Open monday.com, make sure you’re in the “Educational Insights” workspace.

Click on the “2025 New Products” board.

Find the group with your name. Click on the three dots on the left > Duplicate this group > Duplicate items & updates.

Click on the group title to edit. Enter the SKU number and product name.

Delete any items that don’t apply to your product. You might not need the “Electronic Components” or “Printed Product Components” items depending on the product.

To assign a person to an item, click on the person icon and type or select a name from the drop-down list. To remove a person, click on the person icon and click on the “X” next to their name.

To add a date to an item, click on the corresponding cell and type or select a date. To remove a date, click on the “X” next to their date.

The item dates PD needs to enter are: PPB, Industrial Design, Packaging, and Guide.

Also, Printed Product Components, Electronic Components, and Spark More Play if applicable. *Each PM can choose to assign dates to subitems too if desired, though it is not required.

To change the status of an item click on the cell and select a label from the menu.

If an item has subitems, click on the arrow to expand it.

To collapse an item, click on the arrow to hide its subitems.

To attach a file, click Add/Manage files > From Computer > and select your file. *Make sure you’re using the correct template for files with multiple versions.

To view an item page, click Open Item page.

You’ll see the Updates view, which keeps all the conversations about a specific item in the same place and in context.

To view the files attached to this item, click on the Files view and then on the file to expand it.

Click the comment box at the bottom, a text box will appear. To place your comment on a specific spot in the file, click anywhere on the file before clicking Update. If you clicked Update before placing your comment in the correct spot, just drag and drop the pin.

FYI, only the person that made a comment can resolve it, try to resolve comments if the changes were made. Otherwise, the person editing the file in review will react to the comment with a check mark icon .

To add the check mark icon , hover over the "Like" button underneath the comment and select the green check mark.

To add a new version of a file, click on Versions on the right side tool bar > Add version > and select your file. *Make sure you’re using the correct template for files with multiple versions.

To start an approval process, go to the Approvals view and click “Add new round.”

A new Approval round will be listed, click on the pencil icon to edit the name. *Make sure you’re using the correct naming convention for items with multiple files that require approval.

Rename the Approval round and add approvers by typing or selecting a name from the drop-down list.

Approvers click the check mark or “X”.

Approvers add comments if applicable. Click Save to finish your approval.
