Strawberries
California produces nearly 90% of all strawberries grown in the U.S.
One acre of land can produce 50,000 pounds of strawberries.
Strawberries are only grown on 1% of California’s farmland.
California strawberries are available round.

3 main types of strawberries: June-bearing, Ever-Bearing & Day-Neutral. strawberry has 200 seeds.

Dairy & meat products do not have any fiber.
Fiber helps to regulate the body’s use of sugar.
Insoluble fiber does not dissolve in water…it helps food move throughout the digestive system.

Avocados
California produces around 400 MILLION pounds of avocados per year.
California is home to around 50,000 acres of avocado orchards.
90% of avocados grown in the U.S. are grown in California.
Avocado trees range from 60 feet tall.
Hass avocados are the most popular variety of avocado.
Hass avocados are NATIVE to California.
Avocados ripen after they are harvested.
An avocado tree produces around 60 pounds of avocados/year. It takes a minimum of a YEAR to grow an avocado.
