A portion from the sale of each ball is donated back to WorawaCollege to assist in the running of their programs.
The Seasons Classroom Rug is a unique collaboration between First Nation artist DJ Mate and Elizabeth Richards. A truly beautiful classroom rug that gives kids space to ask questions, listen to stories and learn about Country. The Elizabeth Richards Indigenous Seasons Rug will become a central place in your classroom for sharing stories, holding yarning circles, reflecting on Indigenous histories and cultures, and learning the lessons of our First Nations people. The Elizabeth Richards Indigenous Seasons Rug is made from high a quality cutpile polyester blend with a non-slip latex backing and will withstand heavy foot traffic. Each rug is soil resistant and easily wiped down or vacuumed to maintain the vibrant colour.

DJ Mate was inspired by the traditional stories of the Dharawal People as told by Frances Bodkin in her book The Annual Cycle The Season of Ngoonungi .A description of each illustration and its significance is included on the back so you can share this beautiful story with your class.

The artwork has been created by Mitch Francis, a Gunditjmara and Bundjalung man from the Illawarra Region of NSW. Mitch’s artwork, titled “Flow of Learning”, beautifully depicts the journey of a child through education:
“Passing through the centre of the artwork is the child’s journey along the winding path of education and learning. The connecting blue lines lying behind symbolise all the places that each child visits throughout their own educational journey. The ‘U’ shapes along the sides of the design represent all the people who have been supportive in this journey.”
