grow to be up to 45 feet tall.

different varieties of grapefruits grown in the U.S. Grapefruits are harvested by hand. Grapefruits grow in clusters…like grapes! Grapefruit trees take 613 months to produce fruit.

Zucchini Zucchini can be grown anywhere throughout Texas. More specifically, zucchini is a type of summer squash. Zucchinis have MORE potassium than a banana. Zucchinis grow best in temperate climates.
Zucchini are made up of 95% water.
“Courgette” Zucchini are a type of FRUIT…closely related to melons.
1 zucchini plant can produce 3 - 10 pounds of zucchini.
Zucchinis are in peak season from May - August.
The flower of a zucchini plant is also edible and considered a delicacy.
The LARGEST zucchini ever grown was 69.5 inches long and weighed 65 pounds!

FPC is expanding into organic production with the addition of greenhouses.
