Fall brings so much fun Many of us look forward to things that seem to just go with the fall season For those of us fortunate to serve in the ministry that is EDS, fall is always a time to say thank you to our radically generous EDS family for the financial support that means much more than most people see or realize. To be sure, the big shiny things are out there for all to see: A gorgeous gym with sparkling new bathrooms, beautiful murals, and a spectacular athletic complex and playspace. It is so rewarding to see the results of the giving that our teachers, trustees, and parents provide!
Less visible are the understated yet important ways that your gifts make us a safer and more secure school. EDS is intentional with every project and initiative that grows from the foundation of our advancement in that safety and security is baked in anywhere and everywhere possible. Sometimes these things are evident on the periphery, like the South Campus bollards that prevent harmful vehicular penetration through access gates. Some components of gift driven projects go unseen and unannounced, a practice we adopted from security consultants who advise against sharing all safety protocols and information, and these components are equally important
This framework of thought is certainly true as we plan our next advancement initiative on the Hilton-Green Campus As your support provides for our beautiful new entry and breezeway, it also contributes to our school's never-ending pursuit of a safe and secure campus. Being safe is better stated as becoming safe, and that process is a continuum rather than a destination. It is never reached and always being achieved. All of us in the EDS family are grateful for everyone who partners with us along our journey together. We are so much better together!
