LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT & CEO As we move through another season in Edmond, I’m reminded of one simple truth: gratitude is one of the most powerful forces behind a strong and connected community. In my role at the Edmond Chamber of Commerce, I have the privilege of seeing gratitude in action every day. It shows up in the way our businesses support one another, in our volunteers who give their time to strengthen our programs, and in the countless quiet acts of kindness that often go unnoticed but never go unfelt.
SHERRY JORDAN President & CEO
Gratitude Strengthens Our Relationships A community like ours thrives because of relationships—those built between business owners, civic leaders, educators, and residents. Expressing gratitude deepens those connections. It reminds us that our success is never achieved alone and that every accomplishment is tied to the support of others. Whether it’s a mentor offering guidance, a customer choosing local, or a partner stepping in at just the right moment, acknowledging these contributions is essential. Gratitude Keeps Us Grounded Leadership comes with constant demands, challenges, and decisions. In the midst of all of it, gratitude keeps us grounded. It allows us to shift our focus from what is urgent to what is important. By recognizing the good around us, we gain clarity, perspective, and renewed energy, something I believe every leader and every business owner needs. Gratitude Fuels Growth Edmond is a growing city, and growth brings both opportunities and responsibilities. As new businesses open, new families move in, and new projects take shape, gratitude helps us embrace change with optimism. When we recognize growth as a shared achievement, we continue building a community where people want to live, work, and invest. Gratitude Inspires Service One of the things I value most about Edmond is how willing people are to serve. From our board members and ambassadors to our government relations committees and event volunteers, many individuals pour their time and talents into making this city better. Their dedication inspires me daily. Gratitude not only honors that service, it encourages more of it. A Heartfelt Thank You To our members, partners, city leaders, and community champions: thank you. Thank you for believing in Edmond. Thank you for supporting local businesses. Thank you for showing up—at ribbon cuttings, at community events, in hard conversations, and in moments of celebration. Each of you plays a role in shaping the vibrant business environment we enjoy today. As we look ahead to this year, I hope we all continue to lead with gratitude. When we do, we build not just a stronger economy, but a stronger community, rooted in respect, generosity, and shared purpose.
