What Is A Placement Scam?

A placement scam occurs when a company or individual uses deceptive practices to lure people into accepting a position that does not exist, does not pay as promised, or requires an upfront fee. Some of the tactics used include fraudulent websites, phishing emails, or fake job postings.

For example, a scammer might create a fake website or job listing for a prestigious organization, but the reality is that no such organization exists.
