The equine evolution is intriguing to me as I think back to my early years of horses. Rodeo, Quarter Racing and a few horse shows were the only recreational use of horses in this region of the United Sates that stand out in my memory.

The advancement and changes to the Quarter Horse in 50 years are unimaginable not to mention the visibility of the equine world through media. Instant broadcast, photos and television and smart phones make astonishing accomplishments immediate video.

We live in a time of instant gratification yet genetics are still an annual event. The pressure made on mating selections are based on proven time tested and riding results. The gene pool variances can illuminate the good and bad traits of an animal particularly when linebreeding is implemented. We have been very cautious in stacking pedigrees until recent as a few combinations have proven exceptional results.

This has allowed us to replicate in numbers consistencies otherwise not obtainable.

The results are still an annual event to showcase the toils of our productions. The gratification is not instant as these new generations will take 2 to 5 years of training and practice.

Transfer Information

Membership in AQHA must be current in order to transfer a horse into your name.

Memberships are paid annually. If you need an AQHA membership, please call AQHA so that your transfer will not be held up for membership.

AQHA: (806) 376-4811 Please allow 4-6 weeks for a normal transfer of ownership. If you have questions regarding the status of your transfer for any horse purchased at this sale, please call our office.

TERMS & CONDITIONS Terms: are cash, to be paid in US currency and/or on US banks the day of the sale. Cash, Cashiers Check, Mastercard, Visa or approved Bank checks, will be accepted. No horse will leave the grounds without a bill of sale.

Bidding: Positive ID is required to receive a buyer’s number. Each bidder must have a buyer’s number to bid. The highest bidder is the buyer. If any dispute arises between two or more bidders, sole authority to settle the dispute is reserved by the auctioneer. His decision shall be final. The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Risk: Title to and risk or loss passes to the buyer when the animal is declared “SOLD” by the auctioneer. Buyers assume responsibility for maintenance and care from then on. All horses should be removed from the site the same day of sale, Nov.1, 2014, unless other arrangements have been made with A Bar Ranch.

Registration Papers: All registration papers will be withheld until all checks clear the banks.

At such time, they will be mailed to AQHA for transfer. The transfer fee of $15 to AQHA will be the responsibility of the buyer and will be added to the purchase price. A purchase invoice will be filled out on each horse EXACTLY how the purchaser wants a horse re g i ste re d . We will not be responsible for errors on transfers if purchase invoice is not properly and clearly filled out.
