Dr.KazunoriIkebukuro receivedhisB.Sc.degreein1989fromUniversityofTokyoinJapan,M.Sc. degreein1992fromUniversityofTokyoandPh.D.degreein1996fromUniversityofTokyo.During hisM.Sc.course,hereceivedtheBritishCouncilscholarshipandstudiedatCranfieldInstituteofTechnologyintheUnitedKingdomfrom1990to1992.HisPh.D.thesisisonthedevelopmentofbiosensor forenvironmentalmonitoring.Dr.IkebukuroworkedattheResearchCenterforAdvancedScienceand Technology,UniversityofTokyo,Japanasaresearchassociatefrom1993to1996,andasalecturerfrom 1996to2001.HethenworkedattheDepartmentofBiotechnologyandLifeScience,TokyoUniversity ofAgricultureandTechnologyasanassociateprofessorandhasbeenworkingasaprofessoratTUAT since2009.

Hisresearchinterestsarein1)Developmentoffunctionalaptamersfortheranosticsusingevolutionarymolecularengineeringstrategy,2)Developmentofnovelsensingtechnologiesusingcombinationofaptamers,enzymesandantibodies,and3)Developmentofdetectionsystemforgeneandits epigeneticmodificationfocusingonDNA/RNAstructures.Heisalwaysfocusingonthedesignand developmentofmolecularrecognitiondeviceforbiosensors.

RoozbehJafari istheTimandAmyLeachProfessorofBiomedicalEngineering,ComputerScienceand EngineeringandElectricalandComputerEngineeringatTexasA&MUniversity,UnitedStates.He receivedhisPh.D.inComputerSciencefromUCLAandcompletedapostdoctoralfellowshipatUCBerkeley.Hisresearchinterestliesintheareaofwearablecomputerdesignandsignalprocessing.He hasraisedmorethan$86Mforresearchwith$23Mdirectedtowardshislab.Hisresearchhasbeen fundedbytheNSF,NIH,DoD(TATRC),DTRA,DIU,AFRL,AFOSR,DARPA,SRC,andindustry(Texas Instruments,Tektronix,Samsung,andTelecomItalia).

Dr.BorisMizaikoff isaChairedProfessorandDirectoroftheInstituteofAnalyticalandBioanalytical ChemistryatUlmUniversity,Ulm,Germany.Since2021,heisalsoaDirectorattheHahn-Schickard InstituteforMicroanalysisSystemsinUlm.Hisresearchinterestsfocusonopticalsensors,biosensors, andbiomimeticsensorsinthemid-infraredspectralrange,systemminiaturizationandintegration basedonmicro-andnanofabrication,multifunctional(nano)analyticalplatforms,developmentof biomolecular/biomimeticrecognitionarchitectures,multivariatedataevaluation,andapplicationsin environmentalanalytics,processanalysis,andbiomedical/clinicaldiagnostics.Heisauthor/co-author ofover400peer-reviewedpublications,18patents,andover100plenary,keynote,andinvitedcontributionsatscientificconferences.

ThiagoRegisLongoCesardaPaixão receivedhisB.Sc.fromtheInstituteofChemistryoftheUniversity ofSãoPauloin2001andbecameagraduatestudentatthesameinstitution,wherehereceivedhisM.Sc.
